Nah, NiGHTS is specifically a nongendered dream entity. It's also the "most real" game character I can think of thanks to some meandering bullshit the devs put out about how dreams are real and NiGHTS is just a dreams, and if our dreams our real then NiGHTS is a real, making it realer-er than dreams about Mario or Pokemon.

The important part of the meandering bullshit is that a dream about NiGHTS is basically, actually, 100% canon and real.
An awkward sex dream about your coworker isn't real, it's just a dream. If you had a dream about being really good at Natural Selection 2 it isn't true, it's just a dream.
But NiGHTS is "just a dream" and since it is "just a dream" this makes any dreams about NiGHTS into reality.
So if you had an awkward sex dream about NiGHTS it's real, in its own fucked up way. is not wrong.
