Seriously, this series has stagnated ever since. Why would I play 7 when 3 through 6 are exactly the same game? There WERE drastic changes between 1, 2 and 3, why did they stop trying afterward?

It is. Its a real shame because the forza series is amazing. My brother has a bone and the latest entries and they're terrific. What I dont like about Horizon is that most of the cars are paid dlc.

You'd have a point if every motorsports "sim"-lite game was exactly the same, but there are differences between franchises, meaning there are improvements each game can make that isn't just a sliiiiiiight improvement every 2 years.

And like I said, the differences between Forza and Forza2 or from Forza2 to Forza3 are more of a leap than from Forza3 to fucking Forza6.
They are simply lazy now. The obligatory game they have to make every 2 years. No passion, no drive (heh).
This is just like Monster Hunter. Yeah we can pretend the gimmicks they added with each game are "steps forward", but they have basically done the same shit for a decade and Monster Hunter World is the first TRUE change.

Anyway go have fun with Forza7. I'll just play Forza3 and get the same experience anyway.

I simply don't see a reason to get excited over Forza7, 8 ,9, 10, etc. Just get 1 Forza game per gen and you're good to go.
I wish they switched their business model and extended the development time to 4 or 5 years, so that each entry would actually have a major impact/change and grab my interest. There is such a thing as franchise fatigue, they will inevitably alienate both casuals and hardcore fans with constant near-identical releases, just like GuitarHero, AssCreed or CoD.

Massive Forza fan here and can't see anything wrong with what you said. Personally there's enough of a graphical leap between 3 and 7 for me to be quite happy with buying the new game. Also windows 10 compat.

You don't need amazing assets when moving at incredibly HIHG SPEEDs, all you need is a good lighting engine and just the right amount of post-processing

I think the Bikes version is standalone and very cheap though.

Yeah PSVR is very cool, but I can't imagine spending over 400 hours playing it to match my "$1 per hour makes the purchase worth it" standard.

Luckily two of my friends got one so I get to play Driveclub, Rez, Thumper and SummerLesson whenever I visit. One of them has ResidentEvil7 but I'm too much of a pussy to play it on a TV, much less VR.

Can't wait for AceCombat7, GTS and Dreams to come next year and try them in VR, especially AC7, but also Dreams (considering I'm a drawfag/modeler, seems like an even more open-ended Zbrush)
