I don't like Dragon Quest at all but I reckon that voice acting killed 80% of japanese games and 90% of JRPGs for me.

That's why I'm developing a turn based JRPG without voices. Of course it's amateur tier but at least it's not gay tumblr as fuck like Undertale, even if it's less impressive technically it has a badass main character and cool mechanics.
