Only Nintendo console without an exclusive Zelda

>only Nintendo console without an exclusive Zelda
>Didn't even last 5 years
>Every exclusive game is getting ported elsewhere
>online will be probably be shut down when Switch online becomes paid
>Doesn't even have 10 good exclusives
Why did anyone even buy one of these? Is Wii U the worst console ever made?

>Is Wii U the worst console ever made?
PS3.

PS3 still has exclusives, Wii U doesn't

Let me know when you can play Metal Gear Solid 4 and Drakengard 3 on another system, faggot

You can't possibly be that retarded.

WiiU is the easiest consoles to pirate ever. You pay 200 bucks for the whole catalog of games + strong N64 emulation and perfect 4 gen emulation.

>Also picked up a few wii games I missed (Bit.Trip collection, Tatusnoko vs Capcom, etc) because of true backwards compatibility
>vWii allows for Gamecube games to be played. Something the Switch will NEVER be able to handle
>Pro controller is top tier
>WiiU Gamepad surprisingly comfortable and great for games in bed
>Gamecube adapter is the best peripheral of all time, doubles as an easy ticket to playing Dolphin with the correct controllers solo or multiplayer
>Entire Zelda library available besides ALBW and the CDI games
>The only console currently capable of good DS emulation because of the touch screen
>Easy as fuck to hack, just have to connect to the internet
>Best options options to expand memory on a Nintendo console (3rd party external powered hard drive vs SD card on Switch and 3DS) I added two terabytes of storage to my WiiU, most I can add to a switch is a few hundred gigs, maybe less if Nintendo's SD card support is as bad as it was on the 3DS

Not liking the WiiU is a sure sign of poor tastes in video games. Pity is the only word I can find to describe how I feel about you, OP/

It has more good exclusives than ps3 and ps4 combined.

I'm just being honest. If I would choose the worst console of all time I'd pick PS3 every time. Let's assume you would buy every console at launch, right? That's 600$ and no games for years. Arguably didn't have much to play in its entire lifespan, which is why everyone pushed for Wii60 instead. I bought a Wii U and I just traded it for a Switch. Wii U wasn't the best console in the world but it still shat all over the PS3.

Ya niggas remember all the
>why haven't you bought a wii u thread?
Good times...

The Wii U didn't get hacked until right at the end of its life, and the only games that were coming out after it got hacked were literal trash games like Paper Mario Color Splash and Star Fox Zero.
Your advice is useless to anyone who owned a Wii U while it was relevant

>b-but you can hack it to play wii, gc, emus etc
or you could use a wii for a fraction of the cost

Your argument is invalid.

No, it doesn't.
Here comes the part where you count TPHD and WWHD as Wii U games, but won't count remasters on PS4.
Not even close dude, PS3 at the end of its life had way more to play than Wii U at the end of its life
Funniest part is that now all the drones are pretending they never bought a Wii U, and actively shitting on people who did, just to shill the Switch.

>only Nintendo console without an exclusive Zelda
well well, lesson learned I hope?

Come on dude, if you tried to use DQ Heroes or some shit to defend the PS4 you would get laughed at. Why would you use Hyrule Warriords of all things? Its shit, just like all musous.
Besides, that game is on 3DS, its not exclusive.

>PS3 at the end of its life had way more to play than Wii U at the end of its life
Same as the PS4, it has multiplats that's better played on PC. I honestly don't understand why anyone even buys Sony consoles anymore. Playstation was great, PS2 was awesome. PS3 and PS4 was just embarrassing to watch.

You bought every WiiU game as they came out? You got all of the games that rose to hilarious prices like Game and Wario, Devils Third, and Lego City for awhile?

Mario Tennis Ultra Smash is an alright Tennis game but it's a shit tennis game for 60 dollars. NES Remix is similarly neat but I wouldn't want to exchange money for it. WiiU has a bunch of games like that.

>f you tried to use DQ Heroes or some shit to defend the PS4 you would get laughed at
Probably because it's also on PC and plays better there.
>Besides, that game is on 3DS, its not exclusive.
It's a nonfunctional eye rape port. If you have a N3ds it's ""technically"" functional but still pure eyerape.

>perfect 4 gen emulation
Can anyone explain to me why everyone here is suddenly numbering console generations? Who the fuck is keeping count? What are gen 1 and gen 2?

