Is anyone here also tired of Nintendo?

I've been a Nintendo fan all my life, I supported the Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Wii and the Wii U. I'm holding on buying a PS4 because I want Money to spend on the Switch. I wasn't mad when they simply stopped making games for the Wii U and moved to the Switch nor when I see that they would be porting major games. I was eager and hopeful for the Switch's future, I thought it would receive a lot of japanese third party games (basically the only games I'm interested in). But in the last few days I started to realize that this might not be the case.

Switch won't receive Kingdom Hearts 3, I was really hopeful for this one, I love KH and would like to play it on the Switch, but seeing the trailer today, it's still only XONE and PS4. It won't receive Final Fantasy VII Remake, but that one was just a dream anyway, maybe PC will get it. It won't receive Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, I loved Dissidia on PSP and seeing that even fucking Dissidia is not getting released on the Switch is really sad for me. It looks like it won't get Monster Hunter World too and will just have the half-assed XX port. It's not getting Ni no Kuni 2, Dark Souls III, Persona 5, Code Vein and other japanese games.

I know a lot of you will me mad at me, but this is not a troll thread, I'm just starting to think that this japanese support is not going to the Switch like I thought it would, where is Square, Capcom, Sega, Namco with their big games? Why do they keep ignoring the Switch and its userbase? Espcially in Japan where it's going to be huge? Anyone else feeling like this? Now I don't know if I should buy a PS4 or just have more hope and wait for more announcements.

didn't read lol

I just thought the Switch would receive a lot of japanese third party games, It's quite disappointing to see KH3, Dissidia, FF7R, MHW, P5, Code Vein etc skipping it.

>Ever assuming developers would ever sacrifice their PS4 and Xbox One versions for the sake of the Switch getting a less than stellar port due to hardware limitations of the same

Unfortunately, the PS4 and the Xbox One is still where a lot of the crowd is and that's what makes big-name developers make games for such consoles in the first place, because these already have established fanbases that may have played previous games of their franchises.

You don't get that with the Switch, it's going to attract a lot of new people into the crowd which may or may not have played the franchises these big-name developers have churned out.

I stopped giving a shit regarding third party developers ever making games for the Switch, they simply just won't due to their stubbornness of not risking. Everyone in this game industry is a fan of "better play it safe" whether you like it or not. The only consoles I'd argue Nintendo would have plenty of support would be in handheld consoles and that's it and that's simply because Nintendo's handhelds are simply the cheapest, thus the most easily accessible consoles to obtain compared to anything else.

We can hope for more in E3, but we all know deep down it simply won't happen.

I don't own only Nintendo platforms.

I'm talking mainly about japanese support here. The 3DS is the third biggest console in Japan, Switch is following in its footsteps, I was really expecting a lot of support from Square, Capcom, Namco and Sega. Imagine if Square released mainline Final Fantasy on 3DS, it would sell close to 3 million or even surpass it, I fail to see why it wouldn't be the same for the Switch, but they still insist on skipping the platform. KH3, FF7R, Dissidia are all signs that they are still going to focus on fucking XONE (where their games sell like shit) and let Switch have only mid-tier budget games like Octopath Traveler and Legend of Mana roms.

A lot of those games are too far in development to port to switch

Nice blog dude

That's not true at all. Was Zelda too far in development to port to Switch? Do you honestly think Nintendo didn't send Square and Capcom Switch's dev kits before the announcement?

Whatever OP said, yes, I'm quite fatigued by Nintendo's bullshit as of recent. Season Passes, crap games, I'm offended, really.

This E3 must deliver.

I got tired of Nintendo within the first year of the Wii as that's when I first noticed their drought of games.

I was kind of aware during the Gamecube era but damn did the gap between Mario Galaxy and Brawl highlight it for me. I dumped my Wii and got a PS3 and have since been cautious about buying any Nintendo hardware.

I might buy a Switch in a year or two once they have a solid enough library of games that equal out to more than value of the system. Plus not having any rumors about a new Nintendo will help as I wouldn't want to be like one of those poor late Wii U adopters.

You put too much effort into shitposting, faggot.

No one's going to fucking read all that.

This. Company loyalty past the 90's is fucking stupid. It was stupid then too.

>where is Square, Capcom, Sega, Namco with their big games?
It's not 2003 anymore dude. None of those companies have big games anymore. I spose you're also upset at the lack of Konami support?

Nintendo is the side dish, you dont buy it for your main console.

If you really are a nintendo fan and especially for so long, you should've known how "it" works as a nintendo player.

