unironically chinese cartoons. i realize they're basically already dead but theres a solid 20 years or so of decent stuff. downloaded 173 series to watch so i'll have something to do between decent indie games.

Trying to become a better guitar player myself.

I don't have the attention span for other hobbies

Watch The Joy of Painting with Bobb Ross on Twitch.

Honestly I'm going to just start playing all the retro shit I never played. Should I start with SNES or Genesis?

My new hobby is trying to minimize the sleep I need so I can think of a new hobby with my new free time

Psychology so I can tell if I've really given up all hope or not

I'm picking up the piano and I already do computer programming.
I also like putting guns in my mouth and imagining myself pulling the trigger.

Eh probably go back to movies and TV shows again. Maybe finally hit the gym

get the fuck off my board

t. Pete Hines

I'm trying to get into writing. I don't know why people don't like my fanfictions though.

once I land a job. learn japanese for porn and drawing

I became solely a Nintenbro a few years ago when I realized new vidya are crap while Nintendo still makes fun games. They might be kiddy a bit, but at least they're just pure videogames.

You had a chance, you know...

Vidya isnt dying, its E3 thats dying.

I'm just going to play yet another NG+ round of Persona 5.

I'm gonna try and learn moonrunes.

>tfw the hardest part for me is memorizing alphabets
>There's three of them

A-at least I can structure sentences.

GIMP 2.0 and job searching

First of all video games, movies, TV, and internet usage aren't real hobbies, they're just entertainment since you're consuming and not doing anything productive.

Doing real hobbies like drawing, painting, playing an instrument, woodworking, reading actively (not passively since that's consumption), and video game programming/developing are productive and much more life-fulfilling. Really recommend you pick up one of those so your life won't get depressing.

Well, now that video games are cut I have more time for drawing.

Gym is the goat hoby perfect for autist too

...

>reading actively (not passively

gunpla dude

gardening but only planting edible vegetables and few flowers for the swarm of rufus hummingbirds that infest my trees. also making herb oils and selling them at the local farmers market

I want to learn blender and make shitty videos for the internet.

Might do this, too.

This. I fucking hate anime these days but i am going to watch some of the older ones like evangelion , cowboy bebop and maybe death note

>reading actively (not passively
Boy, that really activated my novels.

Cars are pretty fun. Also wood working and drawing.

this

get into model kits-
This, but become a FAGfag

Just avoid the AAA cancer and you'll be fine

There's a lot of good games coming up from smaller companies

I'd like to get into beer making.
I've tried before, but my batch ended up exploding since where I was storing it was too warm.

You can work my wood any day

>I also like putting guns in my mouth and imagining myself pulling the trigger
Same dude. What kind of gun is it? I used to have a shotgun I'd do that with. Shotguns are the best guns for suicide I hear.

The genesis has a lot of games that offer quick action while the SNES has games that have more of a long investment, so I'd go for whichever one appeals to you more
In that way, you'll be able to burn through the Genesis's library much faster (provided you're good at retro games) due to the short length and fewer number of games compared to the SNES.
Alternatively, SNES games can be a lot easier and more accessible to the modern day gamer so you could go for it on that criteria.

>evangelion , cowboy bebop and maybe death note

Dont let Sup Forums faggots tel you otherwise, all three are good. CB and DN are two of my favorite anime.

Get both. I'm also considering building a pc just to emulate retro games

Reminder that Sup Forums made you hate video games more than you would have if you never started posting here.

>b-b-but Sup Forums is just uncompromisingly honest and that helped me be a better consumer

How do I get into piano I like some classical pieces

I was also thinking of how to safely pirate Adobe suite so I can make meme videos

I'm already a drawfag

I was hoping for more this year

Active reading means to not just read, but to try to analyze and collect your thoughts. A lot of good fiction novels and intellectual books make you read actively. Passive reading means you just read it without much thought, like reading comic books or internet articles. Active reading is what they teach you in high school basically.

It sounds like SNES is the better choice for me then, I like longer games with a save feature. I got a Genesis recently though, and only have the games my friend gave me to go with it (Sonic 2 and SF2)

Alternatively, I could get a Super Gameboy like I've always wanted, but I'd get a Super Gameboy 2 to avoid the clockspeed error. Unfortunately, the thought of ripping out the tabs on my SNES, despite opening up Super Famicom titles to me, just bothers me for some reason.

I think I'm going to build an arcade machine with all of the arcade games I like or want to play on it. It would be good to look back to when video games were good before they went to shit in 2003.

Reading. Having fun isn't hard with a library card.
Also some kind of exercise. Gyms is great but on top of that hiking, biking, swimming and so on.
I'm also getting back into music production. It's creative and fun and a real time sink.

>I got a Genesis recently though, and only have the games my friend gave me to go with it (Sonic 2 and SF2)
Do you have an SNES library yet?

I may just get a second job.

Ive taken up general outdoorsmanship, mushroom hunting (gourmet), gardening, and I am going to try my hand at bonsai.

Table Top War Games like Advance Squad Leader.

If I get bored, I can just easilly modify or make my own war game.

>death note
>old

>what they teach you in high school
Nothing?

