That isn't how placeholder prices work. Why would they start randomly at $100 dummy? RDR2, battlefront 2, detroit, spiderman, anthem, all have standard price placeholders. It's only Mario Odyssey, Pokken Deluxe, Switch Kirby, Metroid Prime 4 and Switch Yoshi that have $100 "placeholders".

Also, every single retailer has them all at $100.

WB and Nintendo are both jews, so WB opted for the smallest cart Nintendo sold for their game and made it need 13 GB of space (almost half of the 32GB the Switch has) on the HDD for a patch just to make the game PLAYABLE.

See how media buying price increase around E3? That's just because manufacturers/publishers are fighting to occupy all the available space. Likewise during the holiday season.

Marketing is all about competition, if your competitors are spending X millions for a campaign, you are indirectly forced to something similar amount as well (provided it's for a similar sized project).

Yes you'll always find games that succeeded with lower marketing budgets (or games that failed despite the high marketing budget), but those are more exception that the rules. Marketing is just that effective and people just spend their money on w/e gets the most exposure (i.e. see how mobile garbage have 80%+ of their budget dedicated to marketing in order to be successful).
