I'm fairly positive it will be. I know sakaguchi wants to continue making bigger games for consoles. It's just more realistic to make mobile games for smaller companies, in Japan. Perhaps they finally picked up a backer or they have enough capital to do so.
I'm really hoping for a Nintendo Switch/PC game. If it's Nintendo Switch, that'll be the deal maker for me to actually get one

There was definitely a few years where so called double A developers found it really difficult to figure out a model that would let them publish those games after the model you saw at the start of the 360/PS3 gen started to fail so they all just ended up making mobage, feels like lots of those companies are starting to come back.
