Reloading can make a game more challenging.

But Doom was never designed with reloading in mind. It fucks with the game flow and doesn't match up with being a fast twitchy shooter.

It's not really disabled, what marky boy did was add an option that makes you skip the reload animation and do a swift reload action that lasts less than a single frame, instantly reloading your gun.

in older versions of Brutal Doom, the gibs were registered as projectiles so they'd fly around, but they also damaged the player and other monsters. In Brutal Doom 64 Mark made those lens flares coming off the ceiling lights into monsters so it caused weirdness with the gameplay.

Also in older versions of Brutal Doom, enabling auto aim made you automatically aim for gibs, he's fixed it now but yeah, oh and there's also that incident where Brutal Doom was broken on newer versions of GZdoom because the silly fuck put 0.I rather than 0.1

Yes, but Brutal Doom's fanbase is just that loud. Best thing you can do is just follow mods you like, love them, and share them with friends.

I hope more of this mod recommending/shilling gets better, so people know better and ditch BD.

Brutal Doom is good but GZDoom allows the player to jump, which can break the flow of the game. You can jump into areas which skip more than half the level. That is bad. Unbind that shit.

What if I play megawads that require jumping?
