I'm still working my way through the HW MSQ and I'm on the fight against Nidhogg on the Steps of Faith, but when I went in my game crashed and then it happened again mid-fight. I get some kind of dx11 driver error with a box that looks like it lists a bunch of drivers. Its happened a couple of times before, but not during anything important. What do I do.

I think a lot of people would. There's only so much you can do in FFXIV. It's only been three days and some people are already level 70 on RDM and SAM, even with all the endless disconnects.

A lot of people would switch over to DQX just because its a whole new game to play with three expansions worth of content. Would last at least a month. And based on my research, there's a lot more to do than just crafting and raiding in the end game.

The game went from under 300,000 players a day to well over 700,000 before Stormblood hit. So at the very least, it got old players to come back. Which is all they care about. A game like this makes money even if only 100,000 people are subbed. Getting up near a million, even if those people only sub for one month, means the game has already made more money than FFXV will in its lifetime. In just one month.

And with the servers constantly going down, people will play even longer. They won't just get through the content in 2 days. They'll have to play at least a week.

just deal with it, you're on balmung/gilg/a non dead server. its better than being on some shithole like diabolos with only 5k players. if you really had a problem with queues you'd take the free transfer off the meme servers.

Great game design. You could have just made the story cutscenes in the game engine instead of throwing me into a separate instance each time. But nah, that would ruin the 'cinematic feel' or some shit. So instead, I have to only play when peak hours are over.

Complaining about bugs and queue count and comparing it to actual game mechanics is dumb. You can't say a game is bad just because it has a bad launch because its not representative of the content itself.

No. You have to grind 50-60 in FATEs or PotD and it makes you want to kill yourself.

No class is bad. The game is made so every class can complete any content. The only people who get mad are min/max idiots who want to do extreme raids. And the real skill just comes from memorizing patterns of cones/aoes.

Healers do have a little more pressure put on them. But the real pressure is on Tanks. They have to do pretty much everything in a dungeon or instance aside from the final LB and a few adds.

WHM is fun. But I got bored playing SCH, even though its suppose to be 'better'.

You can however point out that an online game focused on story should be designed so that there isn't a massive glitch when trying to contact a routing server. And there's tons of times in the game where you have to do 4-6 cutscenes in a row. If just one of those fails, you're fucked.

Its a legitimate complaint. Especially when all this happened in the launch of 2.0 and is now repeating. They should have added more routing servers for this month to elevate the problem they knew would come. Instead, the fans are the ones who just have to deal with it until enough fans quit the game in frustration and the population evens out to its pre stormblood levels.

Yes, it is a game issue. Not a 'content' issue, but a game engine issue that affects content (as in, not being able to play it at all).
