Mobile shovelware with a gambling simulator, only remotely interesting if you're really into Fate.

Herc stays solid from the start and all the way to the endgame, as long as you're leveling him. With his bond CE he's easily one of the best 4* servants. Emiya is less good as a starter, but he gets very good later (after a lot of investment of time and materials). Carmilla and Tamamo Cat are also among the most solid servants of their respective class and rarity and keep up alright with later unit additions.

you can't, the first roll is rigged to only give you a 4*. and the odds of you getting a 5* are literally 1%.

Jeanne Alter is a limited servant from a specific event, looks like that was around a year after release.

Saber Lily is also a limited event, so you'll be trying for awhile.

If we're starting from vanilla release, then that starting servant pool doesn't exist. That was changed when E Pluribus Unum was released.

Seriously. He was the MVP throughout all of 2016. Every event was a Waver event. And it only stopped being like that because something just as or even more broken was added to the game, not because Waver himself stopped being top tier.

Mashu is such a waifu that it isn't even fair.

They're both insane supports which have it all, Merlin is more damage oritented with one turn NP protection and Waver is more sustained damage reduction.

I like having a support as the backbone of my team in pretty much any game. So that sounds great.

Depends on how much of a pain in the ass rerolling is, and what I get from draws. I'd like to get Tamamo Cat and maybe Elizabeth just to see if they have any events but I'd be fine with pretty much anything else. I'm more interested in saving up quartz for the limited time releases, though, so I don't suspect I'll be rolling much in general. What I stick with from the start is likely what I'll be using for a long time, after all.

The only two Servants that broke the game are Jeanne Alter and Merlin, the rest of the new units range from mediocre (Arthur, Kiara, MHXA) to very good (Cu Alter, Ozzy, Raiko), so there is no real powercreep.
