Arma 2 does Fragmentation grenades pretty good.
Battlefield BC 2 is also decent.
EAT THIS SHIT MOTHERFUCKER!
HEY CATCH THIS!
GRANADA!
GRENADE RUN!
i wish the newer BF games didnt have so many different types of grenades
black
i wouldn't be surprised if the game was made by /k/
Games that make Granades feel like something that you can't sruge of is a good example
Games that make Granades feel like that they're literally Staten to be around no matter the range especially with Initial blast, and srapenel
I'd argue Rainbow Six Siege does them very well. Nothing is more satisfying that chucking a pre-cooked nade down a hallway and killing a enemy with it.
They are also useful for take care of any obstacles and they actually take fragmentation into account when they are near walls.
Impact Grenades are pretty useless against enemies but not so bad for making a hole to climb through.
Holy fuck. Find a foreign imageboard. This shit's English.
>Throw a grenade inside a window
>3 floors of the building explode
It's so dumb but so damn satisfying
Verdun is a good game but its nades fucking suck.
Aww, did I trigger you? Did I hurt your poor little fee fees?
Halo's plasma grenades are very fun to use.
>battlefield 2 grenades
>each solder gets 4 of them
>each grenade can one hit
>support packs can instantly refill 4 of them
>that 64 man karkand hell
...
>Da joos cuck!!
You could have made your point without buzzwords. Opinion disregarded.
any game that hasa sticky grenades are good
MW2
>doesent know what buzzwords are
reddit folks
sof
Not an argument.
Perfect Dark
>4 way multiplayer match
>N-bombs only
>As soon as match starts the screen instantly becomes black and distorted with grunts and screams being heard constantly until the game ends
Good times
the sad thing is that in BF1 every grenade is significantly worse than the default frag. The closest thing was when you could have 2 mini grenades, but they took that away.
Stalker's F1 grenades are really powerful
Halo, while futuristic, got the balance just right.
the grenade launcher in Quake is not only the best grenade weapon in any game, it's the best weapon in any game period
>game runs at 5 FPS
Borderlands 2 had fun grenades
storm front
fastball
rolling thunder
turning niggas into red mist
>he uses Reddit spacing
Boy, it sure is faggy around here.
>Enemy throws a grenade
>You can pick it up and throw it back
ive never done this
i always just run away
Stalker. Only game to my knowledge that has the differencce between offensive and devensive grenades with their blast radius.
>blow up because they prime them
Nice try
RS2: Vietnam imo.
Good meaty sounds, not to mention white phosphorous grenade
>throw
>two seconds pass
>Boom!
>big smoke cloud
>AAAEEAAAAAAAEH
Far Cry 2 had nice grenades as well.
>throw a grenade at checkpoint/enemy outpost
>ammo dump explodes
>bullets spewing everywhere
>gas canisters get hits
>tall ones turn into land torpedoes
>grass is on fire
>smaller, white gas cans spin around for a while then explode
>even more fire
>some men.png
>nearly all enemies dead, one straggler crawled near a rock and is having his last moments with pistol in hand
Fuck off Amerifat your not the only people that use this shithole
dod was awesome
What the hell's the difference between an offensive and defensive grenade? A grenade is a grenade right?
Defensive grenades like the F1, m2 "pineapple" and "mills bomb" use tiny pieces of metal thrown over a large radius to harm. These are used when the thrower has cover.
Offensive grenades like the stick grednade model 24 rely on the explosion and concussion themselvs to deal damage, less fragments means cover isnt as important and you can throw them while moving up. (Provided you don't get to the grenade before it explodes". There were also steel cups to put around the head of an offensive grenades to turn them into fragmentation defensive grenades.
7.52 high caliber does it as well, it's a buggy slave game too.
Defensive grenades are heavier because they are filled with more explosive and fragments, their kill radius is generally larger than the distance that the average soldier is able to throw, this means that you must use them from cover.
I think OP was talking about thrown hand grenades but I definitely agree. Nothing more satisfying than goring a bunch of zombies with a well placed grenade.
Descriptions in the name. One is heavier, more powerful, and designed to only be safely used behind cover. The other is less powerful and meant to be thrown farther.
Modern doctrine has done away with this however as soldiers are now taught to quickly chuck em then sprint around in circles and shoot the enemy in the back before getting quickscoped.
grenades suck irl
Halo frag, plas, and spike grenades were fun. They felt meaty and satisfying to use as well as being both powerful and well balanced
World at War on veteran :')
>World at War on veteran
you suck.
they only kill for 15 feet you have to be really close to die
>enemy tries to prime grenade
>blows own hand and head off and kills three other men in foxhole
always a fucking kek when games add realism in
>15'
t. someone whose never even seen a grenade in real life
BF2 and halo gave me grenade tourettes, I can't hold onto grenades longer than a minute tops.
>Attempt to use a grenade in any game
>Always fuck it up
>Enemy uses grenade against you
>Grenade travels miles and does sick tricks before blowing you up
I have no fucking luck with those things.
I'm the poor fuck who dies to the physical grenade beaming him in the head before it explodes.
>enemy about to throw grenade
>kill him
>he drops live grenade at his feet
>blows up and kills his squad
bampu desu
Gas Masks should have been an optional thing you need to bring instead of something else.
