Launched in japan in february and has just under 4m downloads there alone. It's incredibly popular, and has a ton of popular bands that made songs for it, including some apparently super famous one that made a new song for the new expansion for it called my first story.

The game becomes rather methodical at 3rd area and to progress you have to grind materials from the golden chests and have lot resources for the bosses

That's part of the shit they're changing, said they want to make grind much less severe, and have the traveling shop be a lot more accessible and sell much better metals at lower levels so you won't have to wait 2 or 3 days to maybe buy a single metal for gear you want to upgrade.

But there's still gonna be a ton of that even if they put that in. But yeah it's getting tons of branded events in japan, the US version is kind of getting left in the dust which is sad but we're getting the GR2 event at least.

The grind gets super fucking ridiculous, but at the same time it's pretty great how much reasonable game you get for free. The first 20 floors are really enjoyable all things considered and it's a cool design for a free to play game.
