What are some JRPGs with rifle/musket users? Preferably cute ones.
What are some JRPGs with rifle/musket users? Preferably cute ones
Bloodborne, Etrian Odeyssey, Valkyria Chronicle Series.
I love the valkyria grils!
never has there been a game so good with characters so bad and a story so unhinged.
Crossbow's >Muskets
Undeniable truth.
Yeah, crossbows are much better than muskets due to the rapid fire, quicker reload time and effectiveness.
I was hoping for some lesser known stuff, maybe SRPGs.
I prefer matchlocks and the such.
They're also the ultimate silent weapon, and the Crossbow bolt is quite versatile, can be fitted to have shrapnel explosives, fiery tipped or poisonous bolts. Musket fags only have an inaccurate, heavy and smoking piece of shit that takes half a decade to reload.
Bolt action isn't Muskets you shit.
What are you even saying nigger? The rifle the girl is holding is not even a bolt action.
That cartridge is way too modern for muskets you faggot
Eruca in Radiant Historia
That's an M1, who's the goober now? I'm just posting cute girls with guns, I'm too lazy to go digging for the few musket pictures I have that aren't Mami. Don't you worry, I'm certified hasguns.
THE CUTEST
Yeah, it's kind of a shame most fantasy rpg worlds do not include early firearms. Both Elder Scrolls and the Witcher exist in technological parallels where firearms should exist, but don't for no reason. It always annoys me when I say firearms should be added in x series and some normie tells me it's unrealistic, fuck you, an Arquebus works perfectly fine in your fantasy setting, dumb motherfucker.
These are joke posts right?
She is clearly holding an M1 Garand, a semi-automatic rifle, not a bolt action.
BoF4
Granado Espada, its a mmo though.
>Fantasy setting involves miniature explosives or magical explosions
>Fucking niggers haven't decided to use them to propel balls or bolts at people
LET'S TAKE THE CROSSBOW AND JUST STOP WHEN IT COMES TO ADVANCING OUR RANGED WEAPONRY
FFT
How is it a joke? An inaccurate, heavy piece of shit that takes way too long to reload and easily jams over a quick and reasonable crossbow that can be pretty deadly if your good enough with it, also it easily breaks armor.
I liked Penelo's animation for firing muskets, its cute.
The 16th century was so wonderful in all the variety of weapons and armor on the field, I don't see why developers shy away from it.
Very few fantasy settings get this right, Warhammer Fantasy is about the only thing I can think of that adds in proper weapons for time period it is trying to emulate.
>muh Tolkien fantasy tropes
What's the point in making slow reloading firearms when medieval warfare already works on it's own? Balista's, explosive trebuchets and volley of Arrow's work well enough in massacring lots of enemies.
Moogles are cute, and FFTA/FFTA2 were pretty good.
Crossbows of that time take way too long to reload as well and pack much less of a punch, regular muskets aren't that innacurate up to a hundred yards or so and rifled muskets can be very accurate at much longer ranges.
Final Fantasy VII
Sniper CR + Deathblow + Added Cut on Vincent is primo
>proper weapons for it's time period
>entire lines of riflemen and pikemen turned into red paste after a charge from a Greenskin Waaagh
Hmm...
>big gun
>short hair
>maid outfit
>tit window
Holy fuck if she was from anything but a MMO I might have been sold. She at least has porn right?
This.
Those armor and weapons styles are far more 17th century, but I wholeheartedly agree with you. Transitional periods have always been my favorite eras from military history and everything from longbows to heavy cannons were used in the 1500s. Plus the armor that was crafted in the era was so immaculate and beautiful, I usually play games just for including armor that emulates the period of the Renaissance.
>maybe SRPGs.
Not quite the same but she uses guns. From Luminous Arc 2.
I've been thinking about it since the remake was announced. What's the tech level in RH?
Made the classic "16th century = 1600s" brainfart, my bad.
that fucking game still exists? I remember buying a physical copy of it years ago
Tech level? You mean how advanced the technology is in game? Kind of like FFVI where they have machienery but still kind of in a fantasy medieval setting.
Didn't this actually die
Also neither Crossbows or bows aren't silent btw.
lol, unless your using a fucking arbalest, which takes just as long to reload as an early arqubus, you are not going to be able to defeat the armor of the time unless you are firing from extremely close range. Early firearms packed a hell of a wallop and when they're fired from formations hundreds strong, the effect was downright devastating. Their is a reason why armies switched away from crossbows friend.
not a musket my dude.
I think there is a private server up.
its on steam right now. apparently somebody bought it or something
fag
you watch too many youtube "experts"
Yeah that's obvious, OP was clearly just posting generic anime girls with guns, but you just had to be that guy and be like "hurdur not a musket lol dasa bolt action! i'm obviously a firearms expert". However in the end, you were made a fool of, as people actually knowledgeable about guns pointed out that the girl in the drawing was holding an M1 Garand which is in fact not a bolt action.
The setting and presentation is elder god tier, characters are hit and miss, everything else is sub-par.
>there exist those that are so gay they prefer the new one
Short hair > long hair always
I like the new artstyle but shorter was better.
I've never played Archaic Sealed Heat, but your pic reminded me of the MC.
>Archaic Sealed Heat
Never heard of that, looks cool.
...
...
Let's hope bannerlord gets a quality mod for the period, if not a full blown expansion some day.
I wanna fire her musket
...
Bravely Second has a rifle class and its pretty good
If we're going off SMT shit...
...
...
Is that the girl from that one Twisted Metal-esque mmo from the times of yore?
>fantasy game with guns
>take 9 years to reload because of "realism" and "balance"
>bow can shoot 5 arrows at once like legolas
I hate this shit
>be crossbow
>gets replaced by muskets
That character design looks awful though.
This
wasn't it the one they censored for no reason?
Oh right, now I remember hearing about that. Muh injun cultural appropriation. I just usually hate it when gun users are portrayed as le ebin wild west cowboys instead of professional soldiers and the like.
Mordimort from Stella Glow
Although her gun basic attacks are pathetically weak compared to her magic and the shota musket user does way more damage with his gun too.
i wonder why more fantasy rpgs don't feature a musket wielding class, they'd fit in well enough i think
>Shota musket user
I'm interested.
Summon Night 6 has a character with a cool revolver rifle but the gameplay doesn't look great.
...
>ywn be c.1500 effay
>you are not going to be able to defeat the armor of the time unless you are firing from extremely close range
Same can be said about firearms. Plate armor was effectively bullet-proof at the time.
No, that's completely wrong. Europeans wouldn't have invested so much in firearms if they could still be stopped by metal plate. Even the simplest largebore matchlocks would knock a hole straight through a breastplate.
Plate armor and firearms started spreading in Europe in approximately the same time period, with plate even coming in a bit late. Plate being bullet-proof was the standard that armor was held up to at the time.
This, pretty much.
The characters are fun, and the setting is done well, but the gameplay is xcom with less strategy.
There is a JRPG with that. Cute girls and muskets. I forgot the name. I think it has "Time" somewhere in the title, and that it was released around the same time as Code of Princess, or at least announced.
