Thoughts? I like the armors in both this and his NCR overhaul, but I'm not sure about the faces. Would there be a way to remove just the faces.

First playthrough was blind, totally blew it when I went with Daniel and his bullshit.

I've tried playing it maybe 5 times, heavily modded, I installed like 200 mods that add tons of content and cool shit, and it's still boring and bland as FUCK

The quests are complete snooze fest
the dialogues are boring
the world is boring and not fun to explore
the gunplay is trash


I always get to the part where you free the Sheriff in Primm or something, and then I just quit because it's soooo fucking boring

On top of that, the UI is infuriating and a chore to navigate through. Everything, the map, inventory, stats, skills, are all in one device with makes it frustrating having to change between the map and the inventory all the time.

Just because it's better than 3 doesn't mean it makes it good. It's still shit.

I've played through New Vegas probably a dozen times but never with mods. I enjoy the game just fine without mods but I feel like I'm missing out on a fun way to play the game.

Yes, but most important or named NPC's disappear and so do the quests. Anything you want to do I recommend doing there before you finish

If you have New Vegas you can install Tale of Two Wasteland, then use New Vegas adult mods while playing the Fallout 3 storyline, there are a few made specifically with TTW in mind

What do you guys think of the A world of pain mod? I'm using it for the first time and I've been checking every new location from goodsprings to nipton. So far I gotta say it's mediocre. I had a lot of good expectations about it since the mod is so famous in the NV mod community but it just isn't that good. The locations are boring and show nothing special, the enemies aren't particularly difficult, the notes (in my opinion the best part about the dungeons in all modern fallout games) are practically non existent, and the loot completely unbalances the game. I'm using the "less loot" option and it is still unbalanced as fuck. I have a hunting shotgun, assault cabine, and other high end weapons with tons of ammo as a level 10 character. I also have already 10000+ caps with all the loot this mod gives me, it's unbalanced as fuck. Anyway what do you guys think about it? Should i uninstall?

I wish honest hearts was better. His lines are great and his character is great. I would have enjoyed it a lot more if he was more involved and I didn't spend my entire time running around killing spirit bears.

The DLC is fantastic and they're all connected so play them in release order

What about mods that let me do evil shit? Better slavery and buying/selling people, building a harem of girls (Amata/Moira/Lucy West etc.) doing jobs for Talon Company, killing children, all that stuff.

That's hard to say, my first playthrough was without the DLC and I enjoyed it but they really do have some great moments and it's nice to be able to take a break from the Mojave now and then.

Dead Money has great atmosphere and characters but can be annoying, OWB is a bit of a dialogue slog with some bullet sponge enemies but the perks you get from it are insane. Honest Hearts is just straight up good. Lonesome Road is very linear but serves as a great conclusion to the courier's story.

I guess it's personal preference. I liked the setting and the sub-story of the man in the cave. Graham is also one of the best characters in the game. The actual story with the tribals is a little weak, I'll give you that.

I hated the level structure. It was annoying getting to many locations. I disliked a lot of the quests. The mini story of that one ranger(?) or person lost in the caves telling how he was watching over some children was pretty good, but I just did not care about the two tribes and their war, or the spirit bear. The DLC was incredibly short and there just wasn't enough Joshua Graham. He sat in a cave for most of it and then you fought the final battle.

Are there any mods that can enhance my melee experience?

I wanna try a melee character for my 2nd playthrough or at least an explosives build

Honest Hearts was boring with mostly dull animal enemies with the occasional tribesmen. A shame because the land itself was beautiful in places.

Joshua single-handedly saved it for me. Best quotes in the game. Best character in the game. Who knew going full Templar Mormon would be so thrilling.