A small one, but yeah. Any recommendations based on my games?

>Donkey Kong Country
>Sonkey Kong Country 2
>Super Mario World
>Super Mario RPG
>ActRaiser
>SimCity
>Street Fighter 2
>Kirby Super Star
>F-Zero
>Mystical Ninja
>Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
>Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City

ITT: I'm getting too old for videogames. What do you guys recommend I do now?

I just don't play new games
Most current games I play are fighting games like guilty gear
I almost exclusively play on emulators and some non-tumblr indies
I never liked the new cinematic crap

my dad's been playing flight simulators for the past few years and I'm beginning to think he had the right idea all along
probably just going to build a PC and play driving simulators for the rest of my life

You now realize that Death Note came out eleven (11) years ago in Japan.

Gunpla. Model kit building.

You can hunt my mushroom any day

>mushroom hunting

Maybe I'll marry a single mother to help raise her child while refraining from having sexual intercourse with her while watching her bang her ex

marksmanship

The only reason I'm here is because games have become so shit and I wanted to see if I was just going mad or getting old or if they really are this shit.
They really are this shit.
This is like maybe my 4th time on this board ever.

How do I get good are writing? We had a good thread about writing novels a few nights ago.

Any tips on starting a story? That's the hardest part for me. I never feel like it's the right place to start, because no matter what you can always start earlier.

Deathnote came out in 2001.

>Learn Jap
>Attain a modicum of skill in drawing
>Maybe write a little better

I'm working on the first one but the other two elude me to no end. Why must I feel so horrible and depressed when I stare at a blank page/canvas?

Same, but i'm more into drawing, animation and composing music.

All those are fantastic except for death note which is still good but overrated as fuck

Keep up the good taste user

I can always go back to obsessively making voodoo dolls out of wire and paper clips.

Death Note's OST is GOAT tbqh. Great shit to just put on for background music.

>Deathnote came out in 2001.

What? No it did not. It came out in 2006 (at least the anime). Lasted from 2006 to 2007.

t. Oldfag that was downloading the new episodes as soon as they got fandubbed

I think I'm finally gonna start watching anime and the Netflix my mother lets me mooch off of her. I can use it as a way to wean myself off of this shitty board, as well.

Any recommendations? I need something that'll get the hooks in me fast.

I'm going to learn how to draw porn.
futa porn

>tfw drawfag
>have the power to draw whatever I want to entertain me

And it doesn't cost anything compared to games.

do you want to become a mangaka and move to japan

Everything except that last one is awesome. You should play all of them.

Well that is where the money is

I think there's lots of piano tutorials on Youtube if you can't get Piano classes.

There are some ways to get Adobe suite for free without pirating. If you're enrolled in a 4-year college you usually get the Adobe suite for free. I don't know much beyond that in video editing side, but I know for 3D modeling and animation software there are completely free student versions as long as you don't make money off the assets you make. Just do a lot of research cause nowadays pirating is risky with all the viruses and whatnot.

I'm going to take up drinking until I pass out. I don't want to be conscious for the next 50 years while I wait for the sweet release of death.

Writing and art. Also photography and hiking. I want to explore cool forests and outdoors and take pictures. Maybe buy a nice camera and try and do some comedy skits as if I feel up to it as well.

It was a dark and stormy night
>I never feel like it's the right place to start, because no matter what you can always start earlier.
It was a dark and stormy day

making games

>tfw so lazy and afraid of failure that you end up not even trying

No, not in the slightest. I want to learn Jap so I can play all those nice untranslated games, and draw/write because making fetish smut is fun.

Post ur work fgt

I got Jordan as a joke because a local game shop was selling it for like $3. Decently entertaining, if not for pure absurdity. All those games, however, are ones I have played. Some I haven't played all the way through granted, but I was looking to expand my library.

Got a nice motorcycle, I also have a wiener doggo to take care of and play with too.

I'm in uni and they just give you a shitty discount for Adobe, though I am in engineering.

I do get all that engineering software for free yes.

I'm a moe-loving piece of shit, so I never run out of anime. New Game 2 next month, baby.

I shouldn't have gotten into precure though. KiraKira is not good, but I can't bring myself to drop it.

theres only one good anime unless youre an actual weeb loser. That anime is one punch man. Samurai Champloo is pretty good too. thats it.

>Any recommendations? I need something that'll get the hooks in me fast.

Do you like capeshit? I liked Daredevil (both seasons) as well as Jessica Jones. Still havent watched Luke Cage or Iron Fist but I heard they were good too.

If you dont want capeshit, watch Black Mirror. Really good show. It's about the effects of living in a technologically advanced world. Each episode is independent of one another. Different stories in each one. Really good.

They teach you. You just choose to not pay attention.

Reading. But don't go to /lit/ and be a fag about it please.

99999 FOR KUMIKO

>one punch man
I bet you never read the webcomic.

If you like RPGs there are plenty of RPGs to play, like earthbound and pretty much anything by Square

...

I love RPG's, but the vast majority on SNES seem to be absurdly expensive. I'll look into finding some that aren't $50+ though.

I guess I'm going to try some anal masturbation