Cut the chase and just tell me which dipshit youtuber is popularizing the term so I know what kind of children I'm dealing with.

Because Hyrule Warriors is one of my favourite games of the 8th generation of consoles. The 3DS version looks like ass, so I'd rather not.

Switch doesn't have an exclusive Zelda either.

I bought one fairly early because Sm4sh was on the horizon. Also I had never played Wind Waker so I got that particular bundle.

Had some gems. Splatoon was a nice surprise and I had a lot of fun co-oping 3D World.

Overall a disappointment, but not the worst ever. Also I got $200 in trade in value for it towards my Switch, so it served a valuable role in the end.

I enjoyed the Wii U. Sue me.
>more worthwhile exclusives than the PS4 & Xbone combined
>hackable, so you can just pirate the games
>backwards compatible with Wii
>backwards compatible with Gamecube after hacking
>emulation and custom N64 Virtual Console
>free online
I don't get the hate, honestly. PC + Wii U gives you access to the most games. PC + PS4 and PC + Xbone are largely redundant.

>Game and Wario, Devils Third, and Lego City
Game and Wario is just mediocre, Devil's Third is complete shit, and Lego City was bought by a lot of people because in its early life it was one of the only good exclusives. I remember a lot of people on Sup Forums recommending it.
>WiiU has a bunch of games like that
It really doesn't, Tennis Ultra Smash and NES Remix aren't worth playing even for free
Again, can you play MGS4 on PC? How about Drakengard 3 or TLOU?
Still, if you have to use a musou of all things to defend the Wii U, then that's just sad.
If a fucking musou is considered a top 10 game, you know the library is pure garbage.
It'll get one before the end of its life.

I bought it for Xenoblade Chronicles X, and even though the switch had been released for quite some time, there is still no word on a switch port of that game.

Console generations have been around forever, user. There is always an uptick in discussion on it when a new console is released.

>MGS4 on PC? How about Drakengard 3 or TLOU?

>If a fucking musou is considered a top 10 game, you know the library is pure garbage.
That's top 10 of the entire generation, not just top 10 on the Wii U.
But then again, the 8th gen is also one of the worst.

>It'll get one before the end of its life.

Or it'll be cross-platform with the next console, like TP and BotW.

Meant to reply to

It was a pretty bad console tbqh, i don't really care for nintendo games, the only time i ever bought nintendo products was when they had monster hunter. The N3DS was def worth alone playing 4U, generation was a shit but that's because no G rank, and 4U shat all over it.

>>more worthwhile exclusives than the PS4 & Xbone combined
No, this isn't fucking true.
you hypocrites will go around touting the remasters on Wii U, but when someone does the same for PS4 or Xbox the response "DOESN'T COUNT!!!!"
>>hackable, so you can just pirate the games
Again, not until the end of its life. Its useless to anyone who bought it while relevant
>>backwards compatible with Wii
Be honest, you never played a single Wii disc on your Wii U and you know it.
Those games are all better than fucking Hyrule Warriors, how can you laugh at those games while unironically praising Hyrule Warriors?
No, it isn't. You're just biased
Gravity Rush and Infamous Second Son are way better than Hyrule Warriors

>Still, if you have to use a musou of all things to defend the Wii U, then that's just sad.
Musou is a largely popular genre regardless of your emotions on it. A musou for one of the most popular series in the history of video games is a worthwhile offering in the library.

HW is nowhere near the top ten. Lel. WiiU haters are always so pathetic.

I'd personally put this list of way more than 10 games above Hyrule Warriors

Gen 1 is literally Pong.
Gen 2 is the Atari 2600, Intellivision, and Colecovision.

Essentially the first two gens are archaic. Compared to the 3rd gen (NES & Sega Master System), they're caveman drawings.

>Easy to emulate on superior PC hardware

>Again, can you play MGS4 on PC? How about Drakengard 3 or TLOU?
Literally nothing I'd touch with a a ten foot pole besides maybe Drakengard

>>Wooly World
>>BOTW
>>Pokken
None of these are exclusive. I'll let you count MK8 because it was exclusive for 3 years, and the Mario Maker port doesn't have online. But Woolly World and Pokken didn't even get to be exclusive for a year before being ported.
