>echo:just pirating this credit card code, don't mind me :^)

>launch PC
>cmd pops up for 0,5 sec after logging in

>cursor has been doing this randomly

>lay down to go to sleep
>phone buzzes telling me my Steam account had a login attempt
>this has happened for over a year
lol

>finish pirated game
>developers thanks me at the end for supporting them
I-I guess I will shill your game for free now. Was playing with my emotions part of your plan?

>Pirate a game
>Credits show the developers with their family
>Saying how grateful they are for buying their game
>Video of the director of the game crying saying thank you for playing his dream game that took almost his whole life to create
>sad piano music starts playing

>pirate game
>"thank you for buying our game we are new developers trying to start out in games industry and it means so much to us"

>Legally purchase a game full price
>Devs were so hard for DRM, the game crashes on launch
>Thousands of PC and PS4 players bitching about the same problem
>3 months later, still can't even reach the title screen of said game.
>Pirate the game and receive a letter from my ISP
>Finally play the game and it's mediocre at best

fuck you lords of the Fallen

>finish pirated game
>"thank you so much for supporting us"
>3 business days later I get a letter in my mail
>manilla color, everything on the front is in cursive written with blue pen
>it's a thank-you card from the developers
>has $5 and a banana flavored laffytaffy
thanks doublefine

>he has Office installed
>doesn't know about the scheduler bug

>Only pirates older games
>"Nobody even sells this shit anymore"
>Goes on the Internet for two seconds
>Steam and GOG sell everything I pirated
>oh
>Watches interviews with developers
>"We really hope everyone enjoys our game"
>huh
>Plays game
>So much care put into it
>huh
>Has plenty of cash on hand
>huh
>Reads about how hard it was to actually get people to invest in the game
> h u h
fuck me

Well, fuck Denuvo, rather.

>pirate a game
>final and only good ending is nearly impossible to get without connecting to the network

You didn't eat that laffy taffy did you? It's loaded with a virus used to convert pirates.

>the devs don't even get paid anymore and the money goes straight into GOG or steams pockets

H U H

Name literally ONE game where this happen

Same. Bulgarian fuckers will never guess my password

you must disable your antivirus protection - it's totally harmless

I don't pirate but the cmd thing has happened to me, when i turn on the PC sometimes for like a spit second. Antivirus doesn't pick up anything either.

>click .exe
>it disappears

That one kickstarter game that the dude made for his kid dying of cancer

>pirate a game
>it's so good I sink 50+ hours into it
>buy it on gog and sink another 50 just to support them

>Pirate the game and receive a letter from my ISP

LOL NICE FREEDOM

>download crack
>all your files are taken hostage

Nier automata

>pirate game
>launch installer
>it plays some loud ass music

stop this shit.

>pirate game
>enjoy it a lot and play it for 100-150 hours
>purchase on steam to support devs
>never touch it again

Whaaat? What game? Is that a real thing?

>download Russian repack
>keygen music starts playing

FBI searching your harddrive for Captain Picard. Unplug your router and get some big magnets.

>2017
>not having a volume control on your computer

The letters don't mean anything

>install pirated game
>1972 atari """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""tunes""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" starts playing

>have to turn my whole computer's sound off because of an autistic hacker

this is the only way to enjoy PC games and if you don't do this you are wrong

>download cracked copy of a game
>follow slightly elaborate driver/setup instructions
>start game
>fucking buzzy electronica starts playing and a weird logo materializes onto the screen

It was just a little vanity move on the part of the cracking team and preceded the normal bootup, but I thought my computer was literally done for.

That shit keep happening with me. How the fuck do I stop it? Is it normal?

I don't think it's normal, check you autorun.

>launch pirated game
>main menu screen has the cracker group's shitty logo plastered in one corner

This except the last two parts

>game includes npc that scolds you for pirating

>run OS and everything related on SSD
>turn off monitors and go to bed
>while in bed the HDD boots up

Defend your license rights before you get your internet cut off senpai

yes, it happens everytime you log in, or launch a game, it just usually happens so fast that you don't see it, it's supposed to be 'behind the scenes' if you're seeing it it means your computer is getting OLD

>be poorfag
>pirate game
>love game
>not poorfag anymore
>buy game

Feels good man. I'd buy games far more often if they weren't so overpriced.

