My cock is the best RPG. OP is a faggot
ELEX WILL SURPASS IT
lol
No it isn't, it's time to discuss Christian Weston Chandler.
>western
fantasy actually
But that's not Fallout 1, Ultima 7, or Morrowind.
good taste detected
...
The classic is still best.
What is this user? And it's pitch black? That's not how light works.
that's exactly how light works you cunt breaker
>scifi with swords
trash
So, I've recently started going down my "played this in past but didn't finish" list and I knocked Arcanum off that list yesterday. I am looking at Gothic 2 as the next likely candidate to play, can anyone recommend me some kind of guide which lists basic info like which mods and patches to install to improve the experience? Not looking for stuff that overhauls the game, adds too many new stuff or changes a lot. Small number of changes/additions is okay.
fuck you nigger
The light radius is way too low and coupled with natural night vision the details should be amplified. Pitch black only works in enclosed spaces.

Ignore the L'hiver mod
game?
can't tell cause it's such a shitty dark image
ahhh, ive been waiting for a thread to discuss the best rpg ever

better than 3 lmao
Playing Gothic 1. Mixture of being shit and not seeing other options, took me 8 hours to reach act 2. Game is losing my interest fast.
Due to some grinding, I'm 1 shotting almost everything and every quests have me running around the map like a gopher. Should I continue.
no, play 2
Thanks user
I'm having the same experience as the other guy, though the simulationism is sweet. What makes 2 better?
SOMEBODY TELL ME HOW THE FUCK DO I SOLVE THE MISSING PEOPLE QUESTION FUUUUCK
go to the harbor, jump into the sea and swim to the right until you get to a little sand beach with some shacks in it, there's a pirate named Skip there. Eventually he will give you information about Dexter and where to find him.
That's Christine you cis shitlord.
less backtrack-heavy fetch quests, much harder, everything is just bigger and better, more polished
Although a lot of what the game did was revolutionary back in the day, I also hated all the backtracking when it first came out.
I hope to god they have learned from their mistakes and will make Elex good. Never finished Risen 2 due to the atrocious combat, now I'm trying to force myself through Risen 3 but somehow it's even worse, even Arcania had more enjoyable combat.
leader designer or something said they don't even know what made Gothic 1 and 2 so good so no they're a bunch of fucktards
The people who made g1 and g2 great left PB a long time ago
Just watching the gameplay of Elex you can tell that it's exactly like Risen 2
No he doesn't. he only gave me that shitty delivery quest and that's it, no more dialogue.
>Fallout 1
>not 2
Gonna have to go ahead and agree with
If you have a map he would circle on your map where Dexter is. If you look at the map and at Onar's farm there's a tower near it, that's where Dexter is. You go there, don't have to fight them, they can let you through. You kill Dexter and take his letter, read it and you learn about Raven. Then you go back to Vatras, and you can join the ring of water.
Uh, no.
The way I see it, it was a side effect of Gothic 1 having been designed as an mmo before they decided to make a single player game out of it. The camps are bigger and more interesting that many “cities” with just a few houses in today’s rpgs. Every npc has the same move set and skill tree as the player, so you feel like a part of the world, not just an observer. And the combat was great in my opinion, they essentially pioneered the system used in Chivalry and For Honor, with each key being responsible for the weapon’s movement in a particular direction instead of button mashing. Add to that the godlike music of Rosenkranz and you got a classic people play to this day.
user, your gamma is really wrong.
That's not Oblivion
gothic 1 > gothic 2
