Forgot about the crafting and reward bonuses. All in all, there's nothing you need to make the game enjoyable.
The crafting is mostly for making and upgrading high level gear that you can't get otherwise. Crafting those items may normally take a few days of waiting for the really top end stuff to be completed IIRC.
I don't know if upgrading is still instant for those, but it is for lower level stuff.

It's a bit sketchy. If you disable online before facing Seneschal, you'll wind up fighting your previous avatar. If you're online, however, you'll face a random character from someone else, implying you're previous character broke the cycle. But as said, there are nearly infinite worlds, so its like breaking one link on a ten mile long chain.

you break it because after you die for real no more dragons can be made from arisens who fail the test and that world no longer runs on the 'will battery' that the seneschal serves as and that world is left to its own devices, be it good or bad. the arisen also completes the spirit passing thing and passes his/her humanity to their main pawn like the old lady does with selene. but again, infinite worlds and all that jazz withe everfall being an access point so presumable you could asspull any number if things to threaten gransys again if the sequel called for it.

Yes, you get way more storage tabs if you sub to the game. I'm currently full in both free boxes. It's shitty. Also ingame crafting takes real world hours and stops you from using your own pawn unless you just hire crafting ones.

Except the ai is shit, thats kind of a deal breaker cause everyone is socially autistic on JP games and doesn't ever want to party with you unless its a bounty monster event which rarely happens ever.

At least you can give them more detailed commands in DDON.

That they never fucking do, tell your pawn to heal and it'll put the heal aura on itself and start jumping at the monster without revealing the weakpoints. Tell it to attack and it just runs in circles interupting its own attacks.

My element archer does what I tell it to apart from the AI standing too close to the enemy while it's charging a skill and so keeps having to dodge and interrupt itself.

Never get any archer type pawn their AI is the worst on DDO, they never fire an arrow. Priests are the worst. All the AI is bad, you really can't just cherry pick one.

Compilation mod. Will not break the game but make it far more convenient to run around and thus slightly easier. Pick the C version if you feel like using one of the hybrid classes but don't want to go through 70 levels as pure Sorc or Ranger for decent stats:

It's a video game, if I wanted tight combat I would play Dark Souls.

I started playing my most recent character by going to Bitterblack right away at level 1, on hardcore difficulty.
It wasn't even what I'd call hard. And you level up fast.

The game isn't hard but modding it to be even more piss easy is not the way to argue that it's easy.

Some of these changes are great, some are fucking wack. Autonomy is back to pre-DA levels of broken damage-wise, Regeneration is powerful enough that you won't need to heal in-between battles at all, Articulacy removes the situational awareness aspect of casting magic when it's that fast, Suasion is stupidly broken if it still stacks with all three pawns.
The hybrid stat gains are self-admittedly gamebreaking, no carry weight (double carry weight is borderline okay) makes it so there's no point to inventory management at all.
Of the spell mods, only Necromancy and Frigor seem remotely balanced.

I played over 500 hours vanilla on the 360, the user I replied to has over 200 on the ps3.

After so many hours there is nothing wrong with making magic and combat more flashy, if a little overpowered.
And like I said, you can simply not equip it.

I agree that some decisions in the mod are a bit funky. You could always go the modular route and only take the balanced mods.

I am with you on this one but we don't even know what it is. The probability that it isn't dd2 is to high so people are projecting their upcoming dissapointment already.

I don't know why people bitch about warrior so much - I had the easiest time there as a warrior. Slot in your defensive augments and you are a brick wall. Arc of moght lets you put up a good fight against elder ogres and crap really early on. Then you get that gear that recovers health over time... there are all of two enemy types and kind of suck to fight but they suck for everyone.
