From what we know of it (multiple protagonists we switch between, concept art on a desert planet), it may be similar mechanically, but it doesn't have the same setting or story.

I was on Sup Forums as the trailer was airing live during E3.
There was not a single positive comment about the game. Everyone was laughing at it and making fun of it having a cover system.
