You just sell good weapons that you loot and get alot of caps from those snow globes too. It adds up after a while, legion assassins drop really good loot.

with a vault full of gold bars

luck 10
play blackjack until banned

Kill every living being and take their items and caps.

that gives you like 15k max
some weapons are 22k

By the time the DLC was released I already had enough caps to buy everything

Anything under luck 7 is a waste when it comes to gambling. What you want to do is save scum on luck 7 at black jack so you win every hand. Then when you get kicked out you reload save and goto the good old one arm bandit. Save scum it until you jackpot for maximum caps. If you're into exploiting there are other ways to do it.

get juryrigg perk
buy/scav low end weapons
find high end weapons
repair high end weapons
sell high end weapons
profit

dead money dlc

JSawyer's rebalanced economy.

luck, gambling and dead money dlc

also bartering the fuck out of every conversation and looting any remotely expensive gear you can find

it might take a long time traveling back and forth/dumping loot in containers etc but it's worth

player.additem 0000000f Add cap amount here
:^)

Don't let go

loot weapons
sell weapons
repeat

Save Scumming is for scum, that's why it's called that.

this

jsawyer mods are god tier for new vegas

You're meant to take all of the gold bars and trade them for GRA guns.

Sell overprized weapons such as Hunting Rifles or 9mm SMGs

Or just play any one of the DLCs and never worry about caps again. They all have fuckton of easily attainable loot

Player.additem f 90000000000000000000000000000000000

this i literally bought shit at the arsenal after stealing the bars

Fiends are right outside and drop laser rcw and rifles which ar worth at least 300 caps apiece. Put on Benny's suit and a roving trader hat though, goddam

allow me to take you to a wondrous place

>go to raider turf
>kill everyone
>leave area
>wait 3 days in-game
>repeat

>go out and kill things and loot things
>Collect mostly guns
>Grab multiples of the same gun and break apart one to repair the other
>sell for easy profit
Got tons of 10mm SMGs in vault 34 and after selling 4 or 5 fully repaired SMGs, I walked away with almost 30k caps

>Don't let go

tfw I spent like 4 hours trying to get the gold out the 'legit' way and I didn't even sell the gold

>lol pc master race XD

>decapitate Elijah
>carry head into vault
>fill with gold bars
>carry it out
Can live comfortably till the end of time

>pick up all the bars
>walk the long way around elijah
you can do it legit and normally, it just takes efficient movement.
i think you have to drop them all to jump over a gap in the stairs at some point but you can pick them all up. And it's easy because instead of 37 gold bars, you have just 1 gold bar (37)

Luck 10

go into all the casinos in new vegas, that shithole place before new vegas, prim etc.

play slots until you hit a big jackpot and get kicked out, you can get a fuck ton by doing this

...

>i think you have to drop them all to jump over a gap in the stairs at some point but you can pick them all up. And it's easy because instead of 37 gold bars, you have just 1 gold bar (37)
can't you just pick up the 1 gold bar (37) with z and walk out?

I thought stuff you were carrying with z got left behind when you transition to a new area.

pick it up, use the door, drop it and z carry again

Just do the vendor glitch that is in every fallout game

Sigh...

WE

SCREAM

youtube.com/watch?v=hF_-5pZ_kxY

So, I've been labeled as a terrorist by the NCR for progressing too much in the Legion's path. I still have to do that mission in Vault 22.
Will Dr. Hildern refuse to talk to me or can I still complete the mission?

what's the point of doing a glitch instead of just using a console command

He's NCR affiliated but I don't think you need to go back to him to finish the quest. I dont really remember though. You might be fucked on that one.

>not naming this filename what it should be named
You had one fucking job.

>He's NCR affiliated but I don't think you need to go back to him to finish the quest. I dont really remember though. You might be fucked on that one.
I wasn't even planning to give him the data; you'd need to be an idiot to use Big MT technology for something other than killing.

Vendor glitch the kids who cant afford pc.

Incorrect. Play blackjack until nearing the limit. Then play slots until you get a massive payout and go over the limit by a great deal.

Speaking of weapons, what's your favorite weapon that doesn't fit your class?
The L.A.E.R Rifle does it for me so well, despite me nearly always playing Guns focused Couriers.

>complaining about money in a fucking Bethesda game

player.additem 000000f 50000

Well, if you want to approach it that way won't don't you just activate god mode and skip all the missions with console commands?

How the hell are you so poor that you can't buy the bozar by the time you get to Vegas?

not that guy, but there's a big difference between skipping unfun stuff with console commands and skipping fun stuff with console commands.

what? the bozar costs like 26k
I have 2K on hand (playing hardcore)

>they don't get to lvl 17 and hunt super mutants at black mountain
>they don't sell their loot to get caps

But obtaining money is fun. It gives a purpose to a lot of missions you'll get paid for doing.

>whole game has only 1 DUNGEON with super mutants
what the fuck

Why bother savescumming when you can just cheat the money into your character?

It just saves time for literally the same thing.

Really money is easy.know what to loot make sure you repair items. Make sure you have a high barter skill or use bonus items. Sell everything you don't need make multiple trips to sell stuff if you have to. Grenades are great light weight and if you save them all you can get a ton of them same with mines

>buff barter skill with roving trader outfit, salesman weekly, and mentats
>sell valuable items from the following locations
Black Mountain
Black Rock Cave
The Devil's Throat
Bonnie Springs
Brewer's Beer Bootlegging
Charleston Cave
Morning Star Cavern
Vault 22
Repconn Headquarters
Walking Box Cavern
Nellis Arrays
Durable Dunn's Sacked Caravan
Tribal Village

I do missions for the mission itself, not for the reward.

