He meant that SMT IV Apocucklypse gargles balls.
That he was informing you that you had been deceased, and was not happy in doing so.
Nanashi died.
Best gameplay in the series, nigger
I mean he wasn't that displeased
He just wanted a godslayer
It has best Flynns though
Is edginess really the only thing SMT has to offer? No one ever says the gameplay is fun or anything. It's just "durr you get to kill friends and god xD"
Are all of you emo atheist 12 year olds or something?
I think the gameplay is fun
He wanted to make a friend by offering to revive him. He's a good guy.
Apocalypse had god tier gameplay and UI
See Not to mention people regularly talk about the gameplay, worldbuilding and music of the games.
>dagda ends up watching over humanity as a gesture of good will in the kill everyone ending
He's pretty based
Looking good, kid
The setting and atmosphere in IV and A is just so fucking good. My second favorite to Nocturne.
I agree with IV but the setting and atmosphere in A were shit, I don't know what you are talking about
I love the setting, but the atmosphere didn't grab me, especially in IV:A. I think SJ has the best atmosphere followed by Nocturne and SMT1. Haven't played 2 yet.
I meant that the world the game is set in is basically the Tokyo from IV.
A is far worse in the manner of story and characters.
IV and IV:A's settings is pretty weak, especially with the 3DS's shitty hardware. The OST pretty much carry the atmosphere. The older games did better with the limitations while IV and IV:A try to go beyond that and fail
Then again the soundtrack is really damn good. If SMT V's OST is just as good and on a console then it would be the GOAT
HAS THE BIG MAN EVER LOOKED SO GOOD?
>tfw the theme of this shitty dungeon doesn't leave my head
youtube.com
>FAIRY QUEEN FAIRY QUEEN
>SHOTGUN SHOTGUN
>tfw IV as my first SMT and didn't know about Tokyo
>They changed the VA for the bartender between IV and IV:A
This bugged me more than nozomi did
>Liked Nozomi in IV
>Wished she had a bigger role in teh game
>Get IV:A Nozomi and she's one for the worst party members
Fucking Monkey's paw.
>Banana slice homecake nigga fligga
>changed black market dealers line to some shittier line in IV:A
was legit pissed
Only Nocturnefags.
Kill one
Fuck one
Marry one
The combat in SMT games is pretty terrible. Exploration ranges from bland in Nocturne, to overly confusing and unrewarding in SJ, to nonexistent in SMTIV. Apoc improves upon things a bit but still suffers from the same mess of a story and shitty combat system that has plagued most of the series.
>tfw played the IVA undub so didn't notice it
Thank god, it would hurt my autism
>the music and artwork wasted on the 3DS
Annoys me to no end.
>not even Bailey voicing her because scheduling or the strike or she left weebshit
JUST
Yeah, this bugged the fuck out of me too. The old voice matched him perfectly.
Though Odin's, Dagda's and Kuarishna's VA were on point.
kill nozomi
fuck toki
marry asahi
Kill Pascal, fuck Nozomi, marry Toki
>all those ailments
>worst
Writing wise I agree, but in gameplay she make normal encounters a cake walk
marry asahi, fuck nozomi, kill toki
Marry shotgun
Fuck toki
Kill Pascal
Kill nozomi
Marry pascal
Fuck toki behind her because toki doesn't mind
Killing without reason is murder
Fucking is degenerate
But I'll marry and have intercourse with the degenerate monkey and metaphorically kill her desire to be with Flynn.
Nozomi would cuck the shit out of you, user.
>Karen Strassman not voicing Izanami like in P4
why? i mean she was already on the team
Was he in the right state of mind Sup Forums?
Toki is better
>one-shots hordes multiple times
That he wanted for you to break his asspussy
Flynn is shasha.
He just wanted to be rain and wind again then he killed everyone for it
That's because the series has been in a decline since Megami Ibunroku Persona, I didn't like press turn but at least it was unique; unfortunately it left us with a decade of the same gameplay over and over again. I hope the series starts moving in a new direction or goes back to its roots.
I don't give a shit about her
I want to marry her shotgun
>make sure you bring more macca next time
why is blackmarket dealers voice so good
Marry left, fuck right, middle is already dead
He probably has a rough childhood. His dad is nowhere to be seen and his mom make a copy of him
this is real, right?
Seriously his mom is a fucking dick
No wonder he wanted to kill her
Danu is the worst character in the game and the reason I picked massacre
>Mom I want us to be free from these God-like copy shells and become one with nature again.
>You're not my son anymore so I'll have the closest thing to a friend you have kill you and birth a new you
Dagda had a hard life.
They should have made Danu the chaos route, Dadga the law route and some in between where you do something else alongside a Polytheistic Alliance ending. The peace and anarchy endings felt really forced and had the same problems as Nocturne did where the only sensible choice is the most boring one.
>I didn't like press turn but at least it was unique
SMT in a nutshell pretty much, I remember people criticizing SJ because it didn't have press turn, as if it wasn't exactly the same shit anyways. Every SMT/DDS game is the same shit: stack overpowered buffs and debuffs, target weakness. Whether you get extra turns or extra damage is really irrelevant since it all boils down to the same outcome.
Kill Nozomi
Fuck dead Nozomi
Marry a resurrected and brainwashed Nozomi
Also press turns enables broken shit like passing turns
>dagda gives you a waifu so you don't go crazy like yhvh
Hes pretty based
Depends on which SMT considering it has much more spinoffs then just Persona (SMT itself is a spinoff if you want to go really far back). I personally love the concept of demon fusion and any SMT game that went heavy on it is on my list of favorites. It usually boils down to a few reoccurring mechanics and how they're presented.
>demon fusion
>demon negotiation
>alignment wars (not just plot, how alignment comes into gameplay, think demon co-op from SJ)
>dungeon crawling
And any game specific mechanic or gimmick that goes on top of that, like the demon auction from Devil Survivor 1 & 2 or smirking from the combat of the newer games.
SJ had really fucking awful dungeon design though. Just meme pitfalls, warp tiles and one-way doors everywhere. Really the only thing remotely clever in the entire game was the phase shifter.
SMTIV on the other hand didn't have any dungeon crawling at all save like three areas that were all hallway simulators anyways. I don't know if I'd peg that as a consistent element in the series
Posting SJ dungeons with what I said was a mistake, but dungeon crawling is a staple feature of SMT games. It just happens to be the one that's never consistent and tends to range from nonexistent to looking like the scribbling a madman drew on the wall in his own blood.
>dungeon crawling is a staple feature of SMT games
SMTIV didn't have dungeon crawling though, it just had linear overworld areas that let you wander around a bit. It's not at all comparable to SJ or even Nocturne
DENY THE WORLD
>to overly confusing and unrewarding in SJ
>tfw Sector Grus
It's like they took 90% of the cancer from dungeon crawling and put it all in one map.
Teleport tiles, pitfalls, one way doors, trap tiles, belt conveyors and not one but TWO phase shifter mazes, the only things that weren't there were rotating tiles and Wizardry IV tier puzzles and questions.
>Grus NG+ on the journey to Aliat and finding Demiurge
I hate reused assets the dungeon.
>rotating tiles
I remember these being in SMT 1/2
>Venomous Raga
Legit the hardest fight in SMT 4A, that move was broken as fuck. That one turn Hallelujah doesn't protect you would be the one that fucks you hard.
