>Get fucked sonybros

Why are Nintendofags so obsessed with Sony?

the weebs vs the weebs
when they aren't shitposting about each other, they're e-fucking each other in their mmos uguu =3=

>Doesn't use a frostbite engine
>PS3 port with updated roster.

kekus

I can't see anybody buying this on anything other than steam or switch

PS4 is just useless now, budget option if you can't afford to build a pc basically

> phone tier graphics
> b-but we won
HAHAHAHA not to mention it has lesser modes. why does nintendo even bother having 3rd party games when those games always are lesser then the xbox/ps/pc version?

tsuu

>switch gets the ps3/xbox360 port
nice next gen console you got there nintendo

KEK

So once xbox comes out with a normal system with all the 3rd party support that Sony has what is the point of ever purchasing a Sony console?

>won't have single player mode
What?

>nintenbros think europeans are going to buy a switch to play last gen FIFA

it wont have the alex hunter story mode

>Nintendo changes their CPU architecture from the dead PowerPC to ARM
>suddenly, 3rd parties are making games for them again
It's not that hard to figure out, man. What company in their right mind would hire a new set of programmers just to make a port for the Wii U?

TSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

>pre frost engine

That's a great thing. Frostbite is awful.

Why would you need a ps4 when you can play the game on ps3 or 360

Sure thing bro

> why buy a superior console for exclusive features and full experience
ps3 and xbox dont have alex hunter mode and frost engine.

and the engine before frost was good? ha ok

Neither does the switch

I tried a fifa game recently since I had an ea game pass I got with my xbox and it was awful.

Frostbite is only ok for shooters and even so it doesn't matter since BF is a shit tier series anyway.

>Get fucked sonybros we have the europeans cashcow
Nobody above 10 in Europe uses Nintendo for gaming. Nintendo is synonym of man child console here.

It's not last gen though. It's a customized version of the engine the PS4 version used up until last year's version. It has physical based rendering lighting and actual 3D grass. And it's 1080p docked. The PS3 version didn't have these things and was 720p. It's just missing the stuff and modes related to the frostbite engine.

EA obviously took the cheap route not wanting to risk much if the switch was a failure and they obviously have put a little more into it recently now that they know the switch is a success.

For portable FIFA this is fine. It's also slightly cheaper than the PS4 version in some Eurobro countries

>what do you mean I can't play as a fast paced nigger?

shit mode anyway that is easily completed within 20 hours with cutscenes.

You guys must not know fun then, tons of adults in America play on Nintendo consoles.

Why would I want to play fifa at all

This. It's casual normalfag trash.

Why would anyone buy pc?
Nobody gives a fuck about that trash.
It's a meme console port garbage platform.

the same america that spawns manchildren schoolshooters third wave feminists and other more degeneracies. you guys are fucking hypocritical weebs who apologise for whale hunting in japan but when the gooks eat dog its inhumane FUCK off

Holy shit you really need to leave your room once in a while. Normies don't buy games for consoles, they buy consoles for games. I know at least 10 people who either bought a PS4 or Xbone just to play the current FIFA and CoD game on the "newest hardware". I bet you also can't believe that people actually choose to play shooters on consoles.

It doesn't run on Frostbite, but it's also not using the previous gen engine either (Ignite)
They apparently have a custom-built engine just for Switch.

>Getting an Xbox 360 port is a great thing

>This is the first game we put on Nintendo Switch. It's not that game downsized. It's not gen three up-rezzed. It's something that has been built with this console in mind entirely.
>60fps confirmed
>Lan-mode confirmed (Local Seasons)
sounds ok

>tfw i'll never be this guy
It's a good feel

It's not reusing the Ignite engine, they have a custom-built engine for Switch.

nintendofags never learn

It's not, they are obviously cleverly ommiting that. But if you look at the gameplay, animations, transitions and visuals it's obviously identical to FIFA 17 on Xbox 360.

They may have added stuff to it, but the base is the last gen versions, hence the lack of the Story Mode, new animation system, FUT Champions, Pro Clubs, etc.

>they are obviously cleverly ommiting
eurogamer.net/articles/2017-06-11-fifa-18-on-nintendo-switch-is-the-best-portable-fifa-ever
>It's not Frostbite. It's custom-built. The whole engine is entirely new to the platform.
Either they actually have a custom-built engine or they lied.

