Shit tier levels in otherwise okay games

Shit tier levels in otherwise okay games.

Unironically my favorite part.

Jesus christ, is that really what the game looks like?

This is actually my favorite part, neato mechanic and music for this section was beautiful .

I had to do that shit about 10 fucking times

Beautiful, isn't it?

Why do people have trouble with this? Crawl through the forest for two minutes and shoot a wolf in the head. That's it.

He is talking about the stealth section specifically, not the Lost Woods

It's okay when n-

This is in the lost woods. The not being able to see anything is kind of the point.

it's the fact that it's very slow, and if you get seen you have to do the 5 minutes of waiting all over again. It's not hard, but it's about as fun as sitting in a waiting room.

This

>it's a feature
You people are fucking ridiculous.

The lost woods is designed with limited visibility and cluttered vegetation so that you get lost, hence the name. If you've seen screenshots of any other location, you know this isn't the standard draw distance.

What the fuck are you talking about? Do you see console war shit in everything?

Any area where this is involved

Where did say anything about draw distance, you retarded nintenbro?

Actually on the second or third playthrough it became pretty obvious that once you get inside every floor is numbered so you can easily keep track of where the hell you are. 10 year old me fucking hated this place and spent hours wandering around.

Even though I had to redo that mission like 4 times I enjoyed it because the korok acts and sounds cute

You didn't say anything about anything specific, so I was guessing. Use your words unless you want to be misinterpreted.

...

Okay, then what were you critizising? Or better yet just leave since you obviously don't want to talk about the OP topic.

I liked it. I did it on horseback on my first try. He did almost get me when he ran back the first time, though.

The whole point of the area is to cause you to feel lost and disoriented.

>run immediately to the shrine after the korok gets there
>korok disappears after exiting shrine
>mfw it doesn't count as quest complete until the korok says something after standing still for 10 seconds

If you voyage too far off course in the lost woods, the fog thickens until you're warped to the beginning of the area.

The game definitely has some graphical masking of its limitations, but this heavy fog is intentional in this specific situation.

They did some pretty good shit with the stealth portion, honestly. Making him turn around was reasonably predictable, having him literally backtrack was a nice twist.

Then you get to the wolf part and assume that it's totally okay to save him running in with the sword...except it isn't. At least they let you kill the wolf with the bow, though.

This part was fun the first time, but i hated it more and more for every time i had to go back to that shithole.

This was easy tho. I had a harder time on lomei labyrinth island or doing the star puzzle for the first time.

Wolf part? What are you talking about? When I did this quest I followed the korok for a bit, then climbed a tree and glided over to the shrine, where he was already waiting.

>This was easy tho
Yeah OK but did you think it was bad or not?

I thought it was fun. The trial of wood was bulshit tho.

The first time I did this, I snuck into the shrine without talking to the Korok and I had to redo it. That was dumb.

It's really short though.

Diablo 2.

I don't mind act 2

Same

Not him but iirc he yells out that something is attacking him. If you go to protect him, you'll lose. You have to let him deal with it himself.

>Game has great level design and pacing
>Ruined by the most garbage level in any game ever

Dice was so close to doing something right for once

You can snipe the wolf with a bow, so long as you don't run into his line of sight to deal with it.

jesus christ

I didn't know. I just stayed put and didn't do anything. He wasn't too close either so I didn't even see the wolf or him when that part happened.
