yeah, I visit your moms store every night

All the time, they are my primary gaming retailer.

I've picked up so many rare games and bargains there they are fucking amazing.

>tfw walking out with a fucking stack of rare OG Xbox and PS2 games for under $10 per game.

Sometimes, i get the feeling a lot of the tech is stolen though.

Why do games bought from CeX smell like piss lads?

*mum

Yeah, got burnout paradise and RDR undead nightmare there, want it to get fight night champion so I can replace my lost disc

You seen the people who work there/visit?

beucase people piss on them

Fish and chippies > kebab

Bought a PS2 and some games recently from their online store. The console turned up the day after I ordered and all works fine. Luck of the draw on whether the games are good condition though

>go into Cex

>they are selling Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door for $85

Wait they have CeX in burgerland?

>buy pre owned console
>they send me the wrong cable
>email them so they can send another one (it takes two days for them to reply)
>send out a replacement which is SAME cable as the previous one

they're beyond incompetent and in store is not any better

I'm from Europe.

upvoted

redpill me on GAME and why it's better than CeX

>Buy PS3 game from Cex
>walk towards door to leave store
>stand in doorway of store and open case to check the disc
>it looks like someone ran sandpaper over it
>go to return it
>"dur hur you must've broken it"
>I didn't even leave the fucking store.

It's not

>Dollar sign

Where exactly fellow Eurocuck?

Yeah, quite a bit actually. I scourer the shelves of every console I own to find dirt cheap ones on my want list every time I go in
It's pot luck whether you get good service with CeX

My keyboard doesn't have a euro sign.

I have no idea how that company stays in business with their pricing and how limited their stock and variety of games are

I found Lost Odyssey and Shaddai there for really cheap.

CEX is good for cheapo Blurays and boxsets, not much else

Not him but they have Cex stores in Australia.

It's not, they keep new releases in stock and thats about it, if you want something day of release thats about it. They slash prices on old stock really quickly though so they're better in that regard. Wii U shit is great to buy from them now thanks to the switch they want to empty out stores of it all

pretty much everything there is stolen and the staff sell like piss

This happened when I was a kid. We were poor and had a SNES through most of the 64 era. A couple years before the announcement of the PS2/GC/XB my parents scraped together enough money to take us to a pawn shop to get a used N64. Best day ever until we got home and realized they gave us a PS1 video cable. My mom went back, swapped it for another, came back and it was the same god damn cable. Luckily SNES and 64 (and eventually GC) used the same video cable so it worked out in the end

>buy some games for my PS tripple
>hand them to the guy
>cant find theses disk lol
>leave with one game

dont forget the good, cheap games they keep for themselves or the hamplanets looking to trade in 15 season of the simpsons for £30

you must be from up north because the blu rays round here are priced high

dont' forget the mandatory girl with coloured hair

whatever happened to gamestation ?

i used to go to town as a kid just to go and play some free demos there

never been there. you should buy all your games online only.

no it looks cramped i wouldnt even wqalk into the store

and the fat greasy dude who smells of sweat and the one young enthusiastic guy who knows everything about games

pretty sure it was acquired by GAME and all the stores rebranded as GAME circa 2012

Blockbuster sold it to Game.

Yeah I bought mgs hd collection and mgs4 for like less then 10$

its just the smell of migrants selling stolen goods

>upvoting
>on Sup Forums

new?

why is game selling phones now? whats the point? also this heatwave is killing me

Nah Ireland lad

>not knowing how to upvote posts on Sup Forums
You're the only new one here buddy

Jesus where do you people live that your cex is that shitty?
I never had any of the problems you people have.

>Look for a PS4 controller second hand because they are £40
>In CEX they are £40

If you aren't going to give a discount whats the fucking point buying second hand.

buy fan

basically, if you need quick cash to score your next fix, you take some dvds to this store.

I pop into the CeX in Gateshead town centre every now and then. It's decent, but there's never anything that I actually want.

A lot of people who shop in places like CEX don't understand the concept of shopping around. They assume it must be cheaper because it's second hand and buy it anyway. CEX are just taking advantage of that.

The 11th most expensive place in the UK
CeX is just shit

and they give you 1p for them

CeX in Newcastle used to have a chubby goth girl with huge tits working there. Fancied the fuck out of her.

>also this heatwave is killing me
i am off to thailand in a few weeks so this heat is good practice

shame i sweat so much, even when its cold

Gamestation was the only good retail shop to exist and this extortionate piece of shit took over

I sold n64 paper Mario for £50 cash

birmingham

UK here
smells like shit

Yea, I go to the one in Boston sometimes.

>chubby goth
HNNNNGGGHHHH

how?

It actually felt like a proper game store. You had a downstairs area they called the old basement or something which was filled with old games

One of the three ones in Dublin used to too. Must be a company mandate

Let's get this over and done with
It's pronounced Keks with a hard C
inb4 pol

I hocked a load of dvds when they were actually giving good value on it, had enough to get a small laptop and Bose headphones. Pretty good. I also sold them a broken PS3 controller

Exactly my response. Helped that her cleavage was always on show. Fuck knows where she disappeared to.

Maybe it is just a UK thing, because my local cex in amsterdam is nothing like that hell even the people who work there look like they should work in some fashion store.

you put your name in the "Name" field and
cred card number below

i just used to call it c-e-x

>amsterdam
well there you are then

anyone here remember a gaming show on bravo where there was this woman with a lisp who presented reviews and all the news of the gaming world ? it was around the ps2 era

Applied to work at the one near Tottenham Court Road and still haven't had back from them yet.

How much of a loser do I have to be to be turned down by Cex

i remember a show called gamezilla which had these two urban presenters and kids on the show had to battle it out in a game one on one

and they had this guru guy that was a video game knowledge nerd

i wore a suit to my mcdonalds job and didnt get it

Ones in Cork vary. Sometimes you'll score a bunch of games for dirt cheap.
Gamecube games are ridiculous price. Why Until Dawn still isn't 20 quid I don't know.
Pretty sweet that a lot of the DVD's are like a euro.

No chubby goth girl though. So shit store desu.

Yes, I Bought Pokemon Moon from there, Box was broken but the game was still intact

>tfw turned down by CeX
Got an interview and they didn't even contact me back

GAME bought out GameStation long before they got rid of the brand. GameStation staff got better discount and stuff than GAME staff though. I was working at GAME over Christmas and the store discount is useless as buying stuff online was cheaper, and if I buy from ShopTo I usually get it early. They company pretty much exploit their staff

Phones make the most money in the store, that's why some one is always stood next to the phones so they can coerce people into buying. The profit margins are insane

Gsmezilla was kidkino, I remeber the two black guys commentating on a super monkey Ball competition

Went to 2 CeX's the other day, one in fulham and the other in hammersmith and BOTH STORES HAD A FUCKING SEGA SATURN IN THEM!!!!!! The hammersmith shop had it CIB for £110 and they were selling Shining of the holy ark for £70. saw more saturns than n64s that day which unless your japanese is pretty unheard of.

like this?

no like this

Bought a couple PS2 games there. Prices seemed OK, but pretty much the average price you'd find online for them, so I'd be surprised if anyone ever finds a genuine deal there. Everything seemed to be in good shape and I was able to get games with manuals intact so I guess it's okay since you have the items infront of you to assess the condition.

Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of bootlegs get by the people who work there .

check in cash converters as consoles tend to crop up there from time to time

...

no. their prices are always jacked compared to Game preowned (and other preowned game stores, too)

and yeah they smell like piss and sweat

also they seem to have a 'neckbeard only' employment policy. what's up with that?

smelled like piss long before the migrants got here
