Basically this. He was there a good 10 years before someone decided every game ever should have a character like him.

Bowsers inside story fucked his character completely. You would think his grand plan would be to get cackletas soul out of bowser, but instead it's just generic take over the world.

Didn't they kill her soul in the first game? I just figured he was trying to follow in her footsteps.

Her soul just puffs, and considering how she was able to live as a cloud before, and how Fawful kept talking about revenge, he would have at least mentioned or included her in his plan.

He's intelligent, nihilistic and has a wicked sense of humor

He's amazing. He actually has personality and is surprisingly competent.

IIRC, there is an e-celeb (not Arlo) who is completely obsessed with the OCs in the Mario RPGs, including Fawful.

I liked him for the fact that he was extremely competent, every time he pulled off something i was just going "holy shit", at how he managed to upstage everyone, until near the end that is.

I like him but I prefer my bean hero. Maybe these characters will get in the next Mario Kart or something now that they're relevant again.

His stuff is okay at times but it's pretty weird how unabashedly reverent he is for the stories and characters of the Mario RPGs. It's hard to watch one of his videos on the subject without cringing at how earnest he is.

Like, he legitimately thinks that the intro to Bowser's Inside Story is "dark".
