Why didn't they show off the new 3DS game at all? I'm curious and disappointed
I'd rather have gotten a Pokemon trailer. Or anything new. Today was nothing but repeats and a DLC.
Some of you are alright don't go to Nintendo HQ tomorrow
A bit disappointed, but we still got a new Kirby game announced for next year. I really did not expect that to happen.
Anyways I'm trying to guess the release date for Blowout Blast. I'm guessing June 10-2.
*June 10-12
A bit disappointed that we didn't see any of the fighting game, and I was hoping Blowout Blast would have came out today as a surprise. I can't be too disappointed overall because of Kirby Switch, which I wasn't expecting since we've been getting so much Kirby recently.
Eh, fine. Even if they didn't play it on the stream, we still get 2 more games this year and a new one next year. Being a Kirby fan feels pretty damn good right now and being left out of a stream doesn't really dampen it much.
wen treehouse is dark alway rember happy direct
The lack of a trailer now could give them more fuel for a Kirby Direct at some point down the line; they have three games to discuss, that's enough to warrant one.
It's a little disappointing but it's not a big deal, they announced a new platformer one with Helpers & mixing abilities for Switch after all. Also the fighting game is coming soon so they'll reveal it eventually, with how many games we're getting we'll probably get our own little Kirby Direct actually.
Because they want to try and forget everything Satoru Iwata created, including him.
It's still Kirby's year so an end of the year Kirby direct is fine with me
user do you mean july
because it's already june 15
...
You are correct. Fuck my brain.
careful what you wish for

Oh shit
>no date for blowout blast
>no reveal for the other Kirby 3ds game
>let's only show a Kirby game that's coming out next year and not the ones this year
>let's shill zelda dlc and splatoon 2 over and over again.
the fuck are they thinking?
This. Not even upset, just confused.
Then this will be perfect for you.

My guess is that they're going to have a small Kirby-only direct later on for both the fighter and Blowout Blast, and maybe more info on the Switch game.
I bet that the Switch game was only revealed now because Nintendo needed to show a strong lineup for the console (same for Pokemon and Metroid Prime 4).
Honestly, the only part of the Treehouse that has me tilted is how they went over the DLC for BotW twice.
I know Zelda has always been Big 3 tier, but come on.
how would you combine bomb and wheelie
Max Brass looks really good though. His wrestling ring, seems to be full of himself, can make himself big, and a big guy who has moves that are similar to Spring Man. Reminds me a bit of our perfect overlord.
A motor bike that blows itself when it comes in contact with something.
mini tank that drops/throws bombs? I dunno.
A remote control car that explodes on contact. But something like that could only be used for specific puzzles.
That's a bit odd. isn't there a Kirby game coming out in about 6 moths? Why hasn't it been announced at all?
We got the Switch reveal and the Metroid games so it isn't a loss at all, but it's just a bit odd not to show off their other 3DS game.
Nintendo wanted to sell amiibo more then show games I guess.
Blowout Blast that is coming out this Summer, although we have have no specific date on when.
Looks like Kirby on Switch was a Wii U game, ported over. Because fuck Wii U owners.
Max is gonna get into fucking Smash 5 isn't he
Can you honestly blame them? the Wii U died out pretty quickly.
That happens when you drop support for something. It's just such a dick move, yet most Nintendo fans that supported the Wii U probably got the Switch on launch day so whatever.
Not gonna lie, I want Spring Man, Ribbon Girl and Max Brass in.
Yeah the marketing for the Wii U was a complete joke and the constant lack of new games put people off buying one.
I play the long game and tend to wait very late into a console life to buy it (since Kirby games also do come out late too). But the Switch having a mainline Kirby game this early is making me consider getting one right now.
Not only that, but many people still assumed that the Wii U was an add-on to the Wii which confused consumers even more. They should have handled it more expertly.
Its a year into development at most and HAL (Kumazaki included) helped with the switch's development, it was meant for the Switch
The name is what really killed it and the loading times on games were notoriously bad.
The bomb you transform into in mario kart 64 when you lose in baloon battle
Nintendo you faggots owe us a Kirby Direct within the next month, otherwise I will have to use force
Don't let us down
ADO PUT THE GUN DOWN
put your hands up.
K I R B Y D I R E C T
All but confirmed, it'll be like the FE Direct.
>tfw wasn't even remotely hyped at that trailer, even with the animal friends and combo abilities
I don't know what's fucking wrong with me guys. I never thought I'd say this, but I think I'm getting bored of Kirby.
Keep forgetting that they helped out with the Switch as well. Makes me wonder what else they are making/developing behind doors.
I hope they've learned their mistakes. The Wii U might have been a fumble, but there are good qualities of it too. Playing games on my bed was pretty cozy.
That's proberbly why we got a Kirby game so close to launch.
or it was an unfinished wii u game they ported.
