She didn't.
But she didn't
Did you even finish the game OP?
boss.....
she never says why. Snake spends all of Peacewalker looking for the answer as well and never finds it.
She didn't. But the US Government wanted her dead because of the nuke Volgan fired.
Quit being stupid. Skip to 11:23
Because she it was her mission to get The Philopshers legacy, after the Russians used American nukes her mission was changed. She was told to defect to the Russians so America could cover it's tracks, then she would need to coex Naked Snake into finding the courage to kill her, destroy all of America's involvment in the nuclear incident take the philosphers legacy, and become the new Boss, Big Boss, thus creating the greatest soldier in history.
she literally got cucked by the feds and decided to take it
never trust the feds, they are run by globalist bankers, the US has been hijacked
It was said in game. Peace Walker had him asking because they lost the guy that used to co-write the series so Kojima all alone to do it just started making weird shit up, probably implying something stupid like "B-but the tape broke before Eva explained it!"
>nuke Volgan fired
Was inside job to get rid of the boss.
Except Ocelot tried stopping him. Refer to . Nobody expected that shit to happen.
This. Volgin is actually the only evil character int he entire series.
Yeah, she did. Her knowing that this was the only way to save her country/the world doesn't change the fact that she defected and did try to kill snake.
the times the times the times the times the
Because she just wanted to sing ;_;.
Fuck Peace Walker
So Ocelot, Eva, and The Boss were in on it the whole time?
...
Yes, with Ocelot working for the US and Eva working for the Chinese. The nuke thing really was a surprise by everyone, though. Even with the Boss delivering it to him, I don't think she really expected him to use it five minutes later. Volgin really is just a huge asshole, in contrast with the other villains in the series which at least had some reasons for the good of mankind.
What about a certain ghost without a past that was born in a small village? Which was, in fact, later invaded by soldiers... foreign soldiers?
No, just Ocelot and the Boss.
Ocelot was "Adam" and "Eve" was another American informant killed and replaced by Eva, who was a spy for the Chinese.
So was Eva actually an American defector, or was the original Eve the NSA defector and the Eva we meet in MGS3 is just a Russian who started working with the chinese?
Because it was the only way to cleanly resolve the fact that Volgin fucking nuked Russia with nukes that she gave him.
Certain US elements were already afraid of her and it was the perfect excuse, but if it wasn't necessary she wouldn't have done it.
She didn't defect. She had a mission to infiltrate Vulgan's operation and recover the Philosopher's legacy but Vulgan went and set off a nuke sending the whole operation tits up and alerting the USSR to her presence.
She was then branded a defector by the US government so that the US could deny responsibility of her being there, being involved in a nuclear detonation on Russian soil, and in doing so were forced to send Snake back in in order to kill her so that the US's cover story for The Boss being there was believable.
The Boss was a patriot till the end who died for her country.
No use in telling you, you will forget about it in the next game and act like you never heard what I said.
So The Boss defected and brought the Davy Crockett as a gift, fully expecting it to never be used. But it was, and so Snake was sent to kill her in order to resolve the new crisis. The Boss' original mission to steal the Philosopher's Legacy was the same, but was she ordered to be killed by Snake eventually? Or was she never told and sort of pieced together what was going to happen as the game progresses?
Eva was just a Russian implanted by the Chinese.
Boss didn't defect. She was sent in to recover the Philosopher's legacy from Vulgan. The nuke was a gift to gain his trust that back fired horrendously requiring the US to send in another agent to kill her. So that they could not be held responsible for her actions.
The Boss was faking defection with the eventual expectation that they'd work shit out and she'd go home cleared as a double agent. Volgin's use of the Davy Crocket made it such that her defection had to be "real" to the Russians to avoid another war.
The Boss, a good soldier until the end, accepted her role in things and the fact that she could not survive Operation Snake Eater if it meant avoiding WW3 and the like. That included that she would be killed by Snake.
I get almost all of MGS3, but I still don't understand why the US sent two agents in that conflict with each other. The ultimate goal of the US at the start of the game is to obtain the Philosopher's Legacy, that is known. But even before the nuking, Snake's job is to rescue Sokolov. But then the US orders The Boss to stop Sokolov's rescue. What was the point? So The Boss needed more trust from Volgin, giving him Sokolov is a good way. So was Snake's job literally just to move Sokolov from that holding cell to the bridge? Ocelot was also sent to do that, him and his dudes couldn't have taken care of those guys without Snake?
I don't really understand how she became a supernaturally good soldier just by soldiering really hard. It doesn't work like that.
Especially not in a world where supernatural beings actually literally exist, people with superpowers and such. She doesn't have a power that lets her not get shot by someone with half decent aim.
Also they keep using the word "soldier" in the metal gear universe to describe The Boss and others, "the perfect soldier" and all that, but they're not really "soldiers", they're more like commandos or hollywood spies. Not that commandos or special forces aren't soldiers but, y'know.
