Morrowind.
I also like to pretend the Hobbit movies don't exist.
It's a tie between FO2 and NV, but I prefer NV.
Baldur's Gate II
nice bait
My nigga.
But Daggerfall seems to have more content.
Besides, BGII, PST and Ultima Underworld.
Gothic 2 - The Night of the Raven. And the Witcher 3
Fuck me if I know. Game of life, I guess.
FFX
Icewind dale 1
Da Witcha Tres
Epic world to explore (perfect for when high) and a story like GoT
Shan megoomy tensai Nocturne
Gothic 2
Chrono Trigger.
Arcanum.
But honestly, there's a good 10 or so RPG's that would be contenders, it's a pretty fucking great genre to be a fan of.
The Hobbit movies could be fun if someone would edit out all the filler from them, including the battle scenes.
Morrowind
Record of Lodoss War Advent of Cardice
NetHack
Arcanum,Baldur's gate,KOTOR 2,Gothic 2 or Morrowind
Alpha protocol
HA HA HA HA HA HA
West?
Baldur's gate saga. Basically 4 games telling one epic adventure. They don't make them like that anymore.
Finally got around to playing New Vegas and holy fuck they made every single buildpath AWESOME. It's like the game is a pathfinder GM who just lets people use busted homebrew stuff 24/7, and I don't even have mods yet. I underestimated this game for WAY too long.
Hands down easily the best RPG ever made for pure exploring and building.
Other then that I might go with the Mass Effect trilogy. Can't forget about Baldur's Gate, obviously. I couldn't get into KOTOR's combat, but watching a playthrough while working was fun.
Now that I think about it, the RPG genre probably has some of the better games. And we're not even talking about JRPGs like Fire Emblem if you're into that stuff.
Deus Ex
>edit out ALL the filler
You would end up with a youtube-tier short film, probably not even 10 minutes worth of content as there's just THAT much. All 3 Hobbit movies are filler content for Lord of the Rings anyway.
Morrowind is objectively the best RPG ever made
borefest
I'm too patrician for this board
fallout 1 and 2
ay caramba
life, all others are just copys
>4 games
>Baldur's Gate Trilogy
>ToB not being shit
wizardry 7
Dude hold/chaos/charm lmao
Knights of the Old Republic II
It's a shame there was so much wrong with the Hobbit films. What was done well - the Dwarves singing Over the Misty Mountains, showing the degeneration of the men of Laketown, the sheer scale of Smaug and the Lonely Mountain - was great.
I'll never forgive them for cutting out my favourite of Bilbo's boasts, though.
This looks really good. Thanks, user.
You're mom
>2 games is a trilogy
I never understood this
Kotor 2
Deus Ex
as open world ? morrowind
as story and other stuff i think baldur's gate ( for story and stuff) , torment etc old rpg were punishing . now they are easy as fuk
the patrician choice
Unironially Vanilla WoW. Nothing like spending 25 hours in the Barrens as a Shaman.
Classic: Planescape: Torment + Fallout 1
ARPG: Gothic 2 NotR + TES III Morrowind
Hack n Slash: Diablo + Diablo 2 LoD
Shooter hybrids: System Shock 2 + neo Fallouts (3 and NV)
MMORPG: WoW before september 2009 (+ Hellgate: London if you don't mind a crossbreed between MMO and H'n'S)
JRPG: nothing. Because they all suck.
