Nah it'll be shit

Eh, depends really. I was mainly looking to pick up Binding of Isaac Rebirth, to which it just got a sale where it was at 5 bucks. So I've already got that, don't know what else to look forward to. I'll have to see what the deals are like, but considering the last two years' sales I doubt it will be anything special.

shill detected

When?

Thursday

HOW MANY MORE HOURS UNTIL START?

BUT TODAY IS SUMMER!?!?

when do we even find out what's on sale

I still have shitloads of games from previous sales so I'll try to avoid buying anything.

I miss having games that i wanted to buy and looking forward to this.

I ran out of games to buy basically 4 years ago
... Maybe I'll finally get around to getting the talos principle

It'll be shit like always

Your image is out of date.

it's going to be shit but i'll probably buy that game that's 90 off for like 5 dollars

>Talking to a mate last night
>Convinced him to buy the Borderlands: Game of the Year edition on steam
>$50USD = $65 AUD
>He doesn't know about the sale
>Forgot to tell him about the sale
>Already played 3 hours

Can't wait to see his reaction when he see's it on sale

I hope you gift me tons of games this time, you stingy cheap bastards.
You have no excuse given the discounts.

They've gotten rid of the daily deals and shit where you could wait for a better deal by coming back to the store each day. So now, if you see something you want you just buy it or don't. That's it. The whole process is much less interesting and doesn't produce the same excitement that comes from hoping that one game you want comes up on a flash sale.

So yeah, I'll check to see what the sales are (to which they're often just small discounts) during the first day then move on. I used to get super excited for these sales but now I just check what's there and that's it. It's a bummer.

delet

cringe

Where did everything go so wrong?

It's probably going to be shit, I'm not gonna be buying unless it's a good sale.

Lets hope its not true..

Oh boy, I can't wait for up to 30% off on shitty copy/paste games with no effort put into them.

It's a Steam sale all year round thanks to CD key sites and resellers. I'm all for more consumer protection with the refund system but the sales have just been shit since they came into effect

>no daily deals
>no flash sales
>no fun events except for some obligatory shitty summer trading cards

witcher 3 goty -75% is this finally the year?

>Have same list of 10 games I always look for sales
>Sales each year are the exact same
>33% off
>20% off
>Bundle with DLC that is core to the game that doesn't get a discount because reasons/Bundle is more expensive than buying them individually
>No sales for some games because the developers just don't feel like it

It's the same thing every year. I'll likely pick up some random cheap indie game, play it for a few hours, then stop. Otherwise I'll look at my wishlist, see that none of the discounts go above 40%, then wait till next year.

I'd say 75% for base game, 50% for expansions is more realistic

same

then I realize I bought all the games I wanted and never play them

sauce?

I thought it was today

I just want Total Warhammer to be 20$ or else no buy at all.

Also there aren't any games worth buying recently all the E3 have been shit for years.

>he didn't get it for $12
Im hoping dishonored 2 or prey are less than $20. Both sold like shit and Prey in particular made a huge loss for Bethesda. They'll probably sell it for pennies to make as many quick sales of it as possible

Stop it, user. It's enough.

Both dishonored 2 and prey are cracked. You realize that right?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denuvo

No

>tfw getting paid on bills week

i'm 6000 in credit card debt

i want to buy stuff but something tells me i need to take care of this first

Oh yeah, Hmmm.... Honestly though since gazelle games fucked over their ratio system I'm more comfortable with paying $15 to have a game in my online library than having to keep 30-40gb of my Hdd hostage for the next 6 months so I don't get banned. And fuck downloading from the pirate bay

Yes, take care of it. Eat nothing but rice and chicken for the next 6 months. Eat at homeless shelters for fucks sake. Sell everything in your possession worth a few hundred dollars or more and replace it with cheaper stuff. Move into your parents place or get another roommate to reduce rent. Rip up your card now so you don't feel tempted to spend money you don't have. You're poor now, and once you get used to it you will be happy again.

I probably need to add some more money to my steam wallet, but I get the feeling that most things won't be a high enough % discount to make buying them worth it.

More like bummer sale.

Not him but I actually eat at homeless shelters from time to time. Especially at Christian holidays due to the great treatment. It saves a lot of money. I also steal WiFi from my neighbor and charge huge battery packs at the library/college so that I can keep using my Laptop at home without using any electricity.

I feel like a fucking Jew at times though but It just feels so fucking bad to waste money.

>30 games on my wishlist ready to be purged

valve better make those discounts steep

I cant wait for the store to crash and be inaccessible for 2 hours

>Turns out Total War Warhammer is already cracked

No reason to buy anything from steam then since Prey,Dishonored 2 and Warhammer already got cracked.

Steam sales have sucked for the last few years

New Steam user here. Just built my PC this past January. Thus, I have never experienced one of these Steam Sales.