The Metal Gear series is really unrealistic.
Snake was a patsy sent to give legitimacy to The Boss' defection. He was never intended to succeed. The Boss would walk away from the whole ordeal giving the Russians a nuke, and helping them stop the defection of a Soviet scientist and revealing two US informants to Vulgan. She would then be firmly implanted within Vulgan's camp with his full trust and able to complete her objective for efficiently.
And huge portion of the game is about the loyalty to a nation who has no love or care for it's operatives and will throw them away in order to overt further catastrophe.
>The Metal Gear series is really unrealistic.
What tipped you of to that? The guy shooting bees from his mouth?
These hoes ain't loyal
MGS3 is easy mode plot
To this day I still can't understand MGS2
She pretended to defect so she could steal the Legacy. After Volgin fired the Davy Crockett, the US Government decided to pin blame on her (since the Crockett's were her gift), painting her "defection" as real to Khruschev. From there, they needed The Boss' head on a platter to prove to the USSR that the Crockett firing wasn't a US Op and that the "defection" was real, so they sent in Naked Snake to eliminate The Boss + The Cobras. The Boss herself accepted the death sentence and stole the Legacy for the US anyway, though EVA later stole it for the Chinese (but Ocelot had actually stolen it for the US already).
Lesson? Don't trust LBJ.
Pretty sure she was looking for the Philopshers legacy, which she could prevent from getting in Volgin's hands.
What exactly is difficult to understand about MGS 2
An AI wants to test its own ability manipulate people and information.
To do this, it puts a bunch of retards on a plant, tests them all different stories, and see how well they can manipulate everyone into doing what they want with no one figuring it out.
The AI succeeds at getting everything it wants, and proceeds laughs at all the retarded humans doing retarded things.
Well I mean imagine a squad of Big Bosses. Or a squad of The Bosses. Imagine an entire platoon of them, or a company, or a battalion.
Alone they can accomplish amazing things, so image how much they could do in large numbers.
Did she mean to kill snake when she threw him off the bridge? Seemed like a complete stroke of luck he survied that.
It then proceeds to disappear because Kojima wanted to bring back his meme villain from 1
She might have. The plan was for The Boss to prove her worth to Volgin and then steal the legacy later, and what better what to prove yourself than killing your own US disciple? The boss becomes expendable later on, so they probably meant for Naked Snake to be expendable in the beginning for the mission to go as planned. But Naked Snake survived and Volgin fired a nuke, so they sent him back.
My nigga LBJ was like, "Ayo Defect you hoe." She's a woman so she did what the MAN fucking told her to do. To make the defection real, she gifted Volgin the Davy Crockett, but Volgin is some crazy nigga and actually fired the shit, WHAT A MADMAN! Since Kruschev would've started WWIII for that shit, the US Government told her that she really did defect.
LBJ hit Snake with the "You up?" text, and told him he had to stop the boss. It had to be Snake because they wanted to create a new boss/ legend, through him, and he was already trained by Bitch Boss. Boss either communicated or already knew that the US was going to do this shit, so she stole the legacy and made sure the mission was a success. She died by Snake's hand, so Russia would chill out. Also, the Legacy she stole, was already stolen by Ocelot who was on his own mission, to assist Snake.
Naked Snake then becomes retarded and glorifies OG Boss, because Kojima wanted more money and didn't want to make Solid Snake games, even though he was cooler.
Boss told EVA her mission, but it was really just so that she could get Jack laid.
Boss probably gave Ocelot the real legacy.
This
wait a fucking sec.
was big boss wearing a GIRL'S bandana the whole time?
Didn't the worm cluster E.E made corrupt it or some shit? I'm sure that's why Its not in MGS4
>Peacewalker
Here's your problem.
His master plan might have brought world peace if
he hadn't been squished like a bug unexpectedly only halfway into the game.
>big boss wears a GIRLS bandanna for the rest of his life
>probably jerked off with it in the hospital
what a fucking loser!
I don't believe that she meant for him to die there at all. Plus Naked Snake holds back on her the entire game, until killing her is the ONLY option. People think that the Boss was SO much better than Naked Snake, and forget that they created CQC together. The only time The Boss actively tried to kill Naked Snake was at the end of the game. You have to fight her all out, as she is fighting you all out. She didn't lay down an die. The Boss did accept her death though.
That's because Kojima's retarded and felt we needed to be reminded of the story, even though we can infer everything about The Boss' motive and Big Boss' rise to power in MGS3.
She was just doing wat Caramel told her to do. but shit hit the fan when Volgin used the nuke.
On the note of MGS, is MGSV worth buying? I've seen people say that is has good gameplay but shit story.
I only became interested after this whole Death Stranding ruse
>this fucking scene
The OST still makes me cry bitch tears. Same as the resistance theme from MGS4.
