Just beat Wolnir and the rat boss. Does this game get harder at some point? This is my first dark souls game on a blind first play through btw.

Not particularly. The last 2 or 3 bosses in particular are a joke.

Wolnir's a joke, but the last two Lords of Cinder kicked my ass playing it.
It does get harder after Wolnir, but Dark Souls 3 isn't particularly hard.

I dunno I tried this several times and I would just die to his fog whenever he moved up a bit.
Bloodborne is pretty easy but has some very hard optional content. Dark Souls is really a matter of your playstyle. The combat is much less spammy than the other two, you have to manage your stamina much more, commit to your attacks because they're slower, and be a bit more surgical with your strikes. You may find it relatively easy or boring because of the slower pace, but I find it much more engaging. They're both better games overall than DaS3 though.

They're both much much better. BB is fairly different from Souls due to the emphasis on being aggressive, parry timings and lack of blocking, stamina's different and shit tends to hit harder

Wolnir is one of the easiest bosses in the game.
Honestly, there were only a handful of bosses in this game that I thought were difficult. Nameless King, and Dancer really gave me issues. Soul of Cinder also gave me issues, but wasn't as bad as I thought he would be.
I think in general the game is more challenging than Dark Souls 2, though. The environments are a lot more difficult to navigate. Some of the areas, especially some of the earlier areas, really suck.

the game is beaten basically the same way as the other souls games, except shields are easy mode.
you sound like a shill, "commit to your attacks, surgical strikes", lol there's no aiming or finesse required in this series. just manage stamina and you've figured them all out.
Bloodborne is a more enjoyable game, for sure. It has a much better setting, and combat that is a lot faster and more fun. It's not necessarily harder, though. It's hard in the beginning because the game forces you to get good by deleting all shields, but once you get the hang of the controls, most of the bosses fall apart easily.
Dark Souls is in my opinion, the best game in the series. It is slower in combat, but the environments and bosses are a lot more original, and more exciting. It was also my first Souls game, so it might just be nostalgia, to be honest.
Wolnir is like that sometimes.
My first run, he just stood there and took it. My NG++ run, he killed me probably 4 times with that sort of bullshit. Died more to him than any other boss that run.
The hard thing isn't the game, is to keep playing after you realize how fucking awful is PvP
