What's your favorite area in the Souls series Sup Forums?
What's your favorite area in the Souls series Sup Forums?
sen's fortress. the rest is trash
Lagtown
Anor fundo. In ds1 ofc. Next to that is probably forest of fallen giants and tower of latria. I actually love all the souls series areas besides 2-2 in demons.
Ash lake
You know Bloodborne isn't a part of Souls series? It is like saying Armored Core is a part of it.
My dude
mah nigga, great taste.
I'm so pissed out of all the areas they could have ripped off and made a copy of in DS2 and DS3 we never saw actual ash lake again.
Like you really wanna make a million new swamps and castles but you can't make one ash lake? Gay.
CATACOMBS OF THE GIANTS AKA SKELETON PURGING GOUNDS
The atmosphere has yet to be topped
Fishing Hamlet has everything beat in terms of atmosphere, I just love the whole thing. Level design and enemy placement are nothing special, but I love it anyway.
Lordran is my favorite setting overall though.
10/10 picks
9/10
8/10
It's impossible to pick just one.
>DS1
I like most of them equally they're all that good but probably Undead Basin due to nostalgia
>DS2
Implying
>DS3
Archdragon Peak, Irithyll Dungeon/Profaned Capital, Cathedral Deep, Ringed City
>BB
All of Hunters Nightmare and Yhargul. Only complaint about this game is its way too fucking dark, the variety of environments is awful.
Upper Cathedral Ward has better atmosphere than Latria.
The Depths - Blighttown - Ash Lake, this entire section.
I liked Frozen Eleum Loyce in DS2. But my taste is probably beyond shit.
That's like saying Mario Kart isn't Mario.
>the variety of environments is awful
What you mean to say is that the design is cohesive and doesn't shoehorn in lava levels for no reason.
Dark souls 3 invasion's made me start cutting myself. I am dead fucking serious.
Painted World is pretty high up there before Dark Souls 3 expanded on it. It was really mysterious at the time with all that Velka shit, also the first snow level in Souls.
Also a fantastic pick. Took me a week to beat that area, not because I kept dying or anything like that, but mostly because of how spooked I was. Place felt wrong.
Just play offline then
>DS1
Anor Londo
>DS2
Doors of Pharros. It was just really cool looking.
>Bloodborne
Yahar'gul and Upper Cathederal Ward.
Haven't played DS3 yet.
Mario Kart is a seperate franchise that shares the characters from other mario games.Bloodborne is a completely seperate game from the Souls franchise. It isnt connected to it in anyway other than sharing similar combat.DS1, DS2 and DS3 all are in the same franchise since they have many connections on every aspect. If you think Blooborne is a part of the Souls franchise just because it shares a similar combat to Souls then you are a massive idiot
Im the one invading tho : ^)
when you lose 23 times in a row to ganks it completely fucks you up, don't even give that "it's just a game" bullshit. Im too far gone at this point
Nothing from DeS, or DS1+2, cause those games were shit.
Probably Cainhurst
I just really fucking love nighttime winter landscapes and haunted castles.
The Gutter from Dark Souls II. It's my least favorite game in the series, but that level is so much fun to explore and light all the sconces. I loved finding the black moth there and just had a fun time getting through that level.
>DS I
The Kiln of the First Flame
>DS III
The Painted World
>merely similar combat
holy fuck dude open your eyes, the games are almost exactly the same with a different coat of paint
(You)
No it's a great semi-open city with multiple paths and secrets. Great taste user.
>That moment when you drop a snowball over a bunch of hollows
You posted it OP. Cainhurst reminded me of Catlevania desu.
>DS1, DS2 and DS3
So Demons suddenly doesn't count
>Playing BB with only the cane and hunters tools as your subweapons
CV as fuck
>DeS
Tower of Latria
>DaS
Painted World Of Ariamis
>DaS II
Frozen Eleum Loyce
>DaS III
The Ringed City
>Bloodborne
Forsaken Cainhurst Castle
Favourite:
Tower of Latria
Tower of Latria Shrine of storms is still great for all that pvp.
Painted world.
The uh...Mansion with all the oddities in it was a cool concept I guess...
Irithyll
Cainhurst.
Tower of Latria was the best. Demons Souls easily had the best levels over all.
Do you fucking retards know what is the definition of a franchise?Bloodborne and Demon's Souls dont share anything with Dark Souls, which means they arent related at all.DeS and BB are their own games without any connection to the Dark Souls ''series''.
He didn't say Dark Souls series, he said Souls series, which is a colloquial term known to include Demon's Souls and Bloodborne, you mouth breathing retard.
...
you're being lame, anonymous
It's just a game.
the only patrician choice.
You've spent the last few hours trudging into the forsaken pits of the world. Fighting deeper and deeper through shit and blight. You've lost track of how far you've gone, and can't be certain how further you've yet to go. Things can't get much worse.
You stumble upon a random treasure chest in a massive tree. There's an illusory wall behind it. Okay. And another one behind that. What the fuck is going on here...
A hidden area? Going down again are we? You've completely lost the sense of where you're going and are now just descending blindly.
You're probably in the depths of hell at this point as you emerge from the tree.
>Dat music
>Dat open blue sky
>Dem endless archtrees in the distance
>Dat atmosphere
>Dat feeling of awe and profound insignificance
Can't top it. One of my top 3 moments in gaming.
And then you go kill Sieglinde while the hydra shoots you
