>The Outsider did nothing wrong
The Outsider did nothing wrong
Technically correct. All he did was grant powers to people. It's on their heads what they chose to do with them.
how's the free version of dishonored 2?
I've been seeing mixed responses in the comments
>outsider made me realize how pretty many british guy are
Why is he so pretty? Why his black endless eyes are so enchanting?
He gave Daud and Delilah powers.
Whaleposting should be bannable.
>British
Eh?
Which they chose to use in a certain way.
Yep, I found several british guys with faces that are very similar to his in terms of bone structure. That's something so elegant and handsome about him.
>free version
What?
The dude he is modeled after in 2 is American. In fact, he is the Penguin in appearance and actor.
I really like the outsider. Just giving powers to interesting people and enjoying the show. Rat boy is his greatest creation
>in 2
He was much sexier on the first game, specially on the concept art, I should say.
>Rat boy
I never read Tales of Dunwall. Is it any good?
Normally supplement material for vidya is...lackluster. I'm kinda pissed that to understand what is going on for this next DLC you need to read the comics
Whatever floats your boat.
I heard about a lot of performance issues. Was the engine based on Id Tech 5 or 6?
>Lore implies that the Outsider a vague eldritch figure who may or may not be some sort of whale who exists solely to fuck with people and create interesting scenarios that explore the complexities of human morality
>Dishonored 1 has him be a generic bored dude
>Dishonored 2 has him be a generic edgy dude who was apparently once just a normal guy I guess
.
Wasted potential
>Daud and Billy going after him
Consider my dick fuckin' erect
>hes not a whale
>hes actually a 13 year old edge lord
im gonna enjoy killing this fuck
Indeed, although his ingame model wasn't bad either iirc.
I have a mid-range PC and didn't have performance issues except the quest with the time piece, probably because it is rendering 2 locations at the same time.
But I don't know if there is a difference in the "free version". Did they release a mission or 2 for free?
I thought he was a lot more mellow in 2. More reaction to Delilah meddling than actually trying to solve his boredom
How could they possibly do it?
>Sorry bro, you chose the wrong skin colour for 2017
>black eyes
>black hair
He is as white as the average Brazilian.
Aren't Leviathans different from the whales used for whale oil?
I dunno but I'm going to find it out day one
>skin is white
>"not white reeeeee"
White isn't the same as aryan you dumbfuck
It's the first 4 mission iirc, which is a hell of a lot, considering there's like 9 in the game.
Also no performance issues my end at all since the first patch, and there's been a couple more since.
>Demo is nearly half the game
That's pretty wacky. Unfortunately makes me suspect Dishonored 2 sold really, really, really badly.
I guess they are desperate for sales, which is sad because I've played this shit out of two, 2 playthroughs and 100% achievements. One of like 2 games I enjoyed that came out last year.
>patiently waiting on cemu for BotW
Arkane is getting fucked in the ass by Bethesda. Pic related.
>too autist for sarcasm
I thought the Brazilian thing was an obvious hint
I only got to Karnaca and so far the game is already better than the first game. I couldn't believe that I already spent 3 and half hours on it.
But the plot is so shit from the beginning and the performance is bonkers.
Just to be clear, I meant the very recently released, "free" version of the game. Anyone tried that?
Aye, it did and it's such a shame. The game did nothing but evolve on what the original did and that game was honestly a perfect game.
The demo's free on all consoles; I'd seriously urge people just to try it out.
I know I sound like a shill, but I friggen love it so much.
>All he did was give nuclear bombs to people. It's on their heads what they bomb with it
Dumb
It isn't, the average brazilian is blacker than most "african americans" in the USA.
I really dunno what you're talking about, sorry. Links if you have any, explaining
He means the CPY Cracked version, I imagine. I heard it works fine.
Oh lol, I'm an idiot
Daud did nothing wrong
Changing his voice actor was the biggest mistake Bethesda made.
he kind of looks like white doakes from dexter
You mean the crack? Stop being vague.
I have no idea. Depends on if it has the patches with the performance fixes and extra features like NG+ and stuff. If it is identical to the most current version, then I'd think performance will be fine.