>costum engine
>all popular modes
>60 fps
>single joycon support

everything is fine, literally nobody gives a fuck about a fucking singleplayer about some black kid playing football

Norway does whaling too, and you retards let arabs who hate western culture overrun your countries. Eat shit europoor

Looks fine to me.

youtube.com/watch?v=5_8lzzjeiCs&app=desktop

>single joycon support
If that's true, then it'll be a big seller.
I imagine all the soccer fans will be happy that they can play FIFA with their mates wherever they want

They "lied", it's the last gen engine with new stuff, like 3D crowds and grass and a new Lighting engine.

It's custom in the same way that FIFA on the Wii was a custom-built engine, but it was painfully based of the PS2 versions.

paid reviews isnt just a meme wow wtf who scores a game this high just because the gamepad controls are comfy which they are NOT

We also may have gotten WWE 2K18:

I see.
Well, the gameplay looks alright to me (), certainly better than any previous handheld FIFA game.

From the eurogamer interview
>It's a portable FIFA. It's the best portable FIFA we ever did. It has a lot of features and you can play in all of the possible configurations the console has. You can play handheld, docked, with a single Joy-con, with dual Joy-con, with a Pro Controller.

As an handheld FIFA is miles better than any other version, the closest is the Vita version which does use the same lineage of the engine but ran at 30 FPS and didn't have Ultimate Team.

this ffs
are Sup Forumsirgins so detached from reality to know FIFA or COD are literally called console sellers in the business?

Nice.
youtube.com/watch?v=6c5ePHV7ZvM
youtube.com/watch?v=ik52rzsMfjY
It does look pretty meh on Vita.

>Dev source:

>"It's actually very close to FIFA 16 on the PS4/XB1. Players are full PBR, 3d crowd, 3d grass, HDR rendering, etc."

>"And it's crazy to think that's possible when you consider the size of that thing compared to those consoles.

>1080p, 60fps gameplay docked. 720p, 60fps gameplay in handheld. Cutscenes are still 30fps, like all the other platforms."

Also it says the switch is capable of frostbite but they went this route for a better experience on switch. That could be PR speak but it also probably means the frostbite version would have a lower resolution or frame rate on the switch hardware while this is 720p undocked and 1080p docked at 60fps

Then who really cares if it looks a little worse. I swear graphicsfags ruined gaming culture.

The problem between versions of the engines are more about gameplay than graphics.

because frostbite engine changes the whole gameplay and adds a fun mode with it. only poorfags will get the switch version

Europe is irrelevant

>implying the nigels/chads/vincents who play soccer vidya own a switch

Changes the gameplay for the worse. Frostbite is a terrible engine for gameplay.

>But if you look at the gameplay, animations, transitions and visuals it's obviously identical to FIFA 17 on Xbox 360.
The actual people that have previewed it say its closer to 16-17 on the XB1/PS4 than anything else.

>because frostbite engine changes the whole gameplay
Yes, it has made the game slower in the newest version.

>This isn't so TSU

Why are people discussing FIFA on Sup Forums?

its going to be the same pay2win bullshit we always have all years

Is that official cover art? Because it looks disgusting.

t. Messi

Why is he so perfect Sup Forums?

Who?

Frostbite is the Battlefield engine and by Frostbite in the context of FIFA it's specifically Frostbite 3 which is an AMD Mantle-optimized engine. DICE actually co-developed the Mantle API with AMD. The Switch has an Nvidia GPU and can't use Mantle. It can use Vulkan but DICE still hasn't ported Frostbite 3 to Vulkan. Vulcan still used Mantle technology and supposedly favors AMD.

Either way, a version of Frostbite 3 was ported to the the PS3 for BF4 and the PS3 has an nvidia GPU. It was gimped though (more like Frostbite 2.5) and didn't have PBR lighting (among other things) which was a new feature to the Frostbite 3 engine. It's worth pointing out that the switch version of FIFA has PBR lighting

fuck off messi

So, a legacy version?
wew
Get out of your room once in a while

What does that have to do with it being good or bad?

do they still make fifa for the ps2
I remember they kept at it for a long time

Well, it's a FPS engine optimized for AMD hardware. Seems like an odd choice for a soccer game. Not the AMD part, that makes sense since the consoles are AMD. I'm not even sure what the benefits of it are for FIFA since they can make similar rendering improvements to the former engine. It running slower is probably not a design decision but more of an unintended side effect. Won't be surprising if they switch engines next year (on PS4/XB1)

Likely they used it because Frostbite can push nice graphics, and for a Sports game that is a sim, you do want it to look as realistic as possible.

FIFA 14 was the last FIFA game for the PS2. FIFA 2001 was the first. Kinda impressive. Especially considering the Wii U got FIFA 2013 but not 14

>I'm not even sure what the benefits of it are for FIFA since they can make similar rendering improvements to the former engine.
Marketing.