What sort of games could I expect to see? Is it mostly shovelware bullshit, or do they throw some actual good shit in there?

Also, been kinda thinking about Xcom 2. Thoughts? Think it'll be on sale?

It's mostly AAA bullshit. Don't bother if you actually like unique indie games.

You can pirate all the AAA games you want now that you own a gaming PC. All your games are now for free senpai

I dont see cain in this picture.

Sit down and let me tell you a boring story about me be 900 years old.

The only thing I'm hoping for is a few dollars off Prey.

I don't really want anything, maybe it's time to finally start playing through that huge backlog I have been building over the years.

Pretty much every game on steam other than the newest ones will be on sale, with some sales being better than others.

Used to be great deals, flash sales, daily deals and so forth, it was even possible to get free games, now it's just the same shitty sale that lasts a week.

>What sort of games could I expect to see?
Pretty much anything except new releases
>Xcom 2
That will probably be on sale, yes. Probably not 50% off, but who knows.

That is literally the day I get paid.

I'll probably buy off my list that goes at least 30% off

Yeah, I'm ready. I don't expect for everything on my list to have a steep discount but every bit helps.

oh boy I can't wait for a 4 year old game to only go on 33% sale

If the only game you are looking forward to is the talos principal you know something is wrong

GET FUCKING TALOS PRINCIPLE RIGHT NOW.

Can I beg here?
I'm $2 shy of being able to afford the Darkest Dungeon DLC.

my girlfriend wants this shitty early access game so i'm hoping it goes on sale so i don't have to waste more than ten bucks on a piece of broken unfinished garbage.

personally my wishlist is all games that aren't out yet. some don't even have release dates or prices on steam. i already own all the games i want to play and don't play them anyway, so this sale means nothing to me.

My entire wish list

I feel like it will be disappointing like last year. Or maybe I already own everything that's great and has a really deep discount.

Anyone suggest some weeb games? Maybe I'll branch out and try some new stuff this time.

PSA

If you have a backlog don't buy games, until you finish your backlog.

End of PSA

Give a try to them if they are 50-75% off
Atelier Sophie, Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars.

Get Talos and the Road to Gehenna DLC when they go 75% off during the sale. You won't regret it.

I wish it started today.

Can it? Can it? Please?

if they were good games

they wouldn't be on my backlog

Thanks, will do

so you are not ready for it being shit?
So you ARE ready for it should it, counter your assumption, turn out good?

Styx is great

I only purchase games if they go $4.99 or lower, wish me luck this year.

steamcommunity.com/id/untappedlands
Just gonna put this here in hopes of this happening.
If it does, I'll add you & gift you something of the same or similar value ASAP.

Everybody got that for 12$ from Humble Monthly m8. You should always check every month for what they are offering. I got both Xcom 2 and TW:W for 12$ each cuz of that.

but you still bought them you retard, so you obviously should not let a retard spend your money.

XCOM 2 and Talos are great. Prey is decent, but I'd wait until it's at least 50% off. Vanquish is good, but it's a bit too short for the price they are asking

I don't have any money
My PC fried
No I'm not

Here are my thoughts. Sales have been so shit the past few years that I actually welcome the "everything has its max discount the whole sale" thing. In the past, we'd get flash and daily sales that were 75%-95% off. But since even those were shitty 10%-33% off bullshit, I'd rather just be able to buy everything the first day and be done with it.

take off quantum break of the list (you think you want that game, but you really dont), and put hollow knight 2nd or 3rd,

Any played pic related? I've heard some good things about it and I love old good time loop stuff

Nobody say nothing about RE4, dont get that one, just emulate, it runs like shit in pc

this.

95% discounts for AAA titles or fuck off gabe

I remember when I would buy shit loads of games on steam sales. Now I buy maybe one or two.

This.

that's bs and you know it

Well that's the problem isn't it, you already bought most of the games you were interested in.

>Now I buy maybe one or two.
me too and sometimes I even refund those, send help.

same here, but I also remember not playing more than half an hour in the most of them

is dishonored 2 any decent?

Problem is, the sale prices are higher now than when they would be deeply discounted. A sale that was mostly worthless before is now completely worthless and not exciting.

Bad move on Valve's part. JCPenney removed the psychological factor of sales in a similar way and lost a ton of business.

Don't worry, once you actually acquire money you'll appreciate sales more.

there is demo for dishonored 2
you can download that shit if you decide to buy it you just continue
demo is first 3 missions

only because you already own all the games you really want

I still anxiously wait for every big steam sale even though I know they will never be good as they were before.

>tfw that game you've been saving for is on flash sale

That's the entire point, genius. On top of that, sale prices aren't as cheap as they used to be.

only will get Firewatch if it is on a heavy discount though but it looks comfy
