Enjoy video games.

Why are you trying to say Iwata being dead is bad for Nintendo? He is the person responsible for the state it is in now.

>helped bring shovelware back to Nintendo
>changed focus of the company to gimmicks over substance
>changed market strategy to dropping their consumers in favor of one time sales
>so on so forth

PIRATE

Stay with Win7, disable every single M$ "security" "features" and download every single good game in existence. Any game that requires Win10 or have Denuvo, does not deserve your precious time.

Maybe stop believing in boogeymen and play fucking video games

Stop pirating good games. Show that you're interested in them and that it's worth developing them

>Sony slowly turning into evil.
Huh?

You people that post this shit always forget that he was there during the gamecube days.

You fags didnt buy a gamecube. You probably bought a wii though.

There's like 4-6 interesting games.

>forget that he was there during the gamecube days
People like him, Miyamoto, and hell, even George Lucas are examples of people that do well in lower positions, but are horrible when they have complete control. Just because he was there for the GC doesn't mean he was the right man to lead the company.

>You fags didnt buy a gamecube
I've owned most consoles, including the GC. MK DD is one of my favorite games of all time, probably because I always got my shit kicked in on MK64, got a GC with MK DD, played non-stop for 3 days, then became unbeatable for the longest time.

My point was that no one bought a gamecube. Thanks to him, Nintendo was as relevant as they were in the NES days for a time.

Super NES 64 gamecube....they all didnt leave a mark like the NES or wii and you know it. I still want another gamecube but that shit wont ever happen.

wow I see 2 games I might watch playthroughs of on Jewtube

Get into a better hobby like board games.

>kept Nintendo out of mobile gaming up until the end of his life when he became Kimishima's puppet
>stopped garbage like Federation Force from being greenlit until he became Kimishima's puppet and was forced to give in to his demands
>tried to foster long lasting relationships with Japanese third party devs instead of selling out to EA and Ubisoft
>funded games based on their quality rather than how much they'd sell, like Sin & Punishment 2 or Bayonetta 2
>realized the company misstepped with their casual focus during the first half of the Wii era and worked hard to try and win them back

Kimishima took control in late 2014, his first actions as Iwata's puppet master were to cut out Mewtwo from Smash to sell as DLC and to expand amiibos far beyond their original purpose of being collectible figures.

>Thanks to him, Nintendo was as relevant
No they weren't... Again, they dropped their consumers in the game market and instead garnered sales from a non-market. He made the Wii less relevant to the game market than the fucking Ouya. Did it get sales? Yes, but from people who have no interest in becoming gamers.

Since this strategy can only work once, the Wii U bombed. If anything, dropping the Wii 2.0 in favor of the Switch is a sign that Nintendo is looking to heal.

Pirate. Battle.net. Emulate. GoG Galaxy.

Only four I have found acceptable.

>less relvant than the ouya

Look i get what youre trying to say but this is just flat out wrong. I played wiiware exclusives like Castlevania the adventure and wii exclusives like madworld, zack n wiki, and i had a great time with the console.

I admit that it didnt sell well among people like me or yourself but there were great games on it and it was the first time in a long time nintendo was a hot topic.

>Sony
>Slowly turning to evil

Sony has been evil for decades...
Did you forget the rootkits and the fix that installed more rootkits?
Do you not remember them trying to censor a number?
Do you not remember Sony ensured that CD has mandatory region coding and encryption (where on HD-DVD it was optional for the disc)
Do you not remember them removing features from a console (SACD, OtherOS)
Do you not remember that they own Macrovision
Do you not remember all the bullshit they've pulled as Colombia

That's just the surface too, Sony is an inherently evil company.

Does your dad work for Nintendo?

Iwata is more akin to Jony Ive than George Lucas.

Ive is essential to Apple, but he needs someone to keep in him line, that was Jobs - he bring Ive back down to earth, but Cook can't do that as Ive and Cook were on level positions and prior to him getting the promotion, no one really cared who Cook was, Ive has been a public part of Apple for over 15 years.
So now we get stupid shit like an iPad with a pencil that sticks out the end, no headphone jack on the successor to the iPod line, a laptop with ONE port, etc.
Jobs would've struck that shit down immediately but he's dead and now the the good natured but irresponsible execs are running the whole company.

It's impossible to prove without a machine to enter alternate timelines, but I still submit that the only reason Wii U failed was due to its abhorrent marketing, especially in light of Sony's incredibly aggressive campaign about the PS4 being "the system to buy" before the generation even started. It just became a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I wholeheartedly believe that if non-gamers actually knew of the Wii U and what it was, they'd have eaten it up just like the Wii. There's no reason why Apple can get away with selling marginal iPad upgrades every year and pull off sales in the millions, but for some reason the Wii U wasn't "distinct enough" from the Wii to sell. That's just nonsense.

