No, seriously, how do you git gud at the game?
why didn't they just improve the first game?
you're not even you in that game. you're just a dumb car and traveling through towns is just going through menus. A total disgrace!
I honestly find 2 to be the most fun. Wish they'd make another World like 2 with a shitload more Digimon to work with.
Dna digivolving
LOTS OF DNA DIGIVOLVING
Spent countless hours as a child not knowing what to do when they hit 9999999 exp so I just kept catching new digimon. never finished it, will have to emulate it someday
hypest opening ever youtube.com
Did you mean?
>GRIND: The game
Because that is what this game is.
Still my favorite of the series, somehow.
>That final tournament battle against 3 enemies with HP high as fuck, 2 of then with Res and the third one with Party Full Heal.
How horrifying. It was much harder than the final boss.
no it's just a generic game. Not bad but not good either.
Iirc the game was easy as piss, but really, really tedious.
11 years old me didn't know better.
1. get Kuwagamon
2. easily beat everything in the early to mid game with fucking broken Scissor Arm
3. get Ookuwamon
4. easily beat everything in the mid to late game with fucking broken Scissor Arms Omega
That's not a casual filter. Unless by casual you mean someone who doesn't like Kuwagamon. I guess that's pretty fucking casual.
I never got passed the tutorial part. How the fuck did a kid supposed to know that they had to go in and out and back in to one of the three places in which you could get your digimon.
music was dope tho
You really don't need to DNA or grind that much. A single strong digimon along with some wild digimon will get you through everything up to File Island. So you can just DNA your main with one of the wild party members after every group of dungeons and later on you can DNA the leftovers with each other to fill the rest of the spots without ever going out of your way to level anyone other than your main. I beat the game with just one mega that I stopped DNA evolving halfway through File Island and two half-assed ultimates made from leftovers. I think my main had less than 10 DNA evolutions total and the other two party members had like 3 or so.
>Not 3 where you could get fucked before you even step three feet away from the first town.
that dungeon crawling was fucking great. loved DW2. I think my second disk got scratched up though because I remember getting stuck after letting my cousind borrow it. also for certain fucked up 2 copies of halo 2 because he couldn't put the disk in a case and his dogs scratched the hell out of them.
happened with the shadowrun game that was practically a cs copy in a new setting.
I disliked wild digimons, they had stats way too low compared to the ones i rised my own. But i dont think i did many more DNA than you did. But losing 10-15 level each DNA was a pain and the leveling rate was pretty slow.
Do you remember you in game save clock?
I know my capped at 99h about 60-70% in.
3 is Backtracking: The Game
>Backtracking through the bullshit random encounter rate
I got so many of my childhood hours wasted on that piece of shit, and I still never see it to the end.
I don't recall much about 3 when I a kid. But I do remember specifically not liking it.
I don't remember. I'm looking around for the game. My save is probably still there.
Yeah, I hated that too. It might have been tolerable with some good vehicles, but Submarimon and Digmon were even worse than walking.
Found it. 68 hours. I guess that's still a lot. My team at the end was Pierrotmon, ExTyrannomon, and Okuwamon. And I apparently named them Soul Remix, Synth Plague, and Mad Beat respectively? That's fucking hilarous!
the engrish voice acting in the game is top notch
why is there no cheat to lower the encounter rate in 3
Oh shit do you guys remember the digibattle card game on ps1? There's like an enhanced version now:
v-mundi.com
>it has multiplayer battles
>you can load saves for both players and play on one console
>the battle system is replaced by button mashing
Nothing of value was lost. The battle system really didn't lend itself to multiplayer and the odds of finding someone else who was not only willing to play a Digimon game but also had the patience for a particularly dull example of the dungeon crawler genre to play with you were slim to none.
?
I never played multiplayer. Did it change? I expected the gameplay to remain the same.