Me too. My spouse and I have done two playthroughs each of it. 200ish hours. The replayability is nice, even though the story is kinda shit.
>inb4 shill
Wasn't the previous dude completely black listed, like the actor who played Sarif in Deus Ex HR?
>Billie and Daud kill the Outsider
>shit starts going to hell, the Void leaking into the physical world
>realize that there must be a tether to hold the void together, one of them must become a new Outsider
>low chaos Billie stabs herself with the ceremonial dagger, becoming the new void avatar
>high chaos Billie fights Daud and kills him with the knife, making him the Outsider
if this doesn't happen I'll cut my own cock off and eat it
It works fine, as in, runs exactly the same as the release version
Tested with fitgay version
His voice fits the character better imo. If the first one has the same VA as the second one, literally nobody will complain.
I don't know why they think killing him will solve things or make existence better. It's retarded.
He didn't give anyone a nuclear bomb, though. At worst he gave people some limited magical powers, and it was only given to people that earned his favor or interest.
He's an amoral demi-god. He can do what he wants. And, furthermore, he actually has quite a number of reasons to want to actively destroy humanity, as it is heavily implied he is the god of whales and will destroy the world once they're all extinct. But he never mentions that, does he? Even the Plague, which he is associated with, wasn't his doing. It was just a bunch of giant nigger rats sneaking on ships.
Why do you hate yourself? You know its not going to happen.
Please stop with this tired meme. His character design has barely changed at all since the first game.
>giant nigger rats sneaking on ships.
I thought the Reagent from the first game had them sent over from Pandyssia to infect the poor? And things got out of control and they killed the native rats, a la African killer bees.
I dont recall how the plague is associated with the outsider. I thought it was just some rats from a far off continent that got themselves into whaling ships that went to Dunwall.
Outsider is cute
CUTE
Wrong.
He stole my heart.
I thought it was this too.
yeah, I mean if anything Emily should want to gut the bastard since he gave Daud the power to kill her mother and Delilah the power to overthrow her. Like what did the Outsider ever do to Daud and Billie? I mean it's suggested that Daud and the Outsider kinda hate each, based on their interaction in the Daud DLC and mentions of Daud "crouching at glowing shrines and muttering hushed curses". But why should Billie give a fuck?
>trannysmasher
>Why should Billie give a fuck?
I guess she is mad she was tricked by that chick in a lesbomancy relationship with Delilah.
The Outsider did save Emily too, but I guess she wouldn't be in danger if Delilah wasn't marked in the first place?
hello son
Billie just loves Daud (maybe not in a relationship way, but definitely at least in a fatherly/familial way.
She wanted to track him down and find him, as mentioned in Dis2 so I can imagine she just wants to be around him, after so long apart.
I can imagine if she doesn't like the idea, she'll voice it. But I also feel like she feels lost without him, considering how he looked after the gang. What else does she have to live for? May as well help him however she can.
I agree though, overall, I can't imagine it'll go well. The Outsider probably knew what would happen as he gave the powers out and most likely just did it to "play" with people. That being said, Delilah obviously offended him and could've ended up harming him or his power some way, so his second approach to Corvo (and Emily) could've had some actual reason behind it.
That's kinda why I love Dishonored. It's full of people willing to fuck over the entire world just for payback.
Revenge Solves Everything™
...
I guess if the world is already shit anyway, what do you have to lose?
I predict Daud will die in this DLC
In your first playthrough of 2 who did you first choose?
Same
Emily because the game's dialogue and plot is much more fitting to her than Corvo. The heart's dialogue can get bizarre with Corvo.
Outsider bantz with Corvo is really entertaining though.
cpy? wasn't it by steampunks?
desu with that haircut and chin he looks like a composite of Ian Curtis and Steven Morris from Joy Division
Can I choose to be between those two?
Currently playing through Disohonored 2 at the moment, it doesn't seem as strong plot-wise as the first - not that the stories are complex or anything, but Dishonored 1's plot was pretty nice and tight, Dishonored 2 had a pretty rough start, there seemed to be hardly any lead up to another 'corvo is framed for shit go steal back the throne' story. Karnaca doesn't have enough of a unqique feel either, it's just a sunnier Dunwall. Gameplay's great, though, more or less the same as before, but it's just as good. Haven't played Emily yet because time stop is OP.
