they dont sexualize the cars enough

also manual fags ruin it for everyone

...

Only good racing games were f-zero and wipeout.
That's the main reason.

Too realistic. At least that's what I think, and why I don't like them.
Girl's hair looks broken.

Well, physics engines are still a bit floaty. It's really hard to get right though. Also driving a car makes a lot of sounds and vibrations that are not done in most of them. Graphics are usually stellar, if a bit too glossy or shiny. Just get these first two parts right and you have the perfect racing game. The only problem is that the gameplay, driving a vehicle, is fucking boring as shit. Nothing beats the real thing, and unlike fantasy games where you kill dragons and marry lolis, with the exception of marrying lolis if you are islam, you can do that shit

I really liked Project Cars and Driveclub and both reminded me of PGR which was amazing. Fuck all of you people, you just don't get it

>manual fags
explain, burger

you grew up

they aren't lego racers

This.

Automatics are the casual gamers of the car world.

If you can't learn to drive a car outside of push this pedal to go and this one to stop you should just get your mum to drive you.

Who is this chongle bongle

Where is Star Wars Episode 1 Racer. You revived the franchise so bring back the best game from this universe.

Proper skill is being sidelined for items and RNG bullshit.

Fast RMX is great though

What's the best post-NFSU2 racing game?
Preferably something you can drift well in.

lmao, how fucking hard are you trying to defend that your shit country can't produce a good automatic transmission?

It's literally an extra unnecessary step considering that automatic transmissions shift faster, and smarter than you possibly could. The same case with video games. Why do I want to press l1 and r1 on a controller when any street racing car won't have those options because they're obsolete.

theres literally no good reason not to use an automatic in games. all thats to it are more button presses and has literally nothing in common with real cars.

because you are a stupid little kid inside who likes fast colorful things
not that there's something wrong with that

They keep trying to make the games realistic and that just makes them spin around in circles and do nothing right if you were playing an older normal one

this. fucking play some good racing games and stop complaining, OP

How's the difficulty? I hear it's impossible but that could just be casuals saying that

not op, but could you please answer

not him but I gave up
played through wipeout hd no problem

STOP POSTING BEATRIX!

Could I ask what was so hard? curious. probably gonna buy anyway but I want to know

ai is too fast
make one mistake and you are done

It's in the base concept: driving around the same track over and over. You just finally realized how pointless it is.

>NFSU2
I'm not sure when that came out but what racing games do you like? maybe somebody can recommend something based off that

actual race car driver here

it's because there is no feedback in a thousand different ways

you aren't sitting in the seat
you don't feel the vibrations
you aren't actually working against resistance when doing things like steering
no smell
sound isn't realistic

and worst of all the racing itself is a joke

the last meaningful change to the medium was making the cars look vaguely realistic around the ps2 era and there is a gap from there to probably some sort of neural vr or something

it will otherwise just feel like a soulless imitation

I figured that might be the case. I still wanna try it out so I'll probably buy it but I do hope they fix the AI. I hear they were supposed to release multiple content updates after release but it looks like they only got to update #1 and then stopped talking about it. Wonder if the game is dead or the devs are just really busy. I mean, it's been a few months

You'd probably like the Forza Horizon series

Sacrificed fun for cinematic.

Fuck AAA games

pic related?

I've been recommended that before, maybe I should actually give it a try.
How's the drifting in those games?

It needs more synthwave. - youtube.com/watch?v=y0OmkdDPGAM

>tfw Power Drive 2000 release never

looking for sim or arcade?

> What's the best post-NFSU2 racing game?
NFS:MW? NFS:Nitro was also pretty good, but that was on the Wii, and so, no one played it.

more sim than arcade, but not full autismo sims.

GRID 1, maybe?
Gran Turismo if you're on console, I dunno if the newer ones are any good though

Tough, but it's a case of either being really fucking good or a casual. If you practice enough and pick the best vehicle (Rochedale) then you'll never have problems, save for a couple high ranks.

