I don't like action games with a severe anime style. Devil May Cry 1-3, No More Heroes, Castlevania: Lament of Innocence are all GREAT japanese action games. But I cannot fucking tolerate the aesthetic of God Eater or Attack on Titan

Tokyo Ghoul is pretty neat but right now I'm super into Let it Die and it looks like a lot of the same kind of gameplay so far.

Most if not all signs in the trailers point to Souls-style gameplay, but it's still the only E3 announcement that really caught my attention. Could be worth grabbing during a sale or something

This place hasn't been about anime since the 2016 election.

Post-apocalyptic dystopian setting with vampires that get supernatural powers related to drinking blood. Aesthetically it looks to be the basic destruction of humankind with decrepit cities and skyscrapers and the like, but those masks on the presumed player character(s) make it seem more sci-fiey

3 ruined dark souls for me and I sure as shit am not interested in a lower quality version of it that is dangerously japanese

Also happened to me, but mostly because of the fanservice wank the game was turned into. The complaints about DaS2 resulted in a shitshow.

A game completely free from any baggage, though? It's worth considering. Can't be worse than Lords of the Fallen or The Surge.

The Surge was coming really close to being a good game except the stats don't matter, they give you the best equipment in the very first level, and every enemy kills you in two hits.
