Tamamo Cat is a berserker, and the only one of the three available in the starting pull. She's not the best berserker and likely has dying problems, due to being a berserker, but I've heard that most teams are playable without too much trouble.

Tamamo-no-Mae is a standard pull. As a caster she's part of the weapon triangle. She's 5*, so should have one of the better stat listings in the game.

Beach Tamamo is from the summer event, which probably won't happen until next year. She's a lancer, 5* as well.

It's likely that they will be following a similar release schedule as in Japan. The swimsuits weren't released immediately, but rather were part of a class-swapping event, so they're likely to not do that immediately upon putting out the F/GO in NA. Most likely, it'll happen next summer, although that's a guess from everyone.

Pretty sure you can't get any of those at the start, the starting servants come from a limited pool to prevent anybody from getting anything cool to start with.

You get a "rate-up" on whatever servant the rate up is for, but only if you manage to roll their rarity.

Nero is story locked and Mordred is part of the London chapter, which was released ~6 months after the basic game, you can't reroll for them at the US release. The only 5* available at release are Vlad, Arthuria, Waver and Jeanne.

The first roll of the game has a limited pool of servants you can get from. Nero isn't in it, although I don't recall if Mordred is. You can freely pick either of them up in a standard draw, although Nero has an event tied to her before she becomes available.

It looks like there is also a Nero Bride and a Mordred Rider, as limited-time event characters. They won't be available from the start (obviously).

There's no real PvP or co-op.
You get new units by completing events (usually they're shit units though) or by gambling with real money for them. You do get free "money" by grinding, but it's a long and tedious process and your chance of getting a good character is 1% per gamble.

These are all the servants that are available at the start of the game. When you do your first 10-roll you can get one or more of the servants that have a (*), the first roll will give you a random 3* servants
If you want to reroll, the best units are Tamamo Cat, Herc or Emiya. The game is easy anyway and you can clear it all with just 1-3* servants

Here are the full servant list in the JP version, be careful with the spoilers. It's sorted from new to old

Most story missions have guaranteed item drops and events have a store where you can buy items as well. If you just want to upgrade your units than it's fairly grind free. The grind comes in when you want to upgrade skills for a 1-2% boost, getting them to 6 for the first big bonus is pretty simple but 6-10 is some of the grindiest shit, where you need dozens of materials for one level.

Plus the game has some retarded loot limiting system where the more drops you get the lower your chance to get more drops in the near future is to limit the effectiveness of grindfesting. Just use your natural stamina regen for item grinding and save the recovery items for events,

But I heard that Mordred can be drawn in any gacha at any time.

Its f2p and you can use servants from other players that you can also add as friends.
I guess thats the extent of "multiplayer" in this game.

Pretty much every gacha game requires insane levels of grinding.
And sadly in FGO case theres no Auto Battle function which makes it even worse.

F/GO is basically a VN. You play for the story and characters. There's a reason why people that care about gameplay above all else are treated like a joke.

You get a certain amount of action points that you can use to go on missions whether story or not that regenerate over time and by completing certain chapters of the main story you are rewarded with premium currency or "saint quartz". You use that to spend in the gacha to try and roll for a servant, it's not too different from other mobile games in that sense. There is strategy involved in the gameplay itself because of the weapon wheel system with some servants being strong or weak against others and it's up to you to decide which servants to take into battle, which different skills they have at certain opportune times and how they should attack for that turn and no, there is no multiplayer.

There's a lot more to it though gameplay wise, go to the wiki if you're curious.

And all mobage for that matter. If they wanted to make a good game and not a jewfest, they wouldn't be making it a mobile game to begin with.
