The game is 100% single player, but you still don't want to play offline.

In the game you make a henchman called a Pawn. That one is yours and you always bring him with you, however you can recruit up to 2 more, for a total of 3. Those extra two pawns are actually real pawns other people made as their main pawn. If you play offline you will play with randomized offline pawns that are not only terrible, but also ugly and incredibly retarded AI-wise (mages that focus on shielding you from harm over healing etc.).

So don't worry as the multiplayer aspect isn't intrusive at all, and is one of the few cases in gaming where it will exclusively make your game better.

Why is every Persona character as punchable as the dumb persona posters?

playable with some caveats, mystic knight will tank fps down to single digits in combat due to all the particle shit as will most other casters
playing offline means you can only hire the offline pawns and can't earn RC from hires
RC is used in the base game to cosmetic yourself/pawn up but unlocks cursed gear in the expansion allowing you to use it, cursed gear purification gets you some of the best gear in the game but you can get by without it

strongly suggest playing on PC instead since you can just hack in the RC to purify stuff if no one hires your pawn plus even a toaster should handle all the magick particle vomit than ps3 does

ditch your pawns, buy 9000 throwblasts go to great wall camp at night head out and to the right then kill infinitely respawning skeletons all night when day comes just pop back to the camp to rest till night you should easily be able to get several levels per night combine with hard mode and or veteran's peripats to go even faster
