Microsoft is really bad a managing their IPs and studios. A quick look at 343 and Rare will tell you that right away.

Forza is the only Xbox IP that's been consistently good throughout their brand's history.

Doesn't Xbox One already use Windows10 as a base for its software? It uses DirectX12, even.

Letting console players use mouse and keyboard is something consoles are two generations late on doing.

Selling consoles at a loss is normal-fare in the game industry anyway. The major reason the 3DO failed was because they could not sell the console at a loss(the format didn't belong to anybody), pricing it at like 600 US back in 1995.

PS4 has K+M support so did some PS3 games and even PSX games have mouse support.
