Ben's major flaw is definitely the numbers he assigns to his reviews. Whether they're a little too high or a little too low, the number never quite lines up with his words... but definitely never line up with his feelings a week later.

I think the podcast idea in itself is good, he's just not able to moderate properly and set a good pace, the weekly games opinions could make up for that new Don't Skip thing they made only 2 videos about, they'd just need to keep opinions under 15 minutes and they could re-upload those bits for the deserving games as Don't Skip...

Since I started following GT like 5 months before it closed and didn't watch all of their shows I never got to see Elyse, I've only seen her in the E3 2015 reaction videos and she seemed to be faking anything she did, was my impression correct or was she legit ?

I think it's a mix of friendly jabs and being locked up in a small room for hours and hours.

It's because the email called them out on giving easy high scores for those kinds of games. Then they got all triggered about it saying those games didn't look alike at all. Except for Jones.

Fact is that those games clearly share the same formula. Just like Ubisoft has a formula that is apparent in most their games, so too do Sony's first party games nowadays. They're all these cinematic experiences, something the new GoW has also become.

Which is clear from the fact that all talking points about that game are about the story, the relationship to his son, and the fact that there aren't any cuts in the game (just like some movies!). No one is talking about the actual gameplay. A big change from previous GoW titles that had such trophies as Bros Before Hoes.

I get the impression that they get along well.

They don't review games because they are creative types, not analytical. They don't know how to talk about games without being deliberately cute about it somehow.

Sometimes. Bloodworth has quite a few moments where he calls people out or people call him out, making things uncomfortable. Ian as well. And Damiani and Kyle clash constantly.

Frame trap should really have one criticism email every podcast to at least make it interesting.

Kyle is just weird. He likes or dislikes games for extremely dumb reasons, and that can change within a minute.
Like with the Arms stream yesterday he was salty as fuck because he was getting pummelled and instantly hated the game. Then as the stream went on he started suddenly really enjoying it. Same with that Star Trek VR game.

Ian's taste is just really narrow and he barely plays games anyway. He talks more about the games his roommate plays than the ones he himself plays.