Shame we'll never get to investigate conspiracies in a dark and wintry Tyvia. I remember reading the tentative subtitle 'Darkness of Tyvia' at some point in the past.
The lore specifically states that there's not always an Outsider. He's not needed to keep anything "stable". There's been many long spans of time with no Outsider whatsoever.
Soko's bants with Emily about drinking from silver cups was sassy as hell desu shocked me
yeah the spymaster wanted to solve the poverty issue by killing all the poor with highly infectious rats which surprisingly didn't work whatsoever
Jump right in
There have been several Outsiders ?
Yeah, Billie gets really snarky with her about privilege of birth too. As does Delilah.
You're right, Sokolov's dialogue was unique with Emily, he grew to be a grandfather figure towards her.
Yeah, he says this when going over his origins in the second game. Pic related.
Oh dear, I guess this pic is also semi-related.
According to Harvey Smith (game director)'s Twitter the Void has had a huge variety of nonspecific entities representing it. So his example was like, for a million years an enormous seven-legged bull would represent it, then for millennia it would have no representative, then for a ten thousand years a pool of black water would be the representative. So the form of the representative, how long they last, where they come from and what exactly they do are completely random.
it was. this was the entire plot of the game, that the spymaster did this on his own initiative and then the empress found out and so had to go. it's mentioned exactly once in the audiolog you use to do the pacifist option for his mission.
Havent played the second but the first dishonored was badass(especially with the dlc)
>ygal is still gone
>have to rely on tumblr and twitter to get my stuff
What's the name of this? Corvosider? Outvo?
fucking dumb plot
outsider will wipe their shit
and everyone likes outsider
>empress found out
I though she was pretty clueless on it.
Try out the free missions to see if you like it.
posting some related lore from Smith's twitter
Daud is going to end up becoming the new Outsider, isn't he?
It really does feel like the game was built around Emily, but I'm glad Corvo's playthrough is still enjoyable that's effort they didn't have to go through at all but did.
...
SHE'S LOST CONTROL AGAIN
>bound outsider
How hard it would be to do some sfm porn of him?
...
how the fuck do you kill the outsider? he's literally the closest thing to god in that game.
Speaking as someone learning, SFM is a cancerous piece of software. However, once you get past how horrendous it is, it's not all that difficult if familiar with modelling/animation. Extracting models can be a nightmare too depending on game.
most important lore bit for the DLC, there's precedence for deicide in the Dishonored universe
It's true though.
Just because someone gives you a gun doesn't mean you have to use it for mass murder.
I'm almost sure corvo got his model extracted at some point.
Yeah, I was really surprised when they added play file slots, NG+, and other things. I guess everyone is trying to catch up to CDPR customer appreciation. Or at least one studio is, fighting Bethesda every step of the way.
Interesting, thanks.
Or Billie.
>Outvo
Kek. The only pairing I know of as a Tumblr meme is Emsider.
Having a nude model (or various others depending on what you're doing) ready makes the process much easier of course.
please no
>getting my weird husbando with a roastie
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
how would anyone in the dishonored world know?
>"the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist"
>Roastie
I think she only has fucked Wyman.
Why did they retcon Wyman being male? The book has it as "he," and if you play Emily at one point she says
>Callista would say I should settle and marry Wyman, that would be the proper thing to do as Empress.
>black listed like the actor who played Sarif in Deus Ex HR
That was the stupidest thing I've ever seen.
>guy makes a youtube video as a joke in his spare time
>everyone takes it seriously and believes he's gone completely insane
Don't say that, don't mention it, don't even think about it.
They wouldn't. But we, the reader, know because the author told us.
I just want muh Daud back.
>Wasn't the previous dude completely black listed
Apparently he was a dick and hard to work with.
His reddit username being "TrannyDestroyer" just made things 10x worse, his AMA was a fucking shitshow
>tumblr and twitter
lmao
No more
>AAAAAADAM, son.
DX:MD was not the same without him.
Me too, user. Think they will let us choose to play both he and Billie?
>TrannyDestroyer
Kek. Did he ever say why he chose that name?