Not the best but I'd say on par or better with NFSU 2. You get better drifting in normal Forza. Best drifting ever in a game imo I think was in NFS: Pro Street

Buy Assetto Corsa and all the DLC you stupid little cunt.
And no, we won't fix all the stupid shit that annoys you because fuck you.

Asetto Corsa or Forza Horizon?
Pros and Cons?

I've never played AC but it probably has more realistic driving and what not. Forza Horizon has open world where you can just cruise and play around and better graphics in its latest installment. Also, newer cars maybe

AC: good if you want a nice sim but don't want to drop hundreds of dollars on iRacing
FH: good if you want a modern Project Gotham Racing not many people seem to be aware that many people from the PGR team are working on the FH series

I really miss PGR 2 and 3

FH2 really felt like I'm playing PGR2 again. Play it if you haven't already.

GRID is a full-on arcade bullshit. Good game nonetheless!
Try Grid Autosport for semblance of simulation

I like AC and I have it but it sucks because there is no controller support of any kind for a pause button so you literally have to use the keyboard as well as your controller/wheel. It's kind of flat and dull but pretty realistic.

Forza 7 tho

Actually skipped that one and only plalyed FH 1 and 3 as I have no XBONE. Might check it out eventually if I buy a scorpio

use joytokey to map escape to a button on your wheel/controller
>It's kind of flat and dull but pretty realistic.
well, all simulations are a bit dry
the fun comes from challenging yourself and trying to get better lap times
figuring out the best car setups can also be fun
and playing online via SRS

Forza Horizon is on pc, right?
Where the hell can I get it?
Origin.

I shouldn't have to is the point.

Like I said, I don't regret buying it, but it really could use a little more polish

M$ store.

F7 is coming to PC also so I'm waiting for that.

Only the third one is, on Windows store (only Windows 10)

it is really unpolished
they should work on the horrible interface instead of doing DLC after DLC
luckily there is Content Manager, solves many problems the original launcher has because those Italians are so fucking lazy

>only on windows 10
fuck me

My thoughts exactly. I'm not buying any more cars until it feels more like a game and less like an alpha build

Have you beat the entire game?

manual fags are the DUDE WEED of driving

Why not just learn to drive a horse so you can show others how really hipster you are. We have cars that drive them selves you hipster reee.

why don't you just dual boot instead of crying about w10

because I'm a retard

Ummm no, sweetie

MW 2005 is god tier and Carbon was pretty fun, with an extra side of Rice-a-roni.
If you are looking for easy drift, try MW 2013 or Rivals, that is if any body is still playing them...

Yeah. AI is naturally unfair bullshit. They'll speed their vehicles up drastically if you're ahead. But even if with it cheating I still landed at least 2nd place on every cup.

Hero mode plays like F-Zero, where you have a health meter. If you crash once you gotta start over.

Interesting. Curious to see what it plays like. Last question. You know anything about the content updates? As I mentioned here it seems like the devs have gone silent. Can I still expect new content for the game or have they moved on?

I'm playing Dirt 4 right now and it's pretty fucking intense.

Ever play NFS: The Run?
Not saying playing it, but I will castrate myself if this is not the most unfair AI.

No clue. At the very least they gave us Time Trial (which should be a standard in every racing game), but I don't have any idea if or when they'd release more content.

Given that it's only $20 and one of the better high-speed racing games I've played, I'm not complaining.

I don't usually play games with realistic cars sans Gran Turismo. I do like unfair horseshit though, so I'll give it a look at.

fair enough. will probably wait a few months before buying. Maybe sooner if they release new content. Honestly wish nintendo would bring fzero back though

Yeah all motorsport irl use automatic gearboxes right? Seriously shut the fuck up you know nothing. Go play Mario kart or nfs fucking idiot.

The only motorsports I can think of (off the top of my head) using a fully manual transmission is NASCAR and drag racing. Most others use clutchless manuals.

Because none of these modern racers are Burnout.

the makers of the crash mode just released a new game, that's just crash mode, if you are interested
don't remember the name though
