Is this game worth playing? I have it in the hd collection on my ps4

I do not care about the story, I only want a fun kingdom hearts game to play

Like I said, I don't care how stupid the story is, I just want to know if it has fun gameplay.

dream drop distance is my favorite kh game. I seem to be one of the few people who loves mindlessly bashing heartless over and over again.

The first game is pretty rough to play nowadays, but its necessary to play it so you can understand what the fuck happens in any of the other games.

The rest of the series is really fun to play though, KHII and KH3D are great

Yes. This is right up your alley because the story really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things (though Data Sora is actually quite likeable). It's the best iteration of the command deck system and is generally overlooked because, like I said, story wise it doesn't matter so people often say to skip it.

If you have it on the PS4, you don't actually have the game. coded is just cutscenes like 358/2 days is.

ReCoded on PS4 is a movie like Days. Gameplay is on DS is just a mashup of RPG gameplay styles depending on what world you're on. Hell of a lot better than Days. Somewhat better than 3D or BBS.
Story is somewhat irrelevant.

i'm not that upset. I could easily just emulate them since they're ds games

Days was my first kingdom hearts game and I feel like I understand the story better because of it

Story wasn't really bad, per say, just more in the realms of "What the fuck is going on?" than what KH2 did.

Gameplay was rather clunky, probably due to them shoehorning multiplayer.

During 1.5 they originally planned to remake Days in full, but there simply wasn't enough time and the resources required would have hindered KHIII's development.

After suffering through them eating ice cream every day and being hinted that they're coming back, Nothing fucking makes sense and I don't feel for them.
Then again KH stopped making sense after the original KH

well yeah, it's obvious now that they're all gonna come back at the end of the series. But at the time I played the game I had no idea it would happen in the future