You have a PC and on the side your nintendo consoles, maybe even a ps4 (for this gen), and you play that One game that nintendo brings once each year that completely blows away the rest of the games you played said year.
This years example is easy, it's Breath of the wild. On top of having played NieR, Resident evil 7, Little nightmares, hollow night etc etc on your PC, you take a small break from PC gaming and play Breath of the Wild. While of course, the rest of the games you played are pretty good, they won't compare to a mainline nintendo first party game. The thing is, once it's done, you leave nintendo on the side again for 9 to 12 months until the next big hitter comes out. I think next years example will be Mario Odyssey.
I literally haven't touched my wii U again after beating breath of the wild completely 10 days after it came out. This is the life of a nintendo fan. On nintendo hardware alone, there's no way for you to survive.

This isn't even an "unspoken secret rule" or something. How many times have you seen a PC + Nintendo maste race thread/post? Exactly.

>Nintendo is rice. it's the same plain old shit you've been eating all your life but you never really grow tired of it.

the gimmicks are adding things like vegetables or cheese to the rice. it all makes sense now.

That's cause you're doing it wrong. As funny as it might sound. You can be wrong about HOW you're a nintendo fan.

As much of a Nintendo fan I am, I just wasn't a fan of the Wii U simply having its life cut short for the sake of the Switch. People keep insisting "Oh, Switch's got great chances of having a great future unlike the Wii U", but honestly, I can't help being fearful that Nintendo may have cut the Wii U's life support for the sake of possibly having yet another "Wii U" case in their hands regarding game droughts with the Switch. It just doesn't feel like it's going to be that much different?

Nintendo adopting the paid online system really makes me sort of anxious for what they think might be the future of gaming. It doesn't feel like they're really taking their own steps, but rather mimicking the other competitors' moves while still making the console something of their own. At least the price isn't as high as the rest, but who are we to know if that price won't eventually rise?

I'm more tired of xbros because they're delusional enough to think that scorpio will kill the ps4 userbase

Like I said I've since learned to just wait 1-2 years into a Nintendo system life before buying (got my Wii U when Hyrule Warriors and Bayo2 came out).

I'm gonna wait out this E3 to see what's announced and them probably get a Switch sometime next Fall once Splatoon2, Arms, Mario, Xeno2 (not likely but I'd hope it's out by late 2018), and whatever they announce Tuesday are all out.

At least I have my 3DS with its solid library.

I don't like third person shooters so literally no other consoles do anything for me.

This is bullshit and you know it.

The wii U's life wasn't short considering that it came out in 2012 and the switch on 2017. Except if you mean it in a different way because basically after 2014 maybe early 2015, not much came out for it. Meaning it had a life of roughly 2.5 years. Then yes, i agree with you. But technically, it had the same life span as the Snes, n64 and the gamecube. You are just getting older and time moves faster.

Nah, Nintendo is always the main course, because they're the only ones that give a shit about making games these days. Sony is the side dish for the random good exclusive or multiplat.

I was a Nintendo 64 kid, but then I bought a PS2. I can't stomach that kid shit. I literally don't like a single Nintendo series. All I played on my 64 was GoldenEye.

I got no loyalty, though. I buy whatever console has games I want.

It came out late 2012, and the Switch was very early into 2017. It was a bit shorter than other consoles at only 4 years.

I agree with your method. I personally buy them at launch and do this It's better if you ask me to play the games fresh at launch and then wait 9-12 months til the next nintendo game, instead of playing All 6 worthwhile games at once, 3-4 years later and then wait for the next nintendo console.

Obvious microsoft paid employee is obvious

Kingdom Hearts is for autists and FF7R is a fucking abomination that shouldn't exist that will ruin everything that made FF7 good in the first place.

Fuck off kid.

???

All the games that are touted as amazing are third person shooters and I just don't enjoy them.

>tlou
>uncharted
>gta
>red dead redemption
>gears of war
>battlefront
>the division

And when I think about it I don't like fps either. Shooters just aren't for me and that crosses off a tonne of games

Zelda is their first party game which has been in devlopment for quite some time.

It's pretty logical that Nintendo wants a game this big to be a launch title for their newest console especially with the userbase of the Wii U, it's simply logical. For third party developers this is more of a gamble.

Christ dude, if we are completely objective, it was november 2012 til march 2017. That's 4 years and 5 months. So yeah, roughly 4 and a half years compared to the usual 5.

You can say the same of most consoles really. Except for the PC platform where there is this constant waiter next to your table watching how and what you are eating.

