Add "muh skins" to this list and you pretty much have it.
there's was a mass shillwave for GO
even today there are some blockages when searching for 1.6
also a bigger community and more community servers.
Probably because players can be rewarded over time played in GO vs 1.6. Skins, loot boxes, etc. give people a reason to play. Especially when those items can them be sold/traded for things the player might be more interested in, so even if you play with friends once in awhile there is still more insensitive to play GO than 1.6
Is this Battetoads?
Just got in to CS, whats wrong with GO? Its the only one I've ever played.
1.6 is full of elitist autismos, GO is full of tryhard autismos, but GO looks pretty.
there's nothing wrong with GO, most of the shit flinging is from 1.6 autists that can't accept change and shitters on Sup Forums that are either silvers or never touched cs in their life and just like to shitpost popular things
+1
It's alive.
More guns are good/viable.
Patches shake up the meta which is good for me as a casual player.
Because people don't play for fun anymore, they play for cosmetics and other garbage.
this is kind of true. go look up the player numbers before and after cosmetics. the playerbase grew 10 times practically overnight when skins were added.
Because they watered it down into an experience even more casual than cod
why do people prefer GO to Source?
>smallest hitboxes
>toughest sprays
>"watered down"
lol ok
Source was kind of ass, it really is 1.6 vs. GO
because it's "updated" version with superior graphics and alot of faster/easier way to play ranked games which brings more players and thus more competition.
there's literally no one playing 1.6 at all
im a stuck college poorfag who just got a shitty thinkpad and 1.6 is more or less the only kind of game i can actually play
sadboys
Valve kiddies are fucking retards? Who would have thought?
>csgo
>toughest sprays
It's true. You rarely see 1.6 grade spraydowns. Maybe it's the small hitcapsules fault, I dunno, but it's easier to spray in 1.6. Not even to mention Source.
action quake 2 is king
I don't understand how you can shoot the 1.6 AK and then the CSGO AK and actually say this.
csgo is garbage for cowadoody esports shitters. pistols and smg's are hilariously broken because valve want forcebuys to win 50% of the time.
if 1.6 had matchmaking, people would play it.
1.6 AK feels much easier to shoot. Doesn't even have first shot inaccuracy!
Sorry for the reddit link, but here's some fundamental differences. It's a 2014 post but I don't think there've been any significant changes to that: reddit.com
