Define dethrone
>have to practise for something simple as backdashing
>have to practise electrics for 5 hours before every session
Whens Dragonball?
Because the Rage System is casual
CAPCOM ALWAYS WINS BAYEBEEEE
>can't ewgf
Play one of the 30 other characters
>can't kbd
Get gud
>playing a Mishima as your first character
Lol
Why cant SF dethrone melee?
>arts are unsafe as fuck on
>drives require practice to be actually good and while safe on block you just need to block another move or
>No longer gives double damage
>can't save meter while destroying someone to open up the second/third round with a super and take away 30% health
I dunno seems ok to me
Seems pretty "dethroned" if you ask me. No one is playing SFV and everyone's playing Tekken.
I have never once said any fighting game is going to "dethrone" Street Fighter. It sales it probably already topped SFV, but I know that's not what you meant.
The reason is the the fgc was basically founded on Street Fighter and most of them are battered housewives to Capcom who refuses to leave their man no matter how terrible they become. Lot of these people it's their job to play SFV, but countless people keep bashing Capcom in general because of SFV and now MVCI. They're surviving on brand loyalty alone and Capcbros are large in number. It really saddens me since I think every single fighter out there deserves more attention than SFV.
Check the evo numbers literally deader that injustice
post them.
Yeah no one wanta to play a game that gooks have a two year head start on there's no point.
At least SFV is so random you can get out of pools.
Anyone who's been exposed to more technical, more dynamic fighting games will quickly pass on tekken. Other top fighters, namely Street Fighter, KoF and MK/Injustice have advanced impressively in their latest installments; but the relic that is tekken just can't seem to evolve, furthermore many combos can be done simply by hitting 1-button, and the nearly "instant-kill" rage art moves are just laughably broken. Instead of a supplying a proper fighting engine, matches in T7 seem to rely heavily on "who can get their rage move off first". So many elements of the gameplay don't even require any sort of skill. In my book, slow motion over and over again also gets old very quickly. And in the end, it's more of a novelty or gimmick rather than an actual, thought-out fighting game mechanic. But hey, the casual crowd will be pleased!
If you want something a little more "button-masher-friendly," tekken might be your cup of tea.... Key word, might.
...
Oops
No I'm just interested in seeing where/when the numbers are from. The game only came out the week before last.
Literally noone is playing tekken the game is already dead, it couldn't even last a month
i have not seen a single framedrop in tekken. Stop lying bitch
I like how you didn't post the actual numbers. ~8k during peak hours vs SFV 1k during peak hours.
And this is just Steam. Tekken is murdering on consoles at the moment.
If you count China KOF beats it daily
EVO 2017 Entrants leaked numbers
sfv: 1955
smash4: 1031
melee: 1002
rev2: 632
injustice2: 560
tekken7: 560
tekkucks cucked AGAIN
yeah... tekken's movement at advanced play kinda looks disgusting but it's one of those things where if you removed it you'd be dumbing down the game
Mortal Kombat and Injustice already dethroned it. The battered housewives in the FGC will ever give up Street Fighter regardless though, but for most other people it's dead as fuck. Capcom can't even beat Dragonball licensed games anymore.
>dumbing down
>when VF doesn't have it and it's still higher IQ
Hell fucking bloody roar is more complex than tekken
>no source
Ok, bub.
This was posted before the game even released. If the CEO tourney the past weekend was anything to judge by, the actual EVO turnout should be quite sizeable.
>Implyig SFV wasnt dead on arrival
Capcbros, accept reality already
>Tekken 6 instead of 7
That bad huh?
wat
It's already dethroned though.
The best players are Korean and the same two players are in Grand FInals of every event so no hype.
>DoA 5
>2.7k all time peak
Looks like the game was DOA
Honestly after this installment Tekken deserves to be 2nd place.
Harada and Namco only gives a shit about Arcade gook money and the fact that they refuse to update the game with balance patches is bullshit.
2 years and SS tier characters STILL EXIST.
>Inb4 TIERS REALLY DON'T MATTER THOUGH
Your full of shit fuck off.
t.tekkenfag since tekken revolution
They already patched it the home version is the dark resurrection of T7
It took THAT long.
Tekken is already doing better than SF did in it's first 2 years (kek)
on another note,
just finished my artwork for my fightstick
r8?
SF is literally sponsored into the tourney scene by capcom and has high paid shills like mr. wizard who refuse to let the game die due to revenue.
Too be fair the PC support was just awful team ninja doesn't give a fuck about PC
Lmao, not bad
>t.tekkenfag since tekken revolution
subtle. I like it
All non soul caliber 3d fighters are shit, guilty gear should be the one to dethrone sf but it's too hard for casuals
>non soul caliber 3d fighters are shit,
Lmao
SC fags need to be culled
i like how some people
>like this dude
try so hard to sound intelligent and show they know it all, but their comment is so unoriginal and not true its laughable.
Did you even play T7? Or tried to get better?
This is one of the only 3D fighting games out there and when going to battle online you need to understand so many aspects such as spacing, sidestepping, counter hit, dash bait, juggling, blocking, throw countering and many more.
Tekken is way more complicated than people tend to think. Maybe because you managed to beat another noob friend of yours while button mashing or they beat you.
lel
it's copypasta.
>it has go down 10,000 in just 2 weeks
>no crossplay
How long will it last?
