Also Skies of Arcadia fits nicely, what with the way you gain the ability to fight on bigger and bigger scales (and not to mention, both Vyse and Simon are based on Captain Harlock).

How would you even start on something as massive as Exalted though?

You'd need to account for movement; stunts; charms; the Wyld Hunt; all the intricacies of combat; SOCIAL combat; building kingdoms; fighting armies; seducing gods (actually that's one of the easier ones); crafting wonders; dueling other destinty-shaping powerhouses...

Just to fit all those systems in, I think it'd have to be an RPG...
