Welcome back, to [THE WORLD].

I actually played the G.U. games quite recently after playing the original 4 games in my younger days so I'm not sure about playing them again, are there enough changes to justify it? I'll probably buy it just to support them regardless.

MY
FUCKING
DICK

Seriously, was this the most unexpected announcement this year or what?

I've never completed a .hack game, but this thread doesn't deserve to die

Where did you get this excellent piece of art? How can one boy be so cute? Seriously, Kite is bae.

I have a strong desire to see a remastered IMOQ, but every time I think about the combat I have mixed feelings. While I would love to play them with the GU system, but I can't bring myself to say I would be ok with it.

The IMOQ would be much improved if small adjustments were made
>remove loading screens in dungeons
>hotkey abilities to certain buttons
>add charging attacks
>add gap closers
>better AI control
>reduce items that can be carried
>put items on cooldown
>auto-use items under certain parameters

Just some ideas

A new novel that focuses on real life Kite.

Any word on what platform they are running with on PC? Steam etc?

What is it called?

Steam I think.

>remastering G.U. before the original quadrilogy
For what purpose?

...

For some reason anouncements like this always some after i just get done finishing the orginals.
Like i just finished replaying all of the GU to vol3 a day before the anouncement came in. It sort of creeps me out.

>.Hack and Kirby have major anniversaries in 2017
This is truly the best year.

Based Kite deserves more than just some remaster. Not calling GU's remastered shitty as it has more effort put into it than even that trashy SotC ""remake.""

Because G.U is in a state where a fresh coat of paint can bring it up to modern JRPG standards whereas you would need to remake the originals completely to make it playable.

so it's another birth but for kite?

I guess so. Maybe we're not gonna get a remake of the original games after all if this exists.

Is the fighting game any good?

>no HD remaster for PS4 and PC of the original 7 game PS2 series

No thanks

Am I the only one who feels this series would benefit from a reboot? The entire series in game form, with some changes to the plot to keep things interesting

G.U. I think will do fine with the changes they've already announced.

I'm hoping after this they do go back and remake IMOQ with better gameplay elements but leave the story as is.