Hello kappa, you're replying to pasta
LMAO
COULDN'T EVEN LAST 30 DAYS
DEAD
E
A
D
>you need to understand so many aspects such as spacing, sidestepping, counter hit, dash bait, juggling, blocking, throw countering
The fact you think these are somehow unique to tekken and not part of every fighting game to ever exist just goes to show how utterly clueless tekken shitter are.
>Tekken is way more complicated than people tend to think.
Its not, its really not, in fact its one of if not the least complex fighting games on the market.
HOLD ME, KAPPABROS
Not to mention some characters (Paul) can do 40% damage with one punch, and others are slow as molasses and do like 15 damage if they're even lucky enough to land the hit. Game feels terribly unbalanced in favor of fast and hard hitters while everyone else just gets steamrolled.
WTF IT WAS /OUR/ TURN
what fighting game should one play, then?
...
...
any way to adjust health in versus mode?
...
crap graphics
also SFV dethroned itself, if you aren't playing GG while waiting for DBZ you're a tool
Will it last through Christmas?
Playin some Tekken 7 ranked matched
Doin some Alisa combo strings
Twitchtv/hatsugi
Unlikley, unless DLC can somehow save it.
Tag 2 died before its DLC was released.
There's plenty of characters for beginners.
Literally get good.
Tekken would sell more if you could see Asuka's butthole through a thong.
>been practicing a character for like crazy
>practice mode doing combo strings until can do them consistently
>looking up good moves/launchers for my character
>practicing backdashing, getting up properly, etc
>testing myself against CPU (Hard), in treasure mode
>like 4-30 or something online, getting 0-3'd constantly, can barely put up a fight in some matches because getting rushed down so hard
I literally don't understand, there must be some kind of fundamental thing I'm missing. I am not this bad at video games, I feel like I'm fucking braindead or something.
Reminder tekken 7 is "kusoge" (literally shit game) full of infinite and touch of death combos
youtube.com
youtube.com
youtube.com
there's more to it than combos
I got caught in that Eliza combo at the wall :(
Do you play ranked?
you can easily stomp in the first tiers if you know 5-10 moves from your character's move list.
Learning the game means learning almost every character alongside yours. Even a top tier can get stomped by Giga ass if he doesn't know the character.
Not him but I played Kazumi for like 2 hours of ranked last night and could get out of 1st dan. I had no problem doing her moves, I just got trounced.
Murrifats are too dumb to cling on to anything that isnt SF
Tekken is still king in the rest of the relevant world
kek
No one cares about kekken its casual garbage and its already dying.
tekken always was and always will be irrelevant.
normies
>gookland
>relevant
In 3D fighters, there's a huge psychological aspect to it that you're not going to gain any experience with from playing the computer. You're constantly being read by your opponent and you have to constantly be doing the same. He's going to force his way into the gaps in your defense and as soon as he finds out what works, he's going to exploit that until you have a counter response.
>playing online
>all of the people that play guys reject battles
>all of the people that play girls accept
I don't get it. I'm not even good at this game.
>no tutorial
>lots of legacy input shit that isn't even mentioned in the game
>backdash cancelling
doesn't take a genius to improve this game but they want the exact same game every time
literally just make dashing the same style input as sidestepping and let you cancel your backdash with another backdash without crouching
I was starting to notice something similar. I don't get what it is with Dragunov players and not even accepting matches.
>Lacks any complexity or depth
>Extremely homogenized cast
>Heavy amount of slow down on the PS4 version
>THIRTEEN yes count them 13 frames on input lag
>No cross platform play
>No rollback netcode
>Complete rehash of the previous games
>Retarded comeback mechanics rewarding the losing player with an almost instant kill free super
>Worst cast out of any tekken game
>"Newcomers" are just reskinned old characters
>Dumbed down mechanics (tekken was already a very dumbed down game) such as 1 button throw techs
>Backrolling on the ground to escape will now result in you being launched
>No widescreen support
>Denuvo
>Literal 1 button infinites
Tekken is shit and theres little wonder why people are dropping the game in droves.
You can cancel a backdash with any input that isn't back.
you can cherry pick every fighting game like this to make it look like shit
Thats longer then most newfags to the series.
wrong
neutral doesn't cancel it
can't cancel with another backdash input
0-2 so far in ranked, the game pity promoted me from beginner
Neutral is not an input. It's a lack of an input.
And if "back" won't cancel a backdash, why would "back, back"? You goon.
fuck off shill
>Neutral is not an input. It's a lack of an input.
lol
>why would "back, back"? You goon.
oh idk, maybe good game design? same reason you backdash differently from walking backward
Good lord. Where did you even come from
has anyone tried it with the steamcontroller?
from the land where people expect better inputs than b,b,db,b,n,b in order to double backdash
make a thread asking why this game isn't that popular and I give you an answer
and tekken literally requires neutral in moves. it's an input
literally proven wrong. and b,n,b isn't the same input as back
The whole KBD issue could easily be fixed with a stamina meter. In MKX you can double backdash instantly but it depletes your stamina that you have to let refill. That's fair, it's enough to get you out of a jam, but not too much that you can just abuse it.
>NRS shit in Tekken
No thanks
T7 already has casualized supers to one button. At least MK makes you press both shoulder buttons to do an x-ray.
>what happened to VF?
>WTF is a bloody roar?
thought so.
STFU!
yeah, I think I'm just going to return this game. apparently I have an IQ of 80 and am not capable of playing fighting games at all.
Because tekken is a shallow game with no depth or complexity made for casuals who will abandon the game for the next flavor of the month, its never had any lasting or competitive appeal.
>it's not bad because it's not dead!
LITTERLY an SFV tier defense
KEK
