offense =/= attack
defense =/= defend

Offense/defense refers to play style. Do you play offensively or defensively? Do you hang back or do you get into the heat of the battle? Do you initiate the fight or do you wait for the enemy to do it

Attack/defend refers to actual game modes. Do you attack an objective or do you defend it.

You can defend it in an offensive way, or you can attack it in a defensive way.

Mei is fucking great on attack. Torb/bastion/orissa/reinhardt? Just put a wall in their face and run to the point, not to mention she's one of the best 1v1 heroes, so if you get a pick and move to the point she can go ahead and stop people coming back from spawn.

A good widow and hanzo are valuable in any game mode, they're just rare.

Bastion is a good pick if you stopped the enemy pushing a payload and only need to get it to the first point.

Torb and junk on attack are trash though, I agree there.

Widow is good on attack though, just as good as she is on defense, bastion can be good in plat on down with the right comp, and junk and hanzo can be good if they are skilled players. Mei and torb are almost always bad on attack though.

Better to play her on attack, where an enemy would have to push through YOUR advancing front line and abandon their objective to come get you. You basically deny the whole area the enemies are meant to be defending and no one can do shit about it. Any hero with less than 250 HP is permanently trapped in fox holes while your team walks onto the point.

Why not remove Hanzo from the game entirely? There are people who are level 40+ who do not know how to play anyone else other than Hanzo, Widow (and sometimes pretend to play Ana) but are always terrible.

If the enemy can't aim you can place a turret on the cart and have a rein protecting it. You win chances are pretty high. Also Torb's damage isn't bad.

Mei can win fights with her ult. If the enemy is trying to protect the cart a few inches before the finish, Mei's ult is the best to win the round.
>Bastion
The same as Torb's turret. He is a decent pick in lower tiers.
>Widow
A god tier widow can clear the enemy team. For example on same maps she is even the best pick for attack.
>Hanzo
The same as Widow. Just watch Wraxu and you ask yourself why you should play any other hero at all.
>Junk
Junk is a tricky one. On lower tiers he can be a god tier pick, but against a good Pharah Junk is always trash.

Fucken this. Whatever team is set up on the payload is defending it. Sure defend team starts off on the defense, but just because you are the defense doesn't mean you won't have to go on the attack.