>Battle.net.
>gog galaxy
>acceptable
just kill yourself already

Battle.net? When the other are very explicitly anti-DRM? What kind of fucking pedestal do you put Blizzard on?

He means in the eyes of Sup Forums aka popular is evil

>but there were great games on it
The great games on the Wii existed despite the Wii, not because of the Wii.

>first time in a long time nintendo was a hot topic
Getting massive sales from non-consumers isn't a good thing. This didn't return them to glory. It just game them a temporary sales boost, and made the failure of the Wii U practically guaranteed.

*other three

You realize all of what you said about the Wii in that post could be said about the PS2, the highest-selling home console of all time despite its hardware being absolute shit? What's more important, the system or library?

>Only one game I'm interested in
>Nothing worth buying a PS4 for

Fuck this semen slurping generation

Nothing left to do but to appreciate simpler times, back when the world made sense.

>only two choices of games: either weebshit or brown & bloom shootan

No thanks.

Don't bother, these sad fools hate video games now.

>I wholeheartedly believe that if non-gamers actually knew of the Wii U and what it was, they'd have eaten it up just like the Wii

There are three types of potential consumers. You have your install base, those that are willing to become a part of your install base, and those that have no interest in becoming part of your install base. Video games are steadily growing in sales because companies like M$ and Sony target that second type of consumer. Nintendo wasn't doing a good job at that, so they went for the third time. The problem is that these people are "non-gamers" for a reason. The product just does not fit their normal buying habits. Sure you can garner sales from them once, but once you get that first sale, there won't be a second sale. They aren't gamers. They have their neat little gadget. There was no chance in hell that Nintendo's strategy was going to work a second time in such a short span of time.

>implying Steam hasn't always been a cancer
>implying Windows hasn't always been a home-phoning botnet filled with rot
Maybe stop being such a bitch OP. You can play a shitton on GNU/Linux as long as you have half a brain, and you can easily quarantine Win10 off to the side to play the maybe 5 games that are worth subjecting yourself to corporate dick over.

No... The PS2 wasn't sold to "non-consumers".

>What's more important, the system or library?
Equal in some sense. The library seems more important, but that library is created based on the system. The Wii and its waggle gimmick influenced the library that was available on the system.

>GNU/Linux
it's linux not gnu nor gnu/linux, you damn commie

When you look at that picture. It's hard not to. Video games have become a parody of themselves. Especially when Sony is shilling 30fps cinematic rooty tooty point and shooty and weeb shovelware.

Let it all burn

So you're finally taking the red pill and realizing videogames are a waste of time

Good for you

Do something with your life, like make a video game

>Sonybros so fucking desperate they're STILL trying to push Days Gone as a positive

TRUE RED PILL

everythings a waste of time

You're half right
It's GNU + Linux

Oh come on, half of what made the PS2 sell so well was because it was a cheap DVD player. When not even the Wii sold as much as the PS2, do you really think even HALF of the PS2's ultimate sales are from "gamers"?

GOG and emulation.

Windows 1/2/3 didn't have phone home features.
They didn't even have TCP/IP.

WinNT and Win95 both added _NSAKEY

Oh yes, let's all gather round for a rousing game of fucking TUX RACER. As soon it finishes compiling, of course. Oh wait, guru meditation. Anyone know their way around a sudo command prompt?

>he doesn't know Wine+GalliumNine runs DX9 games faster than Windows

I'm sure the twelve Windows XP holdouts will be overjoyed to hear that, especially if it means that they still don't have to switch over from Firefox and join the rest of the 2010s.

>not playing Battle for Wesnoth and Xonotic with your buds
I'm sorry I can't hear you over muh freedoms

>Sony just turning into evil
Fuck off.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_BMG_copy_protection_rootkit_scandal

DRM is an issue because it interferes with my convenience. Battle.net doesn't.

Thy don't have to leave Firefox to join the 2010s, Firefox 57 will essentially be reskin of Chrome.
Those who are sticking with the old extension system have already migrated to FF forks like Pale Moon.

Battle.net is DRM in the same way Steam or uPlay is.

>project diva
>gundam

The PS sold more than half of what the PS2 sold. It is practically guaranteed that most of the PS2 sales came from previous gamers, let alone the untapped gamers that flooded in with shit like Madden.

I should have made my point clearer though. The PS2 wasn't designed in a way that alienated gamers in order to garner sales from non-gamers. DVD is something that benefited gamers. Wii on the other hand did the opposite. It focused around a gimmick that didn't benefit gamers, just because it looked interesting to non-gamers. To say the two did the same thing is just pure ignorance.

Nintendo and Microsoft are getting better though.

>Sony slowly turning evil
They were always evil
>Nintendo slowly turning shit
They've been shit for at least the past two generations

brown & bloom ended like five years ago, retard