I respect that. But from a roleplaying perspective I like finding other justifications for Courier's whose motives don't simply conform to "doing the right thing" or "doing it for the thrill".

I do it because profligates deserve death.

Besides, "I want money" is more boring than both the motives you described.

Since your character always ends up suffering from being the only person to decide the fate of basically every life in new vegas I've always role played a demigod like character that simply does things for the thrill, they have become bored of another life they used to live and came to the wasteland to experience something new hence the being able to survive bullet to head and all those injuries so easily. I always found it fun in most games but really fits well with Bethesda titles.

>Besides, "I want money" is more boring than both the motives you described.
It is, but sometimes I like playing a very professional merc with not many cares beyond making money and then subject them to some character development after certain quests and mainly the DLCs. It's autistic as hell, but I've had my fund with that.

kill raindeers and sell their laser guns, those are always expensive
you can also steal shit that's out in the open in shops then sell them like van giraffes
it's really easy to make money, also that no pants perk grants like 15k caps/level

So, in your mind conviction is what makes the Courier so badass? That's an interesting idea to explore.

If you really have that much trouble scavenging or killing mutants for pelts than you fucking suck.

You can easily earn over 1000 caps before you even get to vegas.

Sell pre war cash?
Do the van graff quest
Save cass kill everyone loot the whole place and sell

What's the most fun way to destroy the Brotherhood?
Going in guns blazing?
Pirating the turrets?
Activating the self destruct sequence?
A combination of the above?

>do powder ganger questline at start of game
>wait until you have the quest to intimidate the store clerk for ammo and armor
>stealth kill every powder ganger
>spam chet for infinite leather armor and bullets to sell

the better question is what the FUCK are you supposed to spend the hundreds of thousands of caps you have on?

>being poor in a game that literally showers you with money

baka

I just helped them and left them alone when i chose the independent vegas route.
Theres no need to kill them unless youre an NCR/House shill.

why not just use the console

Legionfag, actually.

1: Get Jury Rigging Perk
2: Learn what cheap guns and armor can be used to repair expensive guns and armor.
3: Buy cheap guns and armor and repair to 100% then use them to repair expensive guns and armor that's in lousy condition.
4: Print money.

>killing the brotherhood
>legionfag
So then youre doing it for fun?
Or you want to see an ending monolouge about how you decimated the brotherhood?

>game ends once you finish the main quest
isn't it retarded ??
why can't it continue

Caesar explicitly orders you to kill them, user.

>lvl cap 30

No thanks.

That's the only way to avoid enemies turning into bullet sponges.

Why not just get a mod that increases headshot and global damage instead?

You have to let go, user.

Cuz they wasn't bothered to change the dialogue

Because that just makes wearing helmets a fucking joke. Seriously, piercing a Paladin's helmet with a 22. caliber pistol is retarded.

DT should take care of that, and regardless, having to shoot a raider 6 times in the face so they'll die is a bigger joke.

More like they didn't have the time to do so.

Yikes.

If you wanna do it that way:

>Pick up all bars
>Stealth boy around Elijah's field of vision
>Drop singular bar (37), leap gap
>Pick bars back up and continue sneaking
>Barely make it to the hallway with the elevator as forcefields turn on
>tfw slowly walking out with a fortune while Elijah goes autistic on you in the background

this the druggies near vault 3 have top notch stuff

What the fuck really?
Shit i dont even remember that.
Ok im shitposting ignore me

Caps are so easy to get in NV

the game is actually way better when you mod the economy

Actually if you time it right you can walk out from the main room using a stealth boy before the fields go up.

I play on medium difficultly on Hardcore and a 9mm is enough to kill raiders in 2 shots.

Download Jsawyer. Pump up Barter and repair, find legion dogs and murder them for their hunting shotguns, repair all the dhotguns you can carry and sell them to a trader who can afford them. Keep in mind weapons are also equally expensive so expect to buy only one thing and have enough for ammo.

>Get Lonesome Road
>Go to literally the first open area.
>kill shit, teleport back to hopeville HQ; sell shit until commisary has swim in money

>entire DLC is a slog through invincible enemies
>bullshit holograms that one-shot you
>get to the gold
>its too heavy to carry more than 4
>YOU HAVE TO LET IT GO

What a bullshit DLC. Teasing the player with fucktons of gold and giving them some dumbass moral lesson at the end of a grueling experience is not entertainment.

Did they ever tell you of the gold? I don't remember it ever being mentioned; just that Elijah wanted to get in the vault. Seeing all the gold caught me off guard.

>Teasing the player with fucktons of gold and giving them some dumbass moral lesson at the end of a grueling experience is not entertainment.
Popping a Stealth Boy and walking out w/ the gold bars sure was entertaining tho.

KILL LOOT SELL KILL LOOT SELL

Just take it all and sneak out, not hard.

I always carry a fat man and Annabelle with me, even as a sub 10 explosives character

You know you can just trade with items? That's what barter literally means, trading shit without using a medium of exchange, such as money.