>was Nintendo's first party title too far in production to port to its own console?

Thats just a dumb question dude. If you have been building a game on a console for a few years you cant just put it on an entirely different console.

>Caring about non first party nintendo
Look, I didn't read all your shit but I never get why people want multiplat games on Nitnendo consoles so bad when tech isnt at all what they exceed at. I want quirky unique inhouse games.
What I do want them to do is to drop the whole two console at a time bullshit and just focus on one system so their arent as many droughts.

Well if anything Nintendo has learned another lesson from Sony/MS and they're rehashing their last gen games as "remasters" or "DX" editions to help pad out what would be huge gaps in major game releases (seriously imagine the Switch without Mario Kart 8 DX, you wanna wait from March to June with only BotW to play?).

Paid online was another logical step as Nintendo is just going with the industry flow like never before. Paid DLC/Season Passes both in the eShop and with Amiibos.

I'm half expecting the next Mario sports title to have some tacked on single player story mode like all the EA sports games seem to have now.

"Mario Golf 2K18: The Journey - The Story of Waluigi"

Why don't you just buy both? Switch is a fucking portable. Do you think the average consumer is going to weigh their decision and choose BETWEEN a Switch and a PS4? No because this is internet console warrior logic. These two things aren't in direct competition for anything other than retail shelf space and your own free time.

Video game consoles are one time purchase item toys. Just buy both of them for fuck's sake. They both do things and play games that the other cannot and never will. It's not going to be uncommon for households to have multiple switches because it's a fucking portable.

Jesus fucking Christ just buy both they're not even expensive

>I really want to play the casualized cinematic QTE open world MH!

So you don't like actual MH, then?

>I want to play FF7R
Oh, you have terminal shit taste. Move on.

The Switch came out on March 3, so it was roughly a year and a third. But who actually buys consoles at launch? I got my Wii U when Mario Kart 8 came out and I enjoyed that console a lot.

Well that waiter is watching me masturbate and play SHMUPS.

SE seems to have some autistic compulsion to make Final Fantasy a graphical benchmark for the industry.

Good way to put it. Nintendo makes good games but not as many as they used to. I would like to hear a good explanation as to why but it is what it is. I have the switch and enjoy using it to play with my younger siblings but I don't know anyone besides my cousin who owns one since everyone's BTFO by them being out of stock constantly

Not yet. As an idort, I think I'll always need a sparkle of Nintendo in my library.

How do you know code vein and MHW are skipping it

>Switch won't receive Kingdom Hearts 3
Every main KH game has been on a sony console, only 3 spin off touched Nintendo portables, why would be KH3 on switch?
>Fan of Nintendo since N64
Doubt it, I had my 64 and now im 29yo, I have a good job with a Ps4 and a Switch, how a full grown man wouldn't have a decent job today? Only underage kids would need to save up money or needed to choose between the 2.

Actually they make more games than they used too or at least according to this nice list I found.

nintendo.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Nintendo_games_by_year_(US)

They've really pumped out a lot of stuff since 2010 on a yearly basis vs. what they put out in the 80s and 90s.

That's because they had third parties in the 80s and at least part of the 90s.

>SE seems to have some autistic compulsion to make Final Fantasy a graphical benchmark for the industry.
That's because FF always sold for the graphics.

Well I have 3ds only and if sony announces price cut during e3 for ps4 slim. That I'm gonna be sony. Until 2019 atleast

This is the most patethic excuse i ever seen
Not even damage control

itt OP has unrealistic expectations

There are more vita units sell in japan lol kys

God damn I'm not reading that wall of text.

>I've been

why do people insist on lying?

why isnt bomberman in blue circle?

Mario Tennis GBC had a campaign mode and it made it the best entry in the series, shut your mouth.

If you are trusting MHW to not be on the Switch because of the leak then you'll also know that it's going to have open world, ''westernized'' combat (whatever that means) and also that the Switch is getting Portable 5th which will retain the classic gameplay style instead?

lmao this guy's art got stolen and sold in some knockoff t-shirt store.

I'm tired of life.

I just want the arguing to stop.

fpbp

>I only eat three times a year

You should feel bad for liking Kingdom Hearts and for wanting that garbage remake of VII.
The new Dissidia is a shitty arcade port that isn't as good as the PSP games.
Monster Hunter World either doesn't exist or will be an utterly watered-down Monster Hunter in the same vein as Frontier. There's literally no reason why Capcom would port XX to the Switch then abandon a handheld platform and userbase for PS4, which hasn't even sold well in Japan.

tl;dr

post more loli
