Yes, its cheap as fuck and you will get the original wads to play in any source port of your preference, i recommend chocolate doom, most popular source ports automatically detect your doom folder if you bought it from steam, so you can start playing Doom the way was meant to be played right away.

The wads are the original game files, those are provided on the steam version are fine, problem is th shitty dosbox emulator it includes, you may look for a sourceport instead to play and customize the game how you like it, if you want oldschool experience get chocolate doom, it runs the game like it did originally, if you want a modernized doom with 60 fps and higher res support look for zdoom, both will automatically detect doom if you have it on steam.

I congratulate id for it. There were so many ways they could've made doomguy just a gun on wheels but everything, from the way he throws the monitor in the beginning, how he looks down at the corpse when Samuel says everything that happened was for the betterment of mankind, how Samuel says to carefully take out the Argent power things and doomguy fucking smashes it, all this without so much as a grunt.
