OP doesn't have autism
You sound like the type of faggot who complained that Bowser didn't have a rainbow "shine" on him for the last battle in Super Mario 64 DS
I'm inclined to agree that the remake looks worse. The colors in particular.
Isn't a big deal really
Assuming you're serious about this, the sprites are fine, it's just that they aren't as exaggerated as the original GBA sprites (which has been the case since Dream Team, I believe)
I foresee more complaining about the enemy redesigns honestly.
Looks better.
>one trailer is released
>"THEY RUINED IT"
I've seen multiple people say its shit because the carpet is only one color. You have autism
So they're going to remake based Partners in Time after this, right?
why did this need a remake?
>Luigi doesn't wave his hat
He just hasn't gotten to that animation yet. The original was further along in its footage. You can tell they weren't going for a one-to-one comparison since they don't use the correct Bros. Attacks during battle and enter the ship from the opposite side.
One thing I did notice was that Fawful's dialogue box wasn't large and spiky for emphasis, it was a completely normal speech bubble.
it's not pokemon
there is literally no need to remake anything on the ds
might be cool with the 3d effect on
I don't think this is about the color you nintendomes. OP didn't say a god damn thing about color, but you're pretending he did so you can be a smug faggots.
This is about the ANIMATION.
Pay attention.
Doubt it. The 3DS can still run DS games.
some post the turtles comparison
>toads don't have tabards
>no water fall tears
>tiny text boxes
everything in general is just not exaggerated enough
go to 0:40 and you'll see that mario and luigi's expressions are more exaggerated.
Let's talk about the real problem. Combat (namely enemies) isn't enhanced to DT/PJ level.
ruined but will still get.
can't say for sure since he haven't seen a lot of gameplay. i hope they make the game more difficult like the recent entries because superstar saga was easy as fuck.
I'm glad to see this great game get a new coat of paint for the kids who were born after the original came out.
It's not as visually impressive which is disappointing, but overall I think it deserved the attention. I hope they fix the bean machine with the other nintendo characters that were supposed to appear instead of E. Gadd though.
in some cases its less expressive, in some cases its actually MORE expressive. same thing with the colors. sometimes they look better in the remake, sometimes they look worse. regardless, its still the same game as before, but you autists will look for anything to bitch and moan about
My only complaint so far is how ugly the backgrounds are, pic related is the biggest offender. I can't place my finger on it but it looks like they put the entire trailer through After Effects to give it a shine.
It looks a lot more bland. Just look at those trees when Toad comes asking Mario and Luigi for help.
Works for me, but I don't plan to get it regardless unless they reveal they're adding new Bros. Moves
They are using "3D lighting effects" on the backgrounds this time
The only I wonder is if they'll change a few areas this time around. And some other stuff.
looks fine to me, cry more
*thing
>I don't plan to get it regardless unless they reveal they're adding new Bros. Moves
i don't think they'll add new ones unfortunately. they have adjusted the advance variants by making them selectable from the menu while also costing more BP to better balance them. they'll probably add the boss rings from the later games.
That's a really nice background
May just be video quality but it's how blurry the bg is.
Look at the star statues, they look blurry as shit
>facebook-tier meme
I fucking love DT's artstyle but this remake was a little unnecessary, gba one still looks great
Besides the colors not being as vibrant I think it looks way better.
considering M&L also look blurry it's clearly the video
it may have been made in response to Paper Jams lukewarm reception.
op acting like a woman so he deserved it
I don't see why its necessary to put down money for a game that doesn't particularly look better, especially when I can still play the original.
Insulting people for not buying rehashes always seems like a stupid thing for corporate fanboys to do. I don't have to explain myself for why I won't buy a rehash.
I have a lot of nostalgia for the minute details of the original. Sucks that the attention to detail seems to have been placed elsewhere but then again why should this remake pander to my nostalgia when I have the original to play at any time?
I mean, I never actually got to own it being a kid with no job, so now I can since I have the money. What's wrong with that?
PiT was shit.
Cashgrab with reused assets.
Fuck you. Only flaw in PiT is bosses being huge sponges. Babies in combat was super clever and very well implemented.
wan't that only a thing in europe?
nah, it was the north american version that had that problem.
NA only.
>Babies in combat was super clever and very well implemented
Like hell they were. They fucking sucked.
Having bros moves as items sucked dick too and there's a reason they never did it again. It was also the beginning of having bros moves being long drawn out minigames than being snappy button presses.
>MUH BROS MOVES
Every fucking time with you retards.
>Dismissing it as if it's not a valid complaint.
>It was also the beginning of having bros moves being long drawn out minigames than being snappy button presses.
not him but these are pretty subjective i find. i'll enjoy the attacks if they're fun and engaging to perform. though my favourites will always be the original bros. attacks and maybe even the luiginary attacks.
It's faithful but the lack of over the top expressions is disappointing. Personally that was part of the charm of the original.
>Babies
There's a reason why AD didn't want to use all four buttons again. It's too tedious for people. Even in Paper Jam they thought 3 buttons was pushing it.
Man I love what they did with Stardust fields. I hope they fix the tutorial overload in that area too, especially if they're going with Paper Jam style tutorials
sure, to each their own, but since those moves are your primary method of attack like 80% of the time, I prefer to not have to sit through the same long ass minigame over and over and over.
Plus, there's no room for Advanced versions like the original had.
> It's a Sup Forums spergs out over aesthetics and says everything is ruined episode
I'll bite
It looked perfectly fine. All you morons have autism. It seems like a good remake.
i do hope they decide to return to these kinds of bros. attacks in the next entry while also expanding upon them by maybe including multiple advanced versions for each attack.
>it may have been made in response to Paper Jams lukewarm reception.
Which, if this remake is anything to go by, entirely Paper Mario's fault. Anything Paper Mario touches brings it down to garbage levels.
The series has been a downhill slide since the original. The only other good one was Bowser's Inside Story, and that's because Bowser and Fawful stole the show.
He didn't even look different. Hell, why not?
Oh, so putting details in video games is "autism," now?
Go get an STD and waste all your money on diapers and alcohol.
>. It was also the beginning of having bros moves being long drawn out minigames than being snappy button presses.
I think this complaint is overblown. Most of them are fun and I enjoy the more involved commands. Also they did tone it down a bit in later games. Most moves in Paper Jam aside from the Trio Moves that one move with the Paper Toads are over in seconds.
The lack of Advance moves is lame and it's a shame they never brought that concept back though.
Don't get me started on how much better enemy attack patterns are in later games, especially Dream Team and Paper Jam.
>The series has been a downhill slide since the original. The only other good one was Bowser's Inside Story,
I disagree as I actually enjoyed Dream Team more than Bowser's Inside Story, I just didn't like playing as Bowser and I feel like his special attacks drag the quality of the battles down, I didn't enjoy the overworld at all either and i'd say that it's probably the weakest overworld in the series.
From what I've seen so far it only seems like the mainline Mario characters lost the style of the original and all the characters introduced in MLSS retain it. I assume Nintendo forces them to stay on model to their design ideas rather than this being something the AlphaDream art team was incompetent about.
mario and luigi look fine as some of their expressions seem more exaggerated now.
>I actually enjoyed Dream Team
Couldn't finish DT personally. The combat was alright, but the endless tutorials and drawn out bros moves minigames, some of which needed to use the fucking gyroscope, really got to me.
