Unfortunately for you the game also shows good people from every other nation, ala mhigo has who, Lyse and Raubhan, 2 people among the hordes of shitty mhigans

Even just from base game: The Mhigo folks camp outside a city, demanding that city help them more.

Of the two major NPCs they had prior to Stormblood we have a major dichotomy.

Rahbaun is the best FC leader, worked his way up from ostracized outsider to right hand man of the Sultana. Showing that there really isn't that damn much standing in the way of the Mhiggers camping outside the city, they just want gibs.

The other, joined an organization dedicated to protecting Eorzea, turned it into his own private army to overthrow the Sultana in exchange for the promise of help in liberating Ala'Mihgo. (Which would bring the attention of the Empire back to Eorzea.)
In doing this, he attempts to kill his childhood friend. As well as dozens of people who were proximal to in the way of his schemes.

When this fails, he gathers a bunch of mooks to stage an Alliance attack upon the Gridania/Ala'Mihgo border wall. His plan being to get them all killed, then commit sudoku to summon a primal to attack the Empire. (Presumably, perhaps he just wanted destruction.)

Hell, at this point, I'm half convinced the Empire is probably right.

Thirteen people were responsible for what happened to Ratatoskr, and seven of them died immediately after. The other Ishgardians did nothing wrong and didn't even understand why they were being attacked.

I've never had a problem with the Mhiggers until 3.4

The real tragedy of the situation was that if the dragons hadn't been racist fucks and actually tried to get justice for murder, the war could've been avoided. They had 200 years of common history before Thordan backstabbed them, I can't imagine many humans taking his side were his actions exposed.

Yeah the HW story was really fucking weak because it actually wasn't planned from the start and it really show.

Probably. Most of the MSQ is "Go here, look a thing, repeat 2-3x," the only hard instance will probably be Final Steps, and even that's not bad if your healers are competent. Got caught there for a few attempts because this fucking terrible healer just wanted to be carried...

If you buy stormblood you also get heavensward, and I would say use your conjurer character since you get an xp boost if you are levelling any job lower level than your highest level job.