>playing games
>mouse starts moving with inputs that arent mine
>freak out, think i got a virus or something
>disconnect internet
>its still moving with no inputs
>start every scan i can think of, still moving now and then on its own
>left my wireless mouse downstairs and my roommate was cleaning the table

>put computer to sleep
>3AM
>wake up to fan noise
>my computer has turned itself on

>typing a paper
>put on the finishing touches
>take hands off keyboard
>typing continues without my input
>turns out I slipped and tapped a g key which caused the keyboard to autotype out a copypasta I had saved

what the fuck kind of keyboard autotypes copypasta rather than just pasting it

I fucking love these, occasionally you even get some non chiptune gems.

youtu.be/OyEusKu44wc?t=163

Some companies have shit anti-piracy detection, I remember getting some Telltale's games for free due to some promotions for buying and playing their games

logitech 910
for some reason long copypastas fuck up and don't paste correctly unless you make it auto type it out with a delay of about 3 ms

> shouldnotseeme.exe

Maybe it wasn't tired yet.

>quit game
>icons on desktop quickly disappear and then refresh themselves

The clipboard is a part of your OS, not the keyboard user
Something is wrong with your OS

I found out what caused it a whole year later. My retard cat likes to swat at my keyboard which wakes it up

>Game.iso.exe

fuck pirates

>having a retard cat

no no. I can copy paste just fine. but the keyboard has extra keys that function via a third party logitech program, one of the functions let's me make a text block and bind it to one of these extra keys. And that doesn't copy paste, that auto types. I can still do normal clipboard functions though, it's just easier to use the text blocks for shitposting rather than going through the hassle of opening up word to grab a copypasta

it's my mothers, but she's too sick to take care of it so now I have to

Man, to have a life where I always need one-button copypasta on tap.

>have to

>svchost.exe

honestly, half the reason I do it is because watching the auto type go off is rather entertaining. Sometimes, after I've written an essay I'll put it in a text block key and watch the keyboard retype it for fun

What a fucking life

>del *.*

>Tfw 40+ login attempt in less than a week
I wish i was kidding.
I don't even have games in there yet these damn ruskies try it basically eveyday

aвe дaвe :)

>not clicking on the mute button that's right in the installation window

youtube.com/watch?v=9STiQ8cCIo0

Is it password?

They don't always have one user

Is that really caused by a virus? I've seen it happen on a friend's laptop and told him to scan it cause of threads like these.

I haven't seen one that didn't in years.

>he doesn't groove to this on every install
Being a pleb must be hell

It was my first letter and I'm no longer even with that ISP anymore. It was just the kick in the dick that even after paying $60 +$25 season pass for Lords of the fallen that I was so hype for, the game was again, mediocre at best.

This is why I'm adamant about devs offering a fucking demo of their game. Let me play a random little mission. Just to see if the game runs right. Or looks good. Or plays well. But instead they release broken garbage and get around to fixing their garbage heap when they feel like it because they already have my money. If I see a game runs DRM, I don't buy it until it's under $20.

I hope ya have the double security thingy enabled on all your accounts, I was almost hacked two years ago and the only thing they could access was my rockstar account, but they couldnt change the password and they even linked their facebook account to it...

What's your password like? Most times you get so many damned attempts because your username is on someone's list.

hope your password is at least 14 characters long.

>explorer.exe

What is it exploring?

fair enough. at least you have a kind-of a demo system with steam refunds.

>Watch stream.
>Violin music starts.
>Close stream. Music continues. Close tabs, music continues.
>Close browser, music stops...

>aвe дaвe
hi dave?

This user. Link your account to your phone or email so it requires a code. If the people trying to get in still manage to access your steam account, you're in deeper shit than you realize.

Yeah they cracked my password somehow.
They don't have my email though so it's alright for now i guess.
I'll probably delete the account one of these days though.

>Link your account to your phone
>giving up your freedoms

No.
You just press enter. Noone will EVER think of that...

good luck

Change your password you fucking moron

What freedoms?

Change your password and have some spare ones in mind, don't forget to use other symbols than letters and numbers too.

>giving your personal information to big data

This is why I prefer direct downloads, IRC etc over torrents. You're connecting to one address, not thousands that can also see you.

>Cleaning comp up for friend
>Notice his net is slow as shit
>He's seeding everything he's ever downloaded via torrents, easily 200+
>Its been running like this for months
>Tell him he should shut that shit off, but disregards
>He gets 2 letters in the same week for some shitty direct to DVD Disney movie he dl'd for a friend

Torrents are convenient but you can find everything elsewhere

>pirate game
>scan it with Norton once it unpacks
>nothing detected
>mount it and install
>scan once done, nothing detected
>launch the installer
>disappears
>Norton quarantined it because of WS.Reputation 1
>restore it back
>Norton does the same thing for the game's .exe when the launcher boots it
At least it's not a joke unlike McAfee I guess

I want my account to be secure.

oh hi bob