As it is gas grenades are literally meaningless as anything but "now everyone just needs to push a button and the threat is completely neutralized" instead of the area denial it should have been.
Throwing Gas should have been a way to clear mooks out of an entrenched position, or keep them from effectively using certain terrain. throw a gas into the trench so that the advancing enemy can't take cover there, and are forced to detour around it or get shredded by your gun emplacement. Toss on into the pillbox so that enemy machinegunners are forced to retreat from the guns and doors until it clears.
Gas should have been an important mechanic, instead of the pointlessly trivial waste of time it actually is.
brought to you by the best game ever made
I think everyone that played DoD at a certain point found out it was better to 'cock' your nades by throwing them at your feet before picking them up and tossing them again. There's still enough people playing to fill a server or two surprisingly
what i really liked about stalkers grenades was the framentation grenades ACTUALLY were fragments. you tossed it and you could see the puffs of dust where each piece hit, and it was possible to be near one and NOT get hit because it wasnt just simply an area effect
>American image board
>"fuck off amerifat"
Kys you foreign scum
Payday 2
>Most grenades are DLC
>Grenades, at most, travel up to ten feet away from you
>float like they are made of styrofoam
>explosions sound like a dumpster lid closed shut real fast
I only now realized that it's called the N-bomb, its black, and it made you drop all your shit...
Well played rare, even funnier than banjo's dickland.
Gas grenades aren't too great in BF1 but Gas MORTARS are fucking fantastic.
Try 15 meters dumbshit
>grenades are deadly
>enemies can throw them with perfect accuracy from a mile away
not sure why there even was a nade indicator when you die a split second after seeing it
>heart of the reich on veteran
Yeah, the moment they put in grenades as a DLC I had a brief prophetic vision of what the game was going to become.
7.62 High Calibre, Rimworld with Combat Extended, Doom 2 with Hideous Destructor, Jagged Alliance 2 with the 1.13 mod and Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead, all handle grenades correctly with concussive explosions and shrapnel. Actual realism varies somewhat with some being slightly gamefied for the sake of gameplay, but they all do it pretty well.
>shoot grenade
>it explodes
What's reddit spacing?
A shit meme started by newfags who emigrated from reddit itself, because apparently hitting the enter key between thoughts, is "reddit."
Le Reddit boogieman
Escape from Tarkov
>tfw you keep throwing them on that first point in Strike at Karkand and get tons of kills
It's when you space your sentences with an empty line between them, like so.
Doing so is called "Reddit spacing", which is referring to the fact that you have to use this format to create a new line of text. Otherwise, the sentences will conjoin together without at least hitting the Enter key twice.
>standing directly out in the open or in a closed off dead end
the zone claims your retarded life
its possible but reallllly fucking rare, not to mention the millions of different types of nades there are
>Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead
>when you want to try this but you're too lazy to learn how to play a real roguelike
>no mention of csgo
Step it the fuck up, plebs. CSGO has objectively the best implementation of grenades of any game. They have an actual skill ceiling and floor, they have a meaningful cost so they're an integral part of the games economy, they all have very important roles to fill and tactical uses, and they all have an incredibly important impact on gameplay. No other game's grenades are even close to the level of CS.
nigga did you not play the game or something? There's plenty of wide open places where you might have a rock or two for cover, and not like it matters when the enemies might as well have airburst nades
depends on the caliber
>no cooking
pass
designated shitposter
nigga the games got scopes. you shouldnt need to cross any open areas BEFORE its littered with dead bodies
PUMBALA
Smokes and mollies don't need to be cooked, flashes can be "popped" with a level of skill, and hes have incredibly short fuses and don't need to be cooked to damage people
Cooking isn't what makes a grenade good anyway, it's the implementation and impact on gameplay and strategy
Try again battlefield shitter
neagro, the enemy throw range is the same as the rifle range
unless you're shooting from long enough range the enemy doens't respond to being hit, you stealth archer faggot
>game features mutilation
>grenade explodes in hand
>entire arm pulverized
>player remains an amputee until the round ends or until he respawns
>this affects accuracy + bleeding damage
Name ONE game. There's got to be atleast one that features this.
>Right?
Halo 1
>Wrong?
Every other video game
the grenade damage model in csgo sucks
three feet away and you take 1 damage or 0 damage and 1 armor damage (???????)
If you press Ctrl to throw grenades that game does grenades wrong.
>Grenade explodes in your hand
>You live
Yeah no
t. Never actually played csgo
I use them to cover my hip fire class. Force the enemy to fight you in hip fire and you'll always win
this and tribes 2
flares were an obvious choice but whiteouts were great for trolling
>neagro, the enemy throw range is the same as the rifle range
sure, but since your scoping ahead with a rifle scope, your presumably doing it from....cover. lad.
what, you think the he nade scaling out to nothing is good?
SS13
>rogue likes are hard to get into
Literally nothing else is like Dwarf Fortress, if you can play Diablo or Dark Souls, you can handle C:DDA, fuck you can even navigate the menus with the arrow keys and the popular tilesets are included in the most recent builds.
cdda isnt even that hard to play
grenades, and every other explosive weapon is fantastic in Squad