It looks pretty great, but it didn't have the same bang of the Robobot trailer (which was nuts, I mean Kirby in a mecha? Damn). Try it when it comes out and decide then.
Take a break from Kirby and play some other games. I think Anthem looks pretty neat from my opinion, and I'm still interested in the Spider Man game since it looks similar to the Arkham series. I like Arkham Origins for their boss battles.
The switch has pretty good games so far and the loading times are much better then the wii u look at Mario kart 8 deluxe for comparison.
We'll never have based Sirirca come into a real Kirby game.
Real shame she's a cute too.
This, unless the returning mechanics get you super hard its not really that crazy of a trailer, pretty standard
Meanwhile Robobot came out of nowhere like
>POP STAR GETS RAPED AND KIRBY GETS ON A MECH MOTHERFUCKER
I feel like it might be more exciting when we get some story and boss showing, as well as just more on the larger scope of the game and the themes behind it
Rtdl physics again. Its turning into nsmb 2.0
>boss fights are not replicated too much
>new level design and aesthetic
>end boss are always different from each other
>music are new tracks and are very different from one another
>always have a new mechanic ergo super abilities, hypernova, robobot
I don't think so Jim
all I hoped for at E3 was news on the 3DS game so I'm pretty dissapointed
I just hope we get a better boss variety then robobot gave us.
I mean 3 meta knights and galatica knight was over kill.
That should hopefully be the case, but it felt kinda silly doing a vanilla Whispy again but then I realized we haven't seen that since RtDL, unless you count Clash Deluxe re-purposing Flowery as Whispy
He already looks somewhat unique so hopefully it stacks up to Flowery and Clanky, its just weird reverting back to GCN and RtDL style Whispy after the spectacle the last two games brought with their first bosses
>remembering the hype period around it
>remembering the leak of the jp copy that had full english
>insane stuff like the robobot devouring the halberd
Good times. Still have my Kirby cards from preordering it.
It certainly is an improvement. Plus the Switch screen look way pleasing than the broad shoulder Wii U tablet.
Susie + Meta Knight always look cute together
The concept was made for hype, I remember all the speculation about what kind of crazy shit we might see
It's actually doing things to meaningfully shake up the gameplay for once so I'm way more excited than I was for the last two titles
At the very least whispy seems like he has a different moveset the helpers might actually be required to fight him.
They really over did it with the Meta Knight syle fight in PR. Hopefully that won't be the case this time.
the wii u tablet was just too damn bulky and awkward to hold.
Oh yeah, I don't think anyone was prepared for Star Dream under the Haltmann robot's shell. Quite the smashing ending.
I'm curious and slightly worried about how helpers and the AI will play into the bosses and puzzles, but it should be fun non the less
Will Arena let us do 4 helpers or limit it to two? Will they be worth bringing in this time around? But it should open up a shit ton of options for Arena runs, specially multiplayer ones, not just what abilities and helpers to run but what fusions to run as well
I really love that the Whispy fights are never the same as the previous one (well aside from TKCD), and have their own unique fight style. Planet Robobot was insane in he had THREE phases put into him. And Mass Attack has him growing taller in order to avoid taking damage, which was also a neat concept too.
three words I hope they put in again:
helper to hero
Pretty okay, just the fact that we're getting new stuff for sure makes me happy.
And the Switch game looks like everything I've ever wanted.
This so much. It'll also be neat if players could choose their own helpers.
It'll be interesting to see how the new helpers for the new ability's work out.
If helpers combining their powers is true, than I can't wait to have Burning Leo and Chilly together.
I just hope we get a taste of Yo-yo or animal, this could be their year!
you got that idea from that guy from my hero academia you cheeky breeky didn't you?
Adding to that, lets also hope for Ghost to come back as well
It looks so damn smooth as well. We're living in the best Kirby timeline.
And Magic
...
Sorry man, just thought of it at the moment.
Most new nintendo games are using unreal egine 4. Faster to use, very nice graphics.
having a magic helper would be the best
Lets not forget a reworked Paint
>watched the trailer for Kirby for the switch
>looks like it has the level design in Kirby return to dreamland.
>you can actually combine copy abilities like in the 64 game
Yep picking up
That's very interesting. Do you have a source about that?
Its not all of them however. Xenoblade uses its own engine.
im fucking furious reggie said he'd had 2 other annouuncements they would be making over the 2 dys and all we got was fucking metroid returns, i hope he get's hit by a fucking giraffe on safari the fucking faggot
Hope this means we'll get games a bit more quicker.
We also got Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido reveal yesterday & the ARMS DLC was shown today:
youtube.com
Don't forget Superstar Saga. Just because we knew about it early doesn't make it not an announcement on their part.
That song is better than any Kirby game honestly.
I read blowout blast as blowjob blast
Hope this means we'll see the cast of Kirby 64 back as well.
