Why was the entire Zora segment of Breath of the Wild so incredible?
>Meet best boy Sidon >Walk down a treacherous path that includes a forest and a mountain, all while raining >Swim up a waterfall to get to a mountain just to steal some arrows like a dick >Ride on best boy's back and shoot away ice at high speed >Experience a really creative dungeon that surprisingly isn't fucking tedious despite being a water-themed one >Get really good healing power that will save you more times than you can count
Seriously, were the other parts (Rito especially) even fucking trying?
God damn, all you guys just slobber on Sidon's dick. He wasn't THAT great. Then again, none of the main cast was, desu. Same with Kass.
Charles Bell
I love the zora part but he is undoubtedly the weakest part of it imo.
Juan Campbell
>hating on kass and sidon kys
Aaron Cooper
I fucked up by going here first. Anyone else?
Cameron Brooks
>double dicks eww
Noah Powell
I like the Zora, Gerudo, and Goron parts equally. They're all so much fun.
I wish the Rito could've been developed a bit more though. Make it feel like a real journey to reach their village and have to do a bunch of cool stuff just to get to the dungeon.
Jacob Sanders
I thought I fucked up too, but the further I get from my playthrough I realize the whole experience of the game was enough to make it all a pleasant memory. I'd do the order different the second time around for hard mode. I'm doing Rito first, it'll be 10x easier to get places.
Jordan Murphy
> that feel when you pull up to your first stable and realize there are qt3.14s in this game
blessed moments
Lucas Roberts
It is what I tried first but I was playing on someone elses console and probably won't ever finish it on their switch. Where are you supposed to go first?
Parker Anderson
>Managed to bypass the whole meeting and encounters with Sidon >Didn't even experience the "treacherous path" until after I beat Ganon
Samuel Kelly
So many games play the "haughty, arrogant prince" angle that Sidon felt like a genuinely really fucking cool and nice guy, which he is, especially in contrast with a lot of the other male zora that more or less hate Link's guts
Hudson Cox
you can really do any one first, although they definitely aim you eastward towards kakariko/hateno through initial quests
Isaiah Rodriguez
How man of you did the Zora place first?
>Zora >Gerudo >Goron > Burd
Eli Bennett
Did you climb your way from South Akkala to Zora Village? Otherwise it's pretty hard to miss considering that he's in like 5 places next to Hyrule Field guiding you to Zora's Domain.
Aiden Hill
Elephant then Bird then Lizard then Camel. The Bird was by far the easiest to get to, get into and solve.
Noah Taylor
How the fuck?
Christian Anderson
I did >fish >birds >rocks >sand amazons
Zora is always most likely to end up being people's first since it's the closest divine beast to Kakariko/Hateno and because of all the Zora in the Lanayru Wetlands telling you to go help them.
Michael Russell
Basically. Ended up entering Zora's domain via climbing up the bigass waterfall to the north of it.
Connor Reed
swap Goron and Bird and that's my order
Caleb Ward
Which one will be the best man at Link's wedding?
Tyler Fisher
Wedding won't happen. Link won't be aroused by Zelda, as usual
Adam Campbell
I went counterclockwise. >zora >goron >rito >gerudo
I thought getting into the dungeon was fun for most of them, but I hated the riding in the circle to not get struck by lightning part. I felt like I couldnt get link to sand surf in a straight line.
Liam Powell
Zelda knew she had no chance against Mipha. She probably cheered internally when she died.
Angel Taylor
I actually think most people did the Zora domain first, you're almost quietly pushed there if you're following the breadcrumbs of the main quest early on.
Josiah James
>>>>>>>>>>>>shoot away ice at high speed >Not using cryosis
Joseph Young
Yeah that's why thought I was supposed to go there first. On the way to the city I was thinking every dungeon questline is gonna be this tough.
Boy was I disappointed. Still fun though.
Henry White
Holy crap people are defending the Zodra design? It was the jar-jar world from the Phantom Menace mixed with literal fish-heads. An F for creativity nintendo, shiiiiit.
Mason Johnson
I did the path without fighting once, just running
Evan Walker
>shooting ice >Not using the "hammer" function of cryonics
I think they even tell you that
Ayden Williams
The amazing thing about this game is than given a problem, there are multiple ways to solve it.
Tyler Williams
Ice is free Arrows are not
Kys
Jeremiah Young
>really creative dungeon that surprisingly isn't fucking tedious >dungeon
dude it was like 3 puzzles... come on... eveything else i agree with though, it also helps that its the first beast most players experience
Landon Parker
Its designed to be the first dungeon you complete and so they felt like making it story driven to ease you into the game.
Brody Russell
>tfw you go to the desert first and everything is worse by comparison
Jason Young
Anyone has a map of the line they make you follow in hero mode?
Kayden Lopez
I just used melee weapons because I didn't think to use anything else. It wasn't too hard, but harder than it would've been otherwise.
Aiden Morales
>not having fun shooting the ice by predicting movement >he feels superior because he saved himself 10 arrows
Kevin Turner
I think he feels superior because he's not retarded.
Jordan Harris
shooting is way more fun fag
Justin Morris
>Wasting resources is fun
I could not live with my Jew self afterwards Not fun
>Keep seeing Zora everywhere telling me to go to their town >Meet Sidon a few times along a treacherous path that feels like a decent accomplishment to get to the end of >Fight a Lynel to prove my worth >Carry on to the big fight and dungeon, etc.
>Stumble on Rito town >Talk to people, have to go to a guy close by >He takes me straight to the big fight and dungeon
It took a few hours to get through one and felt like a real adventure, then the next one is just "oh yeah, guess I'll take you to the thing now" almost immediately.
Austin Martinez
At least Vah Naboris and Vah Rudania had pretty good prequests. Vah Ruta is still the best one.
Alexander Edwards
Rito is clearly the least thought out area in the game. Dammed if it isn't one of the best looking locations though.
Adrian Kelly
Man am I the only one who did Thunderblight first
Jacob Rivera
Nah. I did Gerudo, then Zora, then Rito, then Goron.
So can any Switch players comment how well it runs? I'm in a weird spot cause I got it for Wii-U not thinking I'd pick up a Switch anytime soon but I got one for my birthday and now questioning which one to play BoTW DLC on.
I didn't hate it on Wii-U but it definitely had noticeable fps drops in areas.
John Williams
>Hating on the double dicks
Aaron Harris
It runs fairly well and FPS dips usually happen when large explosions hit near you which isn't really an issue since if you get hit by a large explosion you'll usually get hit and be put in the rolling animation anyways. Also there's this weird thing I've noticed where the game will sometimes freeze if you attack Black Moblins, don't know what the cause of that is though.

How are the controls? I was using the pro controller the whole time on Wii-U and it felt great except the gyro segments with gamepad. Are the joycons obnoxious? Debating if I want to spring $70 for the new Pro Controller. Wii-U Pro Controller is perfection
Andrew Gomez
Double dick is sparkle dog tier
Ryan Harris
Depend who the husband is
Nicholas Nguyen
The Switch comes with a grip that basically turns the two joycon's into one controller. Said controller is actually fairly decent and works perfectly with BoTW. The Pro Controller is entirely optional so don't buy it unless you really want to spend $70 on a controller.
Luis Anderson
This. Zelda doesn't fall into his taste of women.
Ryan Scott
Yeah I knew about the grip just didn't know if it was shitty or not, thanks user! Might just end up rebuying it and picking up Arms/Splatoon 2 until Mario Odyssey/Xenoblade 2.
Michael Bailey
Kass is the best character in the entire game, I love him more than anyone!
He's strong, charming, talented, admirable, and adorable!
He's the best Husbando in all of vidya!
Nathan Wilson
>just got the Switch and this game recently, been playing >having fun >eventually finish Hateno Lab stuff and don't know where to go >wander aimlessly all over the southern regions >eventually find out how to enable quest markers on the map for the divine beasts >realize I basically screwed around in places I hardly had any business being in, when I probably would have gone north from the lab if I knew where this shit was at sooner >already close to Gerudo Desert, say fuck it and go there for my first Divine Beast Well this is the fun of adventure, I suppose. I hope I didn't fuck up going here first. This weather is fucking killing me jesus christ.
Alexander Anderson
Breath of the Wild is magical for the first chunk of time that you just wander aimlessly, setting goals in that game is fucking impossible because its so easy and effortless to get sidetracked and wind up in a completely different location.
Jackson Rogers
If you know how to dodge you should be good.
Carter Powell
>tfw sidon will never be your loving and supporting bf (best friend haha i'm not gay or anything haha)
David Bell
Between me and my dad playing it, I've certainly noticed that. There's times where either of us are just fucking dumbfounded on what the hell we should even do from our current spot, and then when we finally do figure something out, it's fucking impossible to actually stay on task. It's also fun between us because we only look at each other play occasionally and whenever we do, we're just getting into completely different shit the other of us hasn't yet. Fuck.
Owen Brooks
>actually wandering through the desert >hey I think I'll go near the giant Divine Beast, what's the worst that will happen they reset my position and hit me with a "it's too dangerous to approach!" text prompt?
>Vah Naboris's face when
Zachary Scott
It really is a fantastic sandbox and its amazing how varied peoples playstyles are. I got the shiekah armor asap and went around sneakstriking everything while my friend was obsessed with bombs.
Ian Bell
Went there first too. Also thought you had to kill the lynel, so I scoured for better weapons.
Was the most fun I had in this game.
Austin Long
I sure didn't make that mistake. What I DID do however... >running through the desert >oh hey an oasis settlement >ooh but there's a shrine over there and some enemy camp, I'll just go over and do that and then hit up that oasis >sandstorm comes in >whatever, I'm pretty sure I can keep my bearings while fighting >I didn't >never find the shrine >endlessly wander all the fuck over, never escaping the sandstorm >temperature keeps getting too hot and too cold and I didn't have anything to deal with the heat >die three times before finally wandering back to the oasis area by complete fucking happenstance
Jacob Martin
>tfw sidon will never be there for you to fill you will love and support and dick
Christian Parker
>didn't find Hateno Village until I already completed 3 divine beasts
